I think the issues I'm having are with overwatch's servers. I've already done this. While playing AND in voice chat, I'll randomly get disconnected from server even though I'm connected via Ethernet cable. When I come back? Says I'm in group chat but no mic plugged in when it clearly IS plugged in and then I get an error message from ovw. Simply clicking on and off the group chat button puts me back in the chat and everything is audible, but the settings will still say there's no mic.
No I have tried updating with Astro command center on PC and Xbox and it seems there is no fix, other than switching the charging station to PC while connected to Xbox…. But this allows you to hear them but not talk lol
@@deeplad8689 of course, I have reset to defaults, and tried the exact same settings as the person here, it’s intermittent, and can only communicate through discord with friends at this point

If you have still have an issue with VC even after this vid (still see icons but hear no sound)…it could be related to an Astro headset issue…at least in my case. When switching to an original headset or my other HS / Steelseries Artic 9x …my issue was solved. Please check in your situation if you have an Astro…if so this could be solved by them via a firmware update…maybe…?
A50s that are updated too, same for me. This has been like this for me on the game hell let loose forever too, tried everything under the sun to make it work and nothing.
Ok so on my old Xbox One S this was a HUGE issue but for some reason after I upgraded to a Xbox Series X it never happens anymore. I used to just reset my game like 10 times until it worked.

Only if you choose to. You can only be in one setting at a time. So if you are in Group chat, that is where you will be until you choose a different one.

Follow the video then All you have to do is when you join a game go to groups and just turn your mic on. Job done

My astro a10 doesnt let me game chat i can speak and hear them for a little then it completely freezes im gonna get a new mic and maybe it will work

Only if you choose to. You can only be in one setting at a time. So if you are in Group chat, that is where you will be until you choose a different one.
