I could totally see this as the Knights of the Round fighting Diamond Weapon and it makes me even more antsy for the FF7 remake. As much as it pains me however, I don't think the actual battles in the remake will be or should they be traditional straight up battles like we had in the OG. It's just a very boring thing to do when you have to fight this giant thing like the Adamantoise in FF15.
They need to have Emerald, Sapphire, Ultima, Ruby and Diamond Weapons in the FF7 Remake as shown here, gigantic and indestructable. Cloud and the others would fight Sapphire also, but eventually the Sister Ray destroys it like in the original. Lots of opportunities!

I was just really disappointed when I figured out you never get to fight it. Now that I know it's from 7, I'm even *more* disappointed that we can't fight it! I like 15, but... this was such a missed opportunity.

Imagine this weapon (or other weapons) being a summon or a limit break in future final fantasy games. You could do total pwnage with a summon such as this
A fight between weapons and summons would also be creazy. At least we finally got battles Eikons vs Eikons in the new FF 16 what I was ever dreaming of.

Not mention Weapons only awake when the planet is in danger, and i dont think at the time of Kingsglave the planet is under any treat.
