ULEZ Update: It's About Money, Not Air Pollution! | CONFIRMED!

- Media reports have confirmed that ULEZ and the forthcoming expansion are all about generating revenue for TFL (Transport for London) rather than actually trying to clean the air. They've already figured out how much they will make and how it will start to decline within just a few years.

Plus to save plants resources we should incentivising folk to KEEP THEIR OLD CARS, not the other way round. Buying any new vehicle (electric or not) is far damaging to the planet than keeping any old car on the road.
Well yeah we know that ....
but try telling them .
They have only got pound signs in their eyes .
and , they are only using the environment as the excuse ............🇬🇧🤔
Where's the reply this was a good comment and don t deserve comment does uutuubbee.
You are so right but that would crash the car industry if you didn't buy a new car . It's all a scam to control you and monitor your every move
Plant more trees, apparently they love co2.
I agree, even if they said to convert our old cars to make them either more fuel efficient, or make them LPG or electric that would be a great help and would cost half the money it would to buy a new car.
Direct action is the only way to beat these self serving elites who think we are all stupid
"who think we are all stupid"?
No one will take any action and will comply with these scams. The money they have raised proves that. I would call that pretty stupid.
@@mrade5321 unfortunately you are right people have become subservient too the elite master's who rule and control are life
Mass non compliance
ULEZ won’t affect the very wealthy as they can afford it. ULEZ will affect people with lower incomes. If they want cars off the road, then build more trams and affordable public transport.
@@mrade5321eah true. Everyone on here pretends to be an anti establishment rebel. Why is everyone already accepting/forgetting about the fact that the ULEZ was already expanded a couple years ago to the north and south circular?? So we are completely ok with that now. People should grow wise to this “bit by bit” strategy governments use to deploy Draconian policies. Move a little forward, then wait for the outrage to subside and people to get desensitised and then forward again.
I get the impression that Khan and the TFL are now getting very desperate over this ULEZ outrage. A booklet from them recently arrived through my front door churning out the same old rubbish. It must have cost thousands of money to print and distribute. Regular "adverts" get broadcast via Smooth Radio with now a chirpy girl blurting out "Did you know ULEZ is being expanded etc." And there is still the much awaited Court Hearing to arrive next month. It seems to me that Khan & Co. are digging a big hole for themselves and won't stop digging! !
You want to wipe your arse on it, put it an envelope and send it to Mr khans house or offices, mark the envelope urgent or confidential and forget to put a stamp on it. Put the return address as Labour or conservative headquarters.
A public information campaign regarding ULEZ expansion, which is coming in just a few months, is exactly that, a public information campaign. If you want to avoid being fined, you need information, or is that too simple to understand?
@@snowballsvlogs621it came from Davos 😂
The level of lies and deceit is just laughable.
@@dominicobeng623 correct, even using Calamity khan's figures only 10% of cars don't comply, and a number of those are compatible but were registered before the present standard became law, so if pollution is bad it must be due to compliant cars and taking those 10% off the road would make little difference, except to make money which he will waste like a good lefty.
Its very easy to accidentally enter the ulez zone. I was coming back from stanstead airport last week and due to diversion and road closure nearly ended in the ulez zone despite all my efforts to avoid this like the plague.
I think that in some cases, the cameras get turned off if you can only enter ulez, due to emergency roadworks or traffic accident blocking the only way to avoid ulez. But imagine the same if a road closure forced you to enter the motorway for the reasons above and your a learner driver. Thats why i think that all learner drivers should be allowed on motorways but this only currently applies to professional instructors.
Sorry to hear that
They need to make this more user friendly and we should get alerts on our phones that we are entering a ulez zone and you are required to pay for it
Of course. It will be traps everywhere, fine is a nice £90 not £12.5
Which means you'd be extending your journey just to avoid the charge thus defeating the illegid purpose.
If everyone stuck together and refused to pay this robbery. It will collapse.
Spot on, this will only work if folk realise they have a back bone.
Of course it’s about money. Or we wouldn’t have a situation whereby you can take a heavily polluting vehicle into a Ulez zone. Providing you pay a fee of £12,50
Yeah and there goes one of the myths surrounding the whole ULEZ scam , the words ' heavily polluting vehicles' or ' high polluting vehicles'. There arn't any of these so called vehicles on the roads otherwise they wouldn't pass the national MOT test. Don't forget every car, van, lorry and bus HAS to pass this test including an emissions test, all Khunt has done is move the goalposts to suit himself and the more these misleading words are used the more misinformed people will get.
Yes true. You can tell the real climate zealots from the cash grabbers because they would just ban the cars altogether.
Get rid of the mayor and get the ulez stopped i do hope we win in court
💯
Don’t go to court ignore the letter just put the car in someone name
Yeah the Ukrainian refugees don’t have to pay for Ulez though - apparently it’s because “they can’t afford a new car” which is ridiculous- neither can I.

Around my area the Ulez adverts are claiming that car pollution causes 40% of all Alzheimer's cases. You can't make this up....
Sometimes I can't believe Humanity has managed to survive over 100 years of the automobile! 🤦🏽♂️😂
There is scientific data linking air pollution from transport with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. There is also evidence that it contributes to heart disease, stroke, chronic breathing disorders, asthma, and lung cancer.
However, it is fair to say that the main culprit is diesel exhaust rather than petrol, as diesels produced 100x more PM2.5 than petrol vehicles.
Surely you can't be expected to remember to pay the fine if you have that
@@darethgillard5048To use that card you’d either have to admit that you ‘might’ have the condition or supply/deliver a confirmed diagnosis. Either way, it would almost certainly result in your driving license being cancelled.
I find this claim absolutely insensitive and just plain lies. My wife passed away at just 61 years of age a couple of years ago from Dementia, and we live in surban Hertfordshire. Khant is a K*nt. His incompetence and willy waving is destroying London. Still, if all the shops close and Londoners move out, there will lots of space for illegals - let's see him raise revenue from those guys!
I imagine people are leaving London in their droves especially with everyone working from home now
And then all those office blocks can be converted into flats for low paid workers.............
We left London, Not due to travel costs but due to the rising violent crime rate that Khan has done nothing to quell.
Khan is the perfect representation of the destructive forces these type of politicians will bring. God save us all.
Most jobs are hybrud working rather than all from home
@@annother3350 But being allowed to WFH means that it becomes possible to leave the capital, live in the countryside and commute to town a couple of times per week. There are significant financial advantages for living outside of London so long as the commuting is kept under control.
I took a wrong turn on the south circular in my van in the dark and rain on my way to play wheelchair tennis at the national tennis centre - drove about 50yds in the zone and got a £90 fine. I live in devon and had no idea where ulez started. I tried to pay the £12.50 when i realised but no link to help me find out if i went in the zone or not. When I paid the fine online there is a link there to pay on the day...its a scam...
If it was about polution then they'd physically stop us driving in the zone...its about making normal working people poorer.
Have to pay to drop or pickup from Heathrow... Shows its about the money... makes you laugh really seeing the amount of pollution from the planes
Keep up the good work. I am impressed!
Thank you!
How this is going to work is when it stops making money they will say cars up to 2010 can’t go in the zone and then it will go up and up until no petrol cars can’t go in it anymore.
The ultimate plan is to ban cars altogether......when they`ve s crewed the car drivers for everything that we have.
You got it.
The next thing that comes up in the Sadiq/TFL saga is the pay per mile. They will want to know who is in the car, where you are going. Oh and another thing that I read just recently is that the Russians have intercepted the ULEZ cameras and accessed personal information regarding data I.e names, addresses, car registrations and any other information Kahn wants to collect on the British public. It’s like BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU.
I went to a party last week. Just off the north circular and went inside the zone 8pm arrived payed the £12.50. We left the venue at 00.02. Forgot to pay again as it's the new day didn't even cross my mind. This morning tfl fine dropped through the letter box. I am spitting feathers. This is what they are relying on🤬
Sorry to hear 🙁

i live just south of city airport, the number of plains taking off has increased massively over the past 5 years , these air craft are at full throttle to take off, this airport is just on the boundary of the existing ulez , this must increase pollution far more than cars, now greenwich council are proposing the ban of ice cream vans in woolwich and around greenwich park stating they are a major cause of pollution
Yeah too much ice cream is bad for you! I'm off for some right now. LOOOOL
I googled the air traffic and commented about it on one of the channels a while ago. I bet the pollution from planes is more than the road traffic.
Ice cream vans FFS 🎉
It’s like donnington race track that has noise limits of 98db on a drive by test. Lots of cars make more noise than that coasting with their engines off.
Buttttt, the race track is right next to East Midlands airport and the planes make more noise than any of the cars do. Idiotic.
What a load of cobblers, it's just cause the minority don't like ice-cream.
People from the whole UK now has to stop this from their vote and explicitly tell there MPs But unfortunately some people are already brainwashed
For all those out there who think this doesn’t affect them because they have changed vehicles to be compliant.
Once the revenue drops as more people change out their cars and more are naturally taken off the road.
WATCH OUT FOR THE GOAL POST TO MOVE.
and that so called compliant car you paid tens of thousands for is all of a sudden not compliant.
Its always about money.. if khan wanted to clean up the air in london, the idea would be to ban the car vans etc that pollute.. By still letting those vehicles in, the air will still be polluted.. its just you are forced to pay to pollute the air instead..
I live close to Maidstone in Kent and a new village of 1000 houses built near me is nearing completion…65% of the new residents have relocated from London and given what’s happening in London you can understand why
Escaping the rat race and the disgusting air pollution in London may be another reason for that..
Keep up the great work brown car guy👍
Thanks!
It is about CONTROL.....
Of course it's about money, it always is. And as usual the easiest target to pick on is the motorist. Same with all these 20mph limits everywhere, you can now be fined for 'speeding' at 22mph! It's utterly ridiculous!
Better get use to it the climate agender is one big cash grab
My friend strayed into the zone last year. She never had the first notification (and still hasn’t) so she didn’t have the option to reduce it to £90…had to pay the £180…how convenient that the first letter was lost in the post
Oh no!
'Black belt barrister' did a video on this.
Shazhad, we have got to get you on the radio shows, especially LBC. We need someone with your calmest of delivery and knowledge to call out the misinformation and false emotive propaganda that is being being pumped out about health and pollution. The adverts also make my blood BOIL!! We NEED YOU on there.
Of course ULEZ was always about the money. Sadiq Khan won't cancel the expansion now, even if he wanted to. Too much money has been committed to companies like Capita etc. for the set up and any row back on this will cost the London Assembly/tfl a fortune. Any new mayor will keep the status quo, whoever they are.
Its a good day when everyone comes together 😉
Not surprised really. We all knew it was about the money. Please pass this onto Geoff Buys Cars.
lol. There would be no money if people simply complied with the ULEZ compliance standards.
@@FullFact548 Lol - how long before they move the goalposts for compliance? 🤔
@lotusgroup123 I guess that will depend on the fall in air pollution from road transport. If it remains high, then they may increase the compliance standards, which are set by central government by the way. If air quality improves and causes less damage to health, then they'll leave where it is. Although in time they may decide that only EVs can enter the city..
@@FullFact548people don't have the money to comply with ULEZ standards.
@johnconnor3865 That may be true for some, except you can buy a ULEZ compliant petrol car for less than a £1k. By the same token, people can't afford to move to a green suburb away from toxic pollution from heavy traffic either. Perhaps you are not aware that it's the poorest in society who are disproportionately affected by air pollution? That includes asthma sufferers who can't afford the prescription charges for their medication because of the cost of living crisis.
thankyou mate for exposing this scam
We need to vote sisan hall
I live in Surrey just a few streets outside London, and the public transport here is much less frequent, and you will see cars in almost every front yard of the houses here (a nigh-gamechanger in these areas, ) and yet the air is noticeably cleaner than in London. So tell me again, is this ULEZ supposed to be better for the environment?
of course it's not about the environment if it were all these vehicles would be banned altogether, the fact you can pay £12.50 and then go about your business proves it. Paying the money does not alter anything except that thieving bast**ds bank account.
Your doing a good job.. I will say it isn't just the revenue they are after..Remember they can majick up money out of nothing.
Hey BCG. Love your channel. I used to work in a medical research company and worked with researchers. I spoke to them about the research they did and they said that essentially they have an idea and look for the statistics to back up their theory. Then they publish a paper for peer review which is more researchers doing the same work to see if they get the same results. It’s not an exact science and can easily be skewed. To say that heart disease is caused by cars is poor research at best.
Valuable info - many thanks!
Hearsay, not valuable. Talk about clutching at straws. I suggest you actually read the research for yourself. It's freely available online. While you're at it, read the research into particles found in unborn babies, lungs and brains. Or, the research showing the levels of known pollutants in blood?
One thought popped up in my mind. If a small business within the ULEZ zone, let’s say a shop or tourist attraction sees sales reduce post ULEZ implementation, will they be able to sue MR Khan for the loss of turnover and for having a negative effect on their business. Assuming they can prove footfall had dropped of course from before and after ULEZ implementation?
Businesses are already closing as a result of this.
As of Aug 29th I won't be going into any areas of London by car due to the charge. And now TFL are stopping the daily travel card which will cost me an extra 40-60 % more in fares! So, seeing friends in north London for meals, shopping etc will stop. I won't be using the garden centre I usually go to, won't go to the pub only a couple of miles away as it's in the ULEZ zone, I would rather drive to another city to spend my money than go into London. Thousands of businesses will be affected.
Did any business that lost patronage due to the lurgy restrictions sue government?
@@petesmitt Gov didn’t make lurgy as far as I am aware! Khans ULEZ is a human made product/ scheme.
Hello
Question. I haven't been to London for about 40 years and don't intend to ever go there again. Out of interest could someone who doesn't know the roads cross London in their car and not get any fines ?. If this was for people's health then surely the underground would be the best place to start. In fact if TFL trains put out to much than the mayor should be fined every time they start up.
If you stay outside of the North and South Circular roads you should be okay. But if you use those roads, it's possible to accidentally stray into the zone if you come off it on the wrong side.
A good mate who works for TFL claims Khan has to implement this to pay for the latest RMT pay deal, as central government has refused to pay anymore to his budget.
He bankrupted TFL
And he pays all his managers very big money unlike his workers
Still don't understand why londoners have not kick out the Mayor and those in the Councils. Incredible!
MailOnline Headline " Sadiq Khan's TfL has issued £400MILLION worth of Ulez fines in less than 18 months " obviously not about money, but clean air.
Yeah, the fossil fuel supporting, oligarch owned Mail, is a great source of propaganda. Air pollution in the UK costs £billions due to poor health and premature death. The Royal College of Physicians estimates £24 billion a year..
Once again I like, what are you doing? Also like your shirt you are absolutely right just as we expected, it was nothing to do with a quality. It was all to do with making money at the beginning as we knew all along the system as you rightly said ULEZ putting cameras all around London, and in London, and I’m not surprised that the deals were made behind the back door. It just shows you once again people like the mayor of London Sadik Khan if you really cared you would come out and help local businesses and the working class people. It’s all to do with getting more money out of the poor working-class people.
Most of cameras going up by biggin Hill & surrounding area have ripped down
Good. I live there . Possibly the cleanest air inside the M25 .
Brilliant that is the best news well done to whoever
Wrong. Most if not all are still up. Police have arrested and charged those vandalising these cameras. We need more people
Well they've definitely had the cables cut
If ULEZ is about the air pollution and not money, why is TFL not showing how much the pollution levels have dropped, since the introduction of the Zone. Proving its worth? Not just making up figures of how it is causing premature deaths?
46% improvement in Central London, 25% in Inner London if I recall correctly from recently released figures
Every time this piece of crap opens he's mouth the lies roll out it's unbelievable what depths he will go to justify the highway robbery
You're so right about the effects of these fines. If I get a ticket because something was unclear or I turned into a road I wasn't supposed to then I tend to just stop going anywhere near that area again. Not good for the local businesses but that's the reality of it.
Wow, you discovered America! Well done..
It’s always been about how much they can make it’s an easy target to make millions off of drivers
It's all about money , in the name of the environment ""
the environment is just the excuse .🇬🇧
It went down
because cameras came down.
Well done lads.
They say that Air Pollution has killed 9,400 people. What it not clarified is, whether it is from car emissions or Industrial! The population of London is supposed to be, 8.92 million (2019). The victims account for 0.00105 of that sum, if I'm correct?
more people get stabbed in Khan's London than die from air pollution
Although it has reported that the main cause on a death certificate is one - a 9 year asthmatic girl in 2013 - the other figures are estimates - why estimate if its on the death certificate - sounds like these figures are plucked out of thin (allegedly polluted) air to fit the narrative and scare us into compliance to the money making machine
If according to govt stats 90% of cars already meet the standards for ULEZ then it's obviously about money. The next thing is they'll switch on pay per mile for everyone in the zone.
Personally I can't wait to be priced off the road, so I can extend my life by 3 days. Driving is almost as deadly as water. Did you know that everyone, anywhere in the world who has drunk the stuff has died.😳
Oh damn... You are right!! I'll feel much better when they put a £12.50 surcharge on drinking water I'm sure 😜😂
The phrase “well Duh!!” Comes to mind. 😂
I went to southwoodford last week to see a relation and because I’d not pre-booked it cost me £17.50 for the ULEZ
I’m glad I don’t live in that hole any more (London) the place is a joke
As i live outside the north circ I had to register ,so if I do screw up , They just take the fee from me rather than a fine. I recommend registering. Yes all about. Money making.
I think this is also somewhat true for speed cameras. If you are rich, then the speed cameras are there to mainly make money, but that is also why you get at least 3 points on your license and the max is 12 (6 for new and provisional drivers).
0:46 this makes a lot of sense as I always questioned the ULEZ as 20 years ago the government was encouraging people to buy Diesels as they were more fuel efficient and less polluting than any other vehicles, which is very true to back this, the Road tax system has made a lot of newer Petrol & Diesels cheaper on Road tax compared to some petrol models, this is the crazy thing I had a 2002 1.4 VW Lupo Auto that was nearly £300 on Road tax for the year compared to my 2012 2.0 VW Golf however the Lupo drank on petrol like crazy but was ULEZ compliant and my Golf which is 3 times more fuel efficient than the Lupo is less than half the cost on road tax compared to the Lupo but I have to play ULEZ for my car, tell me if this is not corrupt or not. It is definitely a scam as most driver cannot afford to buy newer cars than what they have and for some drivers the charges is killing their pockets which is sad because this is putting a lot of drivers off the road, if you think about how the ULEZ is set up it is targeted towards drivers that CANNOT afford to change their cars this is not fair I wish something could be done about this 😢
Their income will naturally reduce that’s why the expansion and when that starts to drop off it’ll become road charging because the infrastructure is already in place, the fact that air quality on the TFL tube system is at danger levels yet no action by TFL to reduce cancers and heart attacks there.
ULEZ cameras are increasing almost daily in Hillingdon. I saw four new ones just this morning.

When anyone goes on line to pay. The system does not notify you that you are compliant or have not actually entered a zone. So I wonder how much profit they are making on unnecessary payments?
weve been diverted into the ULEZ zones on purpose, when i asked the guy putting the signs up he laughed and said sorry mate. i ended up with a fine.
We know that this government is always trying to screw the motorist with the parking fines
One of the things that always irked me about the ULEZ is that you only have 2 days to pay it before you get a fine. Which, if you're travelling into London for a few days to work for example could be quite inconvenient. I'd like to know how much they actually bring in from penalties.
They need to PROOVE these statistics to us all.
They need to "prove" nothing. The statistics are readily available online.
With this kind of revenue, it won't be long before smaller villages throughout the UK will have ulez. What a trade killer for them.
That's the plan..
Always follow the money 💰.
Sadiq Khan’s, to reduce toxic air by expanding the ULEZ to greater London will not work.
He doesn’t really care about toxic air quality and here is why:
- He has already made the toxic air far worse since he has introduced the LTN’s which have increased the toxic air on the main roads because we are forced to use them as there are no other alternatives, especially during rush hour. The roads are now grid locked with traffic moving at walking pace and the fumes are getting denser and not dispersing. LTN’s need to be reopened as it is causing more damage than good.
Among all this, the mileage in vehicles has also increased due to the fact that we are forced to go the long way round to get to the required destination - all accumulating to even more emission being emitted! Bravo Sadiq & team.
- The health for pedestrians and children as they walk along these main routes to get to stations, schools, shops is deteriorating. Even the drivers inhale more fumes when we are stuck in stationary traffic. This is really aggravating and makes no sense!
- Cycle Lanes: Should not be taking up an extra lane of the roads, large pavements could be divided into two for cyclists.
- The introductions of 20MPH roads are also a problem because emission fumes don’t disperse quickly and the air is getting even more polluted because of the need to drive in lower gears.
Sadiq’s statement: “It is to reduce toxic air pollution” is clearly not accurate and is making matters worse. The situation is getting extremely out of hand and something needs to be done to stop him from ruining our climate even more. He should resign and Londoners should vote for someone who will make London a greater and more desirable place to live in. There needs to be a more logical and strategic plan that is well thought.
Vinnie Lauda
where does the money end up ? whos account ?? does it stay in london or get sent out offshore ?
I commuted on a motorbike from northwest London to east London almost everyday for 15 years, and I cannot agree. For example, he took measurements on Marylebone Road on what what looks to be a fairly clear day in Summer at Baker Street - same for Oxford Circus - and traffic was busy, but not rush hour when I travelled. Please show us measurements on Euston Road at rush hour in January. I always had to wear a mask of some sort at those points. It was said at that time to be the most polluted area in the UK, and we got fined by the EU for it for many years without doing anything about it. I don’t know about the ULEZ extension. But personally I think we should take a more direct approach - especially with black cabs - many of which clearly well exceed pollution levels. Vans too should be better monitored. But thanks for your work all the same.
That is disgusting poor people
I am hard of hearing, I live next to a busy road, do you think the cars have caused it? (Joking)
If there is anything that will stop my heart is the dictator Khan.
As various solicitors are asking people to claim compensation for misdescribed diesel cars. Should we not ask for compensation for our non compliant ULEZ cars we should sue TFL . I suggest a sum equal to £12.50 a day I don’t expect a profit.
Now that's thinking laterally. Whether or not it will work, it could be worth a try..
Well never, who would have thought it 😂.
What is the result if you never pay the pcn ever
Labour once told us that they want to introduce "Pay per mile system." What's going to happen to these ULEZ cameras when the whole nation goes electric? Why not use this money to install as many charging points as possible since many people are buying electric cars? Is the UK really polluted?
Yes, the UK is really polluted, accounting for 40k plus deaths a year. There are as many as 42 large towns and cities that regularly exceed legal levels for NOx and PM2.5.
Yes, a lot more money needs to be invested in electric car chargers. The government recently announced an extra £1.8 billion for EV charging, but they make many spending pledges they never keep, so we have to wait and see on that one.
Of course it's more about the fines than the actual charge. Who would not pay £12.50 just so they get a fine for £180. People forget. Oh, and don't forget the poor woman who dared to have a miscarriage and 'forgot' to pay her CC charge, well you would wouldn't you, it's a traumatic experience. She appealed on the basis of her miscarriage and TFL refused to waive the fine. In their letter TFL said they “Whilst TfL recognises that this must have been a distressing time for you, there is a responsibility for the appropriate charge to have been paid for the use of a vehicle on a road within the Congestion Charging Zone.
“We have considered fully the issues raised and decided that on this occasion we are unable to exercise discretion and the PCN will not be cancelled.”
Yes, they eventually backtracked when Khan intervened but what cold hearted person sent that letter in the first place. Oh, and there was a furore that the person that sent that letter was a man, don't know why, but no, it was a woman, D Milton. Imagine being married to that. These people are cold hearted and evil.
Lost for words!
It's always been about money and control
So. Who gets the money? You might assume it's TFL, but given that most of this will be provided by private companies..... Nice little earner for someone? Hmmm.
Whats about black cabs then?
They were all dirty diesels.
Are they all ULEZ now?
Switching to hybrid electric
@@BrownCarGuy when?

Taxis are not in scope of the ULEZ because they are legally obliged to use a certain type of vehicle that is purpose designed for London’s unique street network and fully accessible to wheelchair users. However, Transport for London (TfL) has set strict licensing requirements which came into force from the beginning of 2018, designed to speed up the replacement of dirty diesel taxis with electric vehicles, with the support of dedicated charge points. The licencing requirements far exceed the ULEZ emission standards and mean that no more diesel taxis are being licensed and all new taxis must be zero emission capable.
@@BrownCarGuy I need to use my van a certain type vehicle for my work
You lovely legend. Thanks for the update. Don't pay the charges dont pay the fines. Did they fund the cameras from our money? If so, that means we can do what we want with our property. So we can just take them down if they're ours?
Thank you 🙏🏽
All government property is funded from taxes, so next time you see a police car, just take it..
@@petesmitt ok, I’ll try that next time I see one 😂
I wonder if a police car would be ulez exempt, win win 🤣
The PCN acronym reminds me of the PCR bogus test..
How does money make the air cleaner ?????
The government has got a perfect puzzle for you ,!!!
Get lair khan out and stop ulez expansion
Thank you
All the for the corrupt Mayor and the government.
All that will happen is number plate cloning in a big way
How many cigarettes are burnt (smoked) everyday with all those chemicals released and harms being done?
So they put horrific packaging on them and raise the prices of selling them to deter people from smoking?
It’s not about Health,it’s about revenue and always has been
Criminals at work 😮
Good point, but isn't that why smoking was banned in enclosed spaces? Actually, there's a comparison here, as levels of air pollution are higher inside a vehicle than outside.
Yeah they tax the sh*t out of cigarettes
They would tax walking and fresh air if cars did not exist as they have to get the public money form somewhere to pass on to the private corporations that instruct government politicians on how to make money for them!
End all food & drink deliveries into the Borough of Westminster.
See how many parties they can hold in a lockdown.
But TFL keep telling us that everything journey matters
Something you are all missing is what the public at large really think..
In 2023, Lung + Asthma UK conducted new research into people’s views and barriers to making cleaner transport decisions. We asked the general public what their current travel behaviours were, what was stopping them from using cleaner transport, what support they might need, and what their views and awareness was on air pollution.
The public are concerned about air pollution levels in the UK. 69% are concerned
People want to use cleaner transport, but they say there are no good options for their journeys. 48% agree
The public want to see more investment in public transport. 67% agree
The public would like to use electric vehicles, but they’d need support to purchase one. 67% agree
The public would like to see investment in active travel, to make it safer and more accessible. 71% agree
The public want to see more investment in public transport. 85% agree.
I'm not sure what you'll make of these numbers but it seems that the majority of the public wants cleaner transport and cleaner air.
All these cameras, MUST BE "DESTROYED", By the general population:: They can't keep buying new ones at these costs per camera::::
Of course it's about money. It's ALWAYS about money..
This won’t go away just by voting Khan (and Labour in general) out. This is a far deeper issue than either party politics or left wing softees.
True, like the climate crisis!
So if everybody has a ULEZ compliant car, TFL wont generate any money.🤔
Scums will find another way. We must fight them
They will. When you buy a new car, you are contributing towards the economy and tax which in turn goes back into the governments pocket (and the TfL is basically the government). Using a car in general funds the government massively (eg more than half of the fuel price isn’t even for the fuel itself but taxes). Systems designed for you lose.
Of course its about money always is .
it's all about the money its just a TAX and it will help keep normal people off the road to help the rich and public sector workers out, as if they don't have enough perks now !!!
With that sort of income, no future Mayor will get rid of it
In time, all cars will be ULEZ compliant, and there will be no income at all. But, at least the air will be more breathable
London is clean. Visited 2020 and i was shocked. No migraine. No overwhelming amount of exhaust smells. No need for ulez. These aint 40s or 50s
Nothing we didn’t know already, that it is pure money grabbing.
Its actually far worse than that. Look into the Sustainable Development Goals..
