i really like your coupler setup, can you explain a little more detailed what parts are in the coupler setup? what is the black sleeve that appeared and what keeps the whole shaft from sliding down through?
I tried this last year and still can’t find a ice fishing transducer so I’ll be making another. When used while sleeping on the ice my cutting board shattered lol.
The knobs you describe for the transducer, are they added to the original screws somehow, or are those completely different screws that you matched the machine pattern from the original provided screws? Are those something I could find at Lowe’s?
I like your idea of using the Black-box and using the DeWalt batteries is a cool thought as well ! Kudos !
thank you very much for a good, down to earth approach to this setup!
Thank you for taking the time to provide this excellent video. I plan to make one very similar to yours. I highly appreciate sharing your skills.
Thanks! I’m really glad you are finding it helpful.
$125 for this from Garmin! Easy peasy doing it yourself for $20. Thanks for the idea!
I like that ideal. That’s slick

Nice job
Does the coupler keep the inner pipe form sliding up and down?

Great Video, what type case are you using for storing the electronics?

What brand/model is that black base?
It is an Apache case. A link to that build is in the description.
