So there’s a rules question going on in the comments. I asked my judge friend Kenneth to provide some context so here it is:
800.4a When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the game and any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end. Then, if that player controlled any objects on the stack not represented by cards, those objects cease to exist. Then, if there are any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled. This is not a state-based action. It happens as soon as the player leaves the game. If the player who left the game had priority at the time they left, priority passes to the next player in turn order who's still in the game.
Example: Alex casts Mind Control, an Aura that reads, "You control enchanted creature," on Bianca's Assault Griffin. If Alex leaves the game, so does Mind Control, and Assault Griffin reverts to Bianca's control. If, instead, Bianca leaves the game, so does Assault Griffin, and Mind Control is put into Alex's graveyard.
Example: Alex casts Act of Treason, which reads, in part, "Gain control of target creature until end of turn," targeting Bianca's Runeclaw Bears. If Alex leaves the game, Act of Treason's change-of-control effect ends and Runeclaw Bears reverts to Bianca's control.
Example: Alex casts Bribery, which reads, "Search target opponent's library for a creature card and put that card onto the battlefield under your control. Then that player shuffles their library," targeting Bianca. Alex puts Serra Angel onto the battlefield from Bianca's library. If Bianca leaves the game, Serra Angel also leaves the game. If, instead, Alex leaves the game, Serra Angel is exiled.
Example: Alex controls Genesis Chamber, which reads, "Whenever a nontoken creature enters the battlefield, if Genesis Chamber is untapped, that creature's controller creates a 1/1 colorless Myr artifact creature token." If Alex leaves the game, all such Myr tokens that entered the battlefield under Alex's control leave the game, and all such Myr tokens that entered the battlefield under any other player's control remain in the game.
Thanks for this explanation, makes sense to me too
So much value here 🙏🙏 I must maximize my screen time and watch ALL The Cookout videos for all the optimal entertainment (AND education = Edutainment!) 😎😎 and also appreciate the production value! ❤👍❤👍
Im always happy to see PwrDragon in collaborations.
Me too!
These cookouts are always a blast to watch, and probably so much better in person just seeing all these friends hanging out. Same energy with going to Brian and Olivia's house for commander nights.
Love to see it! We are all here for the vibes!!!! 😎😎😎
Facts, I really enjoy most of the MTG channels, but the vibes from the cookout vids and Olivia an Brian's commander at home are top notch. 3rd best has gotta to the the Prof.
22:48 I love how Joe was soooo much in the zone while playing Ob that he got startled by the wind chimes 😅
🤣🤣🤣 that deck has so many moving parts!
Thanks for sharing your table with us 💛
As the resident "enchantment guy' of the LGS at which i am employed, i will posit:
Devin's licid doesn't remove the other types from the creature it targets (it doesn't stop being a creature). If you look at the card's oracle text, it reads "Enchanted creature gets +1/+1 and is an artifact in addition to its other types". I don't think it ultimately mattered in this instance, but may be relevant in future interactions. < 3's and thank you as always for the content and entertainment.
Great episode! Your cookout episodes look like such a fun time!
Thank you for tuning in! They are always a fun time! 🥳
Joe I’m so happy to see you doing the cookout again this year it’s so inspiring to see you be a great leader and voice in the mtg community bringing together like minded creators and celebrate is amazing. Also I’m so stoked to see you having fun playing the game.
Another new game! It’s rapid fire videos these days. Love to see it! I hope to see soooo many games from the cookout! This is crazy fun!
Great game! Lovin that positive energy at the table! Thank you for sharing this content with us all 🎉
Your videos are excellent and I hope you keep representing your ideas through media. Your friends seem like really good people.
player intros is such a nice touch. I love the casual intro before the games but those edited slides for each were so cool
The cookouts look like a amazing time! The cookout videos always bring a smile to my face just a group of friends hanging out, enjoying good food and enjoying some magic. Nothing beats that!
My kinda cookout.
Never ceases to amaze me how good the sound quality is while y'all filming outside.
Love these episodes!! Always dope to see everyone getting down in the backyard
Love the content, the vibe, the original music. Keep up the great work- cheers mate!
Fire episode 😊look forward to every game of commander on this channel
I can’t wait to see the other cookout games. I wish I was there to meet these great people but watching this is just as good.
very good episode, as usual! this channel is my favorite by far 😊
Thank you so much!!! Appreciate the love! 🥳🥳🥳
Loved the episode!! Looks like it was a great group for some Magic Mischief 😂 can’t wait to see more!
Always love the dynamics and energy at the Tabletop Jocks table.
Appreciate you! Thanks for coming to hang out with us!!! 🥳
Every year I have something to look forward to! Joe's Jamboree! Hands down best MTG content creator! Someday I will get my Table Top Jocks playmat signes by Joe. Dear Santa: Have Joe sign my playmat...lol. 😂.
Appreciate the love and I’m going to Vegas! See you there?! 🥳
Might be my favorite episode so far !
Love the cookouts! Keep ‘em coming ☺️
Great episode! Loving the decks
Love this episode! Great job!!
Appreciate the love! Thank you! 🫶🏾🙌🏾
Great game, that opening hand/play was super fine.
Great episode. Love the cookout ones the most.
Everyone had such a strong start, this was a lot of fun to watch!
“We live for the fuck ship!”
Indeed we do, sir.
Looks like a beautiful day to play some magic with beautiful people. Fun times.
Transmogrifying Licid was used wrong. It makes the enchanted creature an Artifact "in addition to it's other types". It cannot be used to make wormcoil copyable by Mishra unfortunately ☹️
I’m so pumped to see someone play Zimone. Strixhaven was a great set. I run her in my Grolnok deck for ramp and she’s a star.
Just a thought on mishra. You could have had sculpting steel not enter as a copy of wormcoil on initial cast so that each turn after mishra makes a copy of sculpting steel that becomes a copy of wormcoil then sacs at end step creating the 2 3/3 worms..
Damn that’s some tech right there I didn’t even think of that!
Holy shit, it's a "may"... that's nuts
Sad to see this episode didnt do as well as the others but its a really good one, I hope it picks up a little more traction, you deserve any and all success Joe
I really like the cookout episodes, it’s a fun concept and reminds me playing magic at parties and events I go to. I think you should check your mic set up, cause watching with headphones I noticed audio was only coming out of the right headphone, so I think filming outside effects how things sound and look, cause there was some glare on the cards. Excited for more of the cookout and content tho. Maybe next year, make one table have a some lav mics and some kind of cover for glare.
Loved that intro.. Dope ass video. Keep up the awesome work my guy!
Appreciate the love!!! Thank you for watching and for your support 🙌🏾
FINALLY HOME! So excited to watch this
That was a very fun game to watch! That Rakdos deck was hilarious. I was a bit confused at the end, because I believe PowrDragn would've won if played out. But I also see in a game this chaotic, it's easy to loose track of who owned what, and what leaves play after a player "dies". Great content y'all!
Thanks for watching! Yeah I pinned a post from a judge buddy of mine after asking him what happened. I think he got it too but it’s all love and good times!!! 🥳🫶🏾
❤❤❤always great watching your videos my guy keep up the great work 👍 👏 💪 👌 🙌 🙏
Love the energy of this pod keep up the good work Joe
Cookout episode!!!!!!!!!!!
Best actual play mtg series of all time 💜
Yep.
Fantastic as always. Loved to see a fellow mishra player!
Such a strong commander!!! Thanks for watching! 🫶🏾
Mishra's the best. It's my favourite deck by a huge margin - and Breya was my main deck before I got Mishra. I don't even miss Smothering Tithe and Esper Sentinel; Mishra's that good.
Keep it coming
When everyone is the problem at the table 😂. Some spicy decks here. Love it.
Didn't really matter here, but Transmogrifying Licid gives a creature the Artifact type in addition to its other types. The wording on the card can be easily misunderstood, but the licid itself just loses all other types when it becomes an aura, not the creature it enchants.
Amazing video. I felt like I was right there at the table with you all. Loved the quote “Try Jesus. Don’t try me, I throw hands.” 😂
Super fun game! Can't wait to see more of this year's cookout, last year's episodes were a blast
Let’s go! More in store for sure!!! Thanks for watching! 🥳
For the glory of The Cookout!!
Love the cookout episodes!!
Cookout vids!!!! Ahhh I love it!
Fun game! 'Grats to Indy for the win!
Love the cookout
Someone turned up the hue on the video. I thought it was my phone but I went to a different video haha. Over all great video!
Jo, feelin' lonely at 51:50 ? hahah loved the show, great episode
Hey! We back in the house! Such an awesome game!
Let’s go!!! Thanks for the love! We out here!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
What a game!
Loving to content as always, the vibe was awesome. What life counter are you using the display is so clear.
Thank you so much! We are using an app called MoxTopper! Very cool and easy to use app! Appreciate the love! That’s why we are here! The gathering! The vibes 😎
The Cookout is a whole vibe! Good food, friends and Magic. Gathering, from the front to the back. Polaroids in the intro was a dope touch.
Great game. I love Decent, when unchecked, it becomes the clock, haha.
Fire. Keep it up
Transmogrifying licid has errata making artifact in addition to other types instead of losing all other types.
Those deck boxes are sweet
Gem accessories are the shit! 🥳
correct me if i am wrong but when joe uses Ob to block at 34:08 shouldn't the elf die. which means it wouldn't be around to attack again on the next turn? I dont know if it mattered really but seems like a pretty weird thing to overlook unless i missed something.
lmao "would you like to pay one?" for the esper sentinel trigger from you casting rhystic studies. poetic.
PwrDragn AND the guys from One More Mana in the same cookout? Fuck yeah
You know we got the squadddddd!!! 🥳
That’s exactly what I was thinking!
I like seeing Ob Nixilis. He's one of my favorite commander. Maybe i'm wrong, but Rakdos Charm will not trigger Ob since it didn't dealt exactly 1 damage to an opponent. The damage of the spell happens all at once. The way for it to trigger is if an opponent control exactly one creature. Nonetheless, it was an awesome game!
Oops 😅 🤣 I didn’t realize that but now that I think about it yeah that makes sense! Live and you learn! Thanks for watching!!! 🥳
Awesome video man 😂
I thought wind Chimes was the ice cream truck
I milly rock on any block! ha ha ha ha ha
Yo Joe you know I need that Ob list! Rakdos GANG GANG
Links are always in the bio 🥳
@Joe, do you have a link to those accessories?
It’s in the bio now! 🥳
@@TabletopJocks yay.....
I’d sell my soul to phyrexia to get an invite to one of these cookouts.
Y’all wouldn’t be ready for my BBQ skills. 💥
Commenting for the algorithm
25:07 imagine if she snagged Orcish Bowmasters !!!!! Infect on them !!!!
Joe! Every time you each opponent effect took place your kingpin should have got you 3 cards and 3 counters to dominate this game! You had an overload of riches
It says one or more though. Would he see each trigger? I thought if it happened at the same time then I wouldn’t get it. 🤔
I love how auntie won with no graveyard lmao
Such ded. Great game!
GG! I have to say the video colouring put me off a bit, the place seems to be quite nice as bright as it is.
Idk if it's been said, but what life counter app are they using?
Moxtopper
Ob nixilis triggers for every 1 damage done to opponents so when everyone took 1 it would've triggered 3 times not only once.
when you tutored for the rakdos charm, didn't you have enough treasures to cast it and pay the one so no life could be gained. You would have been able to at least take the one guy out he had 8 creatures and 7 life
Whats the name of the app you use for tracking life totals? It looks so clean.
Moxtopper
Nice new intro!
Zimone quandrix prodigy........my girl
6:54 kick this in to high gear on 2 joe?? So fast lol
You gotta snap keep those hands! 🤣
Are you planning on titling every video you release as NEW? Feels implicit.
You’re right! Just changed that, thank you for that note!
The representation… thank you
love this channel man but just one thing: if you could up the quality of the over-hanging camera (and/or put the played card on screen for a sec) so we can easily recognize the cards I think your vids would get more less-experienced folks watching
I think that was the downside of shooting outdoors but the feel of it was to have the authentic cookout vibe! I think in general we play higher powered games so less experienced players probably wouldn’t be able to follow anyway. There are definitely channels that really break it down out there though! There’s great content for everyone to enjoy on every level of play! We are just here for the vibes and to show us having a good time 😎 thanks for watching!
@@TabletopJocks I could follow the lines. Just by listening in on the conversation. Just like when you play commander with someone.
I specced on that descent card. It already spiked to like 5 bucks then went down. It really changes the game. I bet you had some life gain in there to take advantage of it.
at 35.10 joe you pinged everyone for 1 ob will trigger 3 times! also the guy sitting next to you joe didnt go get his savanna he cracked wooded foothills for. great video though!
Ob says one or more. I think I only get the one trigger when it happens at the same time. I may be wrong though but I’ll ask the homies!
@@TabletopJocks yeah I would double check.
@@cojotvlive4870 so the card says “one or more” so it would only trigger once if I hit everyone for one in the same turn
@@TabletopJocks ahh okay. Sorry I was wrong! But thanks for the content and the response!
Great game everyone it is always fun to see the cookout episodes. I just have a quick question, because I have not seen this situation before. Wouldn't Indy2Raw have lost the Orc Army token once Joe lost, since he created it?
Thanks so much for watching! You know I thought about that too. I feel like since it was a token that I created and not a part of my deck permanents then it wouldn’t go away but I could be wrong. I have a buddy who’s a judge I’ll shoot this scenario his way!
@@TabletopJocks I would love to know the answer of you get one. Thanks in advance Joe. Also, if you don't mind me asking will there be any more ttrpg games from the Jocks?
@@obicortes8199 of course no worries at all! Right now TTRPGs are on hold but I’m always down if the timing is right! I want to introduce some more content as well, maybe video games soon!
@@obicortes8199 here’s the answer from my judge friend Kenneth:

@@TabletopJocks thank you, so it seems like the token would have gone away, but that's fine. It was still a great game.
For friends playing group way 2 cards would be banned fast from my deck would deathrender n it that betrays
What app are they using?
Moxtopper
That bowmaster should be triggering and dealing infect damage
Fun game!
Hellooo there!
Heyooooo! 🥳🥳🥳
“Why? It’s cute” Is going to be my new self defense mechanism
RAKDOS GANG GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!!!!
I also can't get enough of Indy2Raw. She is fantastic.
@@uselessnolagemtg let’s go!!!! The whole Raw Magic Group are a vibe! Love having them on! 🙌🏾
@@TabletopJocks oh, you know I'm fully aware of these facts!!!! 😁
Kind of confuswd how the corrupted Conscience didnt fall off since it was on a creature that Joe owned and when he died that creature would leave the game i thought, still fairly new to magic so maybe just misunderstanding of rules
Yeah we are actually talking about that now in the comments haha! I think though because it wasn’t a permanent from my deck and a token then it sticks around. Gonna ask a judge buddy on that! I’ll have more info soon!
Ok here’s the answer:
800.4a When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the game and any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end. Then, if that player controlled any objects on the stack not represented by cards, those objects cease to exist. She should of taken the bow master it deals the damage and she's given it infect, if I know my rules the pings would of been in the form of infect.
Mox sol ring anyone?
Power drgn gained life after "players couldn't gain life" oops lol he died before Infect lol
He was putting the life gain triggers on the stack. When I activated the enchantment he had a window of opportunity to respond to the trigger with his ooze triggers. The added 5 a few minutes later was because he just forgot to input the life he had gained from the other triggers. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!!! 🥳
@@TabletopJocks ahhh perfect, I thought this was after, I was watching but also "at work" so I must have missed a step :) good call
@@stormtrooperjeepjk no worries at all! We don’t catch everything because we are hanging out with the homies so it’s all good to call it out when you see it! Appreciate the love 🙌🏾
