Cascade is a MAY cast effect. Void Mirror could counter it if they were to choose to cast the cascaded spell. They don't have to so then the exiled cards including the spell cascade hit would go to the bottom.

Technically all his cascades should be countered by void mirror, but he should still have to go through the action and then choose not to cast any..

@@ButterInEveryOrifice yeah. I play Maelstrom as probably my strongest deck. Wording is "you may cast it without paying the mana cost"

This has quickly become my favorite Commander show. It’s perfect. Everyone is having a great time, it’s social, but still has the power level. Amazing guests and loved the decks everyone brought to the table! Awesome show!!!!

As a Gishath player, you have to realize you’re going to get taken out first. Otherwise it just becomes overpowering way too fast. I have a solid 8-9 level one and can’t wait for Dino’s in the next Ixilan

Yeah 100%. I love my Gishath deck but it gets real disgusting real fast if you let him get going. That's when you just have to convince the table that you're not the threat :)
That missed cascade of the sliver for the fail to find would have been hit with a “damn that sucks you should remember next time homie” before he went to resolved a missed trigger as I continued my turn

11:49 Just realized he missed the cascade on the first sliver itself but did the trigger for the next sliver. Also I just spotted Void Mirror was out in play and no one called the first strike sliver would have been countered since it was cast with no colored mana was spent to cast it.
17:00 Sliver guy misses cascade trigger for his Lose Life Sliver.
I was watching this from my bed and had to get up and look down at the comment section when I noticed it too....all them Slivers should have either been countered or not casted at all the void mirror really was the perfect play before that happened unfortunately nobody caught it at the time.
How many Dinosaurs are in that list, if y'all don't mind me asking. Mine has 27 atm
EDIT: I'd also add more protection spells for your big board and play the deck quietly as you ramp, let the other players look scary until you ARE scary. Hope this helps!

@@damnjekyll yea there 🤣 etali, tarrasque, ghalta, zacama, apex altisaur, burning suns avatar, goring, polyraptor. Quartzwood crasher, rampaging brontadon all good options

All those are in the list, you didn't even mention half though 🤣 I'll tell you now, I've been through em all and I'd rather have cards that do things instead of few extra mediocre 4/4 trample creatures. Plus 7 commander damage is never a brick, thats one person a third outta the game. Just food for thought. 27 total creatures, all Dinos, works fine for me personally. Those 13 slots for more protection, board wipes and interaction are invaluable. :D

he missed a cascade trigger from initially casting the first fliver. it cascades off itself because sliver.
gnawbones gives you a treasure for each point of combat damage your opponents take from all your creatures, so even if he doesnt swing but you hit someone for 10 with other dragons, you still make 10 treasures.

Yeah, it was sad to see his first play. Cast his commander, then miss that cascade, which could have been a real good sliver... Then cascade only for his next Sliver cast and then miss his next cascade ( at least a shuffle ). Next turn. Also, he should run Ancestral Recal for those 0 drops...

Cascade counts a cast and with void mirror just counters every single one of those casts.
That must be why he didn't trigger the Cascade on the First Sliver. ;p
