Anna I don't Know if you see this comment or not , but I want to say thank you for your helping tips. More than six months ago, I asked you (from a different account ) how to improve my speaking skills and you recommended the shadowing technique, so I started using it for one hour a day , every day. Now, I can speak about anything without any fear and my pronunciation is a almost like natives. Thanks a lot.
@@deibygomez Of course, I chose a TV series. Every day I pick a one-minute-scene out of the series, write it down, understand it then try to imitate the actors. Also, if I can take the same pattern (The same sentence) and change the words to suit my liking, I do so. I don’t memorize anything, I just practice.
I'm impressed by this technique because I started doing these stretching exercises a few week ago. It was from my own decission. I haven't heard about it. I have curved mouth during speech and I started with exaggerating. In English and in my native language, too. I have the same problem. I mumble during speech. This helps me because when you exaggerate you train your muscles, too. I keep to one rule. If you exaggerate when you are alone, you will speak normaly among others. If you speak normaly to yourself, you will sound wierd to others. So, it's important to be a little bit crazy when you are alone.
Amazing what you are teaching. I have never seen an English teacher teach or comment on this. I will practice these exercises. Thank you so much for this video!
Thanks pretty good from your guide english has become better l am also going to find every steps to learn when you have these things it also help to understand how is use visibility you are given plenty knowledge good thanks you more .
Hi Anna I've enjoyed watching this video, nonetheless I've seen it before But i can say .it was funny video Thank you so much my dear 1st English couch 🤗🤗
I think the biggest problem for us, non-native speakers, is in fact that the American speakers start producing voice deeper in their throat, while the rest of us is focused mainly on the position of the lips, tongue, and jaw. Some sounds in Arabic require the work of the throat, and another example is the Russian ы, the sound I just can't grasp, even though my native language is another Slavic language - Serbian. The problem in the American accent is more subtle, but it requires a major focus on the throat as well. I think this is the biggest problem for non-native speakers while trying to master the American accent.
From my experience whenever i speak English the deeper voice automatically just comes into play so i don't think you have to worry too much as it almost seems naturally
You are a very clearly speaking, especially beautiful girl and a good teacher. I think I will try to learn a little in Your class. P.S. You chose very nice music for your mouth muscles exercises. Excuse me, may I say that the exercises look for me a little funny but I believe You, they are necessary.
I came across to you a one day and it's gorgeous cause you're super a perfect teacher in tricks of English. Thank you that you did't afraid look a little silly in this video cause doing the same things with it's so cute and funny)))
I'm totally following your exercise unconsciously, like you have magic to trigger my mouth, so funny ~ and I found this really helps me to have a fluent speeking after do that. Thanks~
Don´t take me wrong Anna but I don´t feel stress or tiredness in the mouth or jaw when I speak English. The reason is that in Spanish, we don´t have to articulate that much. But costarricans are famous for stressing certain syllables and consonants. But anyway the exercises are good for relaxing after a presentation and message taken. As always, Thank you very much.
*I understand you don't feel tired when you speak in a language that isn't your native language but this doesn't mean all people like you a lot of people when they speak another language they felt so pain and tiredness around their mouth*
What you say is absolutely true. We are both on the same page. Whenever I read English articles on the magazine or journals out loud, I feel the same pain on my face. It hurts me very badly. My face muscles hurt me and I can't stand it. Do you think all non native English speakers develop this pain when they speak or read out loud or only few ones? Did you go to face therapist? If yes, what was his conclusions? Some English teacher told me if your muscles hurt while you speak or read out loud, it is because of mental illness or issues, he said. I was surprised to hear that. I will ask him more when I happen to encounter him on RUclips. I see now that I am not alone who experiences face muscles pain and I see what it feels when your muscles hurt. Relax your face muscles and make more videos on casual American English which Americans use everyday. That is it! Have a good day! .
