Too many of our mothers, friends and sisters have gone through these types of horrible assault stories. Glad your moms feels strong enough to say something and is bringing awareness
Great interview. 👏🏼 Definitely hope there will be part 2. Part 1 really shows how trauma impacts peoples lives. When you can overcome all that & still be positive & kind it’s a rare miracle. The vulnerability will help others. ❤️❤️
I have so much respect for Mama Lawson. I aspire to be this positive. I love that she's from the ol skool. I miss that. Hugs to her. Also my grandmother is 80 something and can't cook either.
So many levels of ahhh, shock, and ah-mazement. Wow. Grateful for you both sharing such intimate moments and letting us get to know you more. So many can relate and will be inspired by these interviews. For her to create a family that brings so much joy to the world, in a younger life that devoid her of it, is truly a miracle. You and Justin were meant to bring her joy in this life because she needed it. There's soooo much humility and matter-of-fact where she doesn't seem to understand how great she is! I love your mom so very much. So grateful to you both. - Love Linh
Your mom is an amazing person. Her story is very typical of what was happening in the 70's. I was so glad my family moved from South Carolina when I was young. Philly was a lot easier to deal with because my neighborhood was very mixed.
This interview is so special and I'm grateful Mama Lawson agreed to share her story with all of us. Protecting children is the most important thing any of us can ever do. I don't care who's kids they are- you see or know of bad things happening to children and you step in. I'm really sorry that didn't happen for her. But she has such a wise mind and brave heart that she was able to survive those experiences and turn them into becoming a teacher to advocate for other children. And she was also a great parent to her children in spite of her own childhood experiences. That is incredible. Love to you both ❤
This video made me subscribe. I'm sorry Momma Lawson had to go through that. I'm glad she's strong and willing to share; not to mention, she's hilarious. This was a great conversation.
I have been watching you for awhile, I am a single mom of 3 and a special needs son. You guys are so awesome, you bring so much and are blessed with so much. You guys would be awesome to meet. Because your maternal really keeps my spirits up. But this is an awesome interview.
This is beautiful and so moving! Every child needs to interview their parents. How much more they would understand about them and healing could possibly occur.
Gosh, you two speak absolutely the same! My daughter and I are the same way. So sorry for the awful things that happened to Mama Lawson. So many of us share similar stories. Sad.
What an amazing, inspiring Mom you have. You take after your Mom by the way. Thankyou for doing this interview to help leave her legacy and inspire others like me.
Wow can’t believe how strong your mom is, she been through so much and she still have a smile on her face. Respect ❤
