You have an incredible knack, for showing up the so-called metal detector experts, and their artificial tests. You're able to demonstrate to all of us, how well these metal detectors will work under real conditions, that we will encounter on our hunts. Jeremy, you should write a book on metal detecting, I predict it would be a best seller! 👍
Great example mate 👍 I'm a true believer that the real test for any machine is on your own ground. If you can get your machine to hit targets in the ground you are hunting, then you are onto a win 👌👍 Thanks for sharing
Great test buddy , this really shows that air test doesn’t show anything , real hunts it’s what counts so thanks for this video , hopefully other RUclipsrs watch this video and stop doing bench test and go on real hunts like you
Great reality test in your soil. You really proved that air tests don't say much about the real capabilities of a detector. You have really difficult ground. Thank you Jeremy....
I'm glad I watched this video! I have the nox 600 and so many plugs I dig if I didn't get the target out I cannot hear it. I just start slanting the coil and digging the hole out till I get it. But at least now I know that is because of the conditions of my soil and not anything I need to try and adjust by pushing buttons on my detector.
Hi Jeremy, I started with Garrett EuroAce350, then I switched to Simplex and it gave me so much satisfaction that I was undecided whether to buy another metal. Eventually seen the seriousness of nokta hi bought the Legend. It took me a while to get used to the new tones and set them well for my ear, but now I'm really happy with them, especially since once I have fine-tuned my search mode, I hardly need to change the settings. , even if I change ground. Anyway that aside, I wanted to compliment your videos, and your approach to testing machines, which is really great, unbiased, realistic and very very explanatory. I only follow your videos to get ideas and information for research with my Legend. Greetings from Italy.
they need to make it so you can notch the frequancy so you can be in multi but you can select the multies than you want to hunt in soi rathert han all or nothing let you select 5kh 15kz and 40khz and it will only multi in those rather than stuck with them all on or just one of them i think that would be a great upgrade for the software
Wow, you’ve got terrible soil. I’ve got the Deus II and it just smash’s coins up to eight inches. I’ve got a couple buried at ten inches and it picks them up no problem using the Deep HC program. I guess I’m lucky I live in the U.P. of Michigan. The downside of living in the U.P. is there’s snow on the ground from November until April.
Hi Jeremy, great video. Do you think it would be possible to rip out the anfibio and do this same test in GEN mode? When I'm faced with silence at a location, much like this; I either use a test coin from my pocket like you did, or I slap my Kruzer into GEN mode which is like pinpoint mode, but with VDI. If I cant' hit the test coin I know to make adjustments or if I hit solid targets in GEN mode I'll make adjustments. I really with the Legend had a GEN mode option. IT's killer in deep sand at the beach or water, or in fairly clean soil with deep silvers etc. I love it.
Good to see your still at it, thanks for your Vid and much love from the Netherlands 😄🙌❤️🙌😄... just curious... are you also wanting the v0.5/0.5.1 back 😅
I'm curious how the legend would perform with the 6" coil in 15 khz recovery speed 10 ,full gain. The large coils never perform well in really trashy ground.
I hold the Deus ii and the Legend, both with 11 inch coils, and the Deus felt top heavy, the legend felt better for me also because of the straight stick (better force transmission than the s-bend stick of the Deus). But maybe I had to shorten the Deus stick - after all this is the advantage of the s-bend, you can shorten it without worrying it will come too close to your feet.
Jeremy, will the legend with the 6” hit better? Seems if it sees less ground it would be better, supported by the fact when we see you and the legend, it has the 6” coil?, thanks
great example I kinda wish you showed what it took to actually dial them machines in on that 4'' coin you had. I guess my fear is that I won't be able to find the right program when im out on my fields where I am, I still have so much to learn
I suspect the Nox in field 2 with low iron volume would get that coin with the small Coiltek elliptical. All my tests show the Nox to be the best in those conditions. My garden is a trash area full of iron, rust and foil but the Nox pulls real artefacts out. But the trash is crazy. I curse those builders for burying all their pie cases and milk bottle tops along with every kind of iron nail and rusty trash. But we are in the iron and aluminium age and it proves the site has been inhabited. I have found over 80 coins, two 400 year old Jettons, a silver ring, watch winder, silver jewellery parts, a 200 year old lead musketeer soldier and a Victorian lead horse (two days ago) musket balls, weights and tiny horse shoes and more. There be treasure there but the amount of iron and other trash is massive. But I am cleaning the soil of rust. I use a searcher magnet on the iron. I do it when I feel the need to chill. But digging is easier in the spring or after a lot of rain. We have a drought here in the southern parts of the UK. The ground is like concrete👍👍👍
Yesterday i was hunting at a site that sounded just like your backyard. It was driving me and the deus nuts... Walking in hot program, 17khz, full tones and pulltabs where coming in with low, mid and high tones, really confusing. I'm still getting used to the deus so i'm probably doing something wrong.
My beach conditions change daily! My settings do too! I have had sand at 60! And sand at 89.one day quiet one day a 5 year old throwing a fit! One day 30 targets next day3. Right now I can put my hand on top of telephone poles where in the winter they tower over me! Try something new every day ! Keeps things interesting!
Paystreak the VO 7.1 update is a lot better I was in a very high iron place yesterday civil war relic hunting and was digging bullets around 8 to 10 inches I was using calabashs iron setting in fast for iron sites with With the pitch tone using Square on the Deus2 and I was picking out bullets out of all the iron
Iron reacts different in the ground it's rusted and it has leached in to the soil so yes air test on a board is not going to be right the same thing with coins the longer that they in the ground the more likely the metal detector will hit on them
People think that there metal detectors are doing the same thing on targets in the as it is on targets in the air it's just not true the targets in the ground have a Halo around them it makes it better for finding coins but with the nails it also makes it better for the metal detector to hit on them to I absolutely agree with you paystreak because you don't have a Halo around a coin or a rusty nail in the air there's a big difference
As crazy as it may sound. For some reason I almost bet a tesoro would find the coin in that iron infested soil. I really haven't found a detector that nock out iron like the tesoro units. Sad they closed there doors.
If an air test identifies something, it’s not going to get better with the addition of dirt. You just proved it. What if that coin was buried 3”, 2”, or just where a machine could see it? At the point where the machine can see the target, does a problem identified by an air test magically disappear, stay the same, or is it compounded? Air tests aren’t infallible, but neither are they completely useless as many suggest.
In other words, your yard may be full of silver coins and wheats/injuns at 7”, but you just can’t detect them....if you have a PI machine, dig away in your yard and strip mine all targets!
Pi or not, this is why vetrans will tell you if you're on a heavy iron site, you need to clean it out. There's just no way around it while still knowing if you've actually cleaned it out.
The labs and benches the engineers have are extensive. All these tests you see on youtube....the engineers performed these tests long before release of product.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak the engineer’s lab and bench tests aren’t an end all, be all. it’s also the end user’s findings, some who air test, that are included as part of a manufacturer’s software updates. Don’t forget, beta version updates are sent to many knowledgeable end users, air testers included.
I guess you didn't watch the video huh? You see............you CAN make adjustments to hit the target with both machines. The problem is............in the field how do you know which adjustments to make when you're faced with a wall of silence? You'll most likely conclude there's nothing there and walk away. The best thing to do, which I suggest a lot of people do is carry a penny or something in your pocket. If you're getting nothing at a location.....bury that penny and test. It's saved my arse more than few times because then I had a baseline to make adjustments. Without that it's just a guessing game.

That is exactly what I was saying a year ago before these machines were released. We need to be able to notch frequencies.
Agree too

hello, is it better the nokta makro legend or the dues 2?
Interesting test. I wonder if adjusting the recovery speed on the Legend would make a difference.
No. My mineralized soil needs high recovery speeds on all my detectors.
I’m sorry every time I think about you and calabash uniting …. I instantly think about them SpongeBob characters mermaid Man and Barnacle boy 😂😂😂
The Legend has nothing on the the Deus 1 or 2 in iron. Not a huge fan of the Legend. Very good video sir.

The same often happens on dry land when it's dry or wet. This is why asking people for their settings is not always a good idea.

@@PaystreakSuperfreak x-terra 705, equinox 800. Modo prospecção.
Tesoro use concentric coils probably why they are miles better in iron
Fe.3 ıf1 very good recovly speed 5
