I love how the bison come when you call them. I've been fascinated with them since I was in elementary school, and I will be turning 70 this fall. What you are doing for them is so important to our country. Watching you all with them brings me so much joy! Being housebound and recliner/bedbound for the past 10 years because of my ME/CFS, and more, makes me feel trapped in my body and in a small area of our home. Your videos give me such a blessed, much needed escapes. The same goes for Daniel and DeJay, and the Eddy family. I feel so blessed to be following all three families! You all give me such a blessed boost to my moral. God bless you all. With love and prayers for you all, Donna Gulyas in Spring Hill, Florida. 🙏🙏🙏

It's amazing how your herd has grown over the years. I believe I've been watching since the beginning. I remember watching videos of the cabin purchase and remodel. Time flies the older you get. It's flying by for me! I even remember when Brooks was born and how much I thought she looks so much like your sister. She still does! She is growing up so fast!
I think that is the most bison I have ever seen on a video here. Can you even imagine what it must have been back in the 1800's, when there were MILLIONS roaming the prairies?? Hard to even picture that!! YOU are keeping some history alive Dusty. Good on ya mate!! Blessings on you and yours Dusty. Thanks for all your great videos and informative teachings.
Seeing your herd is just amazing. I'm from South Dakota, and I know we have quite a few in the state. But it's great to see you growing your herd. I can't even imagine what the land was like back in history when there were thousands upon thousands of these animals across the land. To think us humans almost made them extinct. What a shame that would have been. Congratulations on your growing herd, Dusty.
The bison sculptures found in the Le Tuc d’Audoubert cave in Ariège, France, are extraordinary examples of prehistoric art, estimated to be around 14,000 years old. Dating back to the Upper Paleolithic period, specifically the Magdalenian culture, these sculptures depict two bison and are remarkable for their detail and realism. Discovered in 1912 by the three teenage sons of the French count Henri Begouën, the sculptures have been well-preserved due to the cave’s stable environment. Crafted in high relief from clay, the bison showcase the skill and artistic ability of prehistoric humans. The artists used their hands, fingernails, and simple tools to shape the clay, creating lifelike textures and details such as fur and muscle structure.
Dusty, PLEASE MOVE ALL THE CALVES AND THEIR MOMS UP BY THE HOUSE, AWAY FROM THE WATER SO NOTHING HAPPENS. ITS STILL TOO EARLY TO KNOW JUST WHERE THE HURRICANE WILL BE GOING, BUT THEY WILL HAVE TORNADOES. THE CALVES NEED TO BE CLOSE TO THE HOUSE, SO THE WINDS CANT PICK THEM UP AND HURT THEM. REMEMBER DANIEL AND DEEJAY LOST A BABY JACK FROM THE TORNADO THAT HIT SULPHUR. THE BABY JACK WAS ABOUT 2 WEEKS OLD.
Don't know if anyone ever said, but when you type all caps, it means you are yelling/screaming your message. That's ok if that's what 'ya wanna' do, just thought I'd let you know💕
Hi Dusty Marisa & Brooks good morning hope you had a wonderful 4th July, from a cold winters day in Western Australia 🇦🇺 🦘The Herd is looking wonderful just amazing how they come when you call. How is Dunbar & Eleanor🦬 It’s good to see how the yearlings learn to follow you so quickly I was trying to imagine how the baby turkey hatchlings would all fit in container until you came to move them out I guess they don’t all hatch at the same time looking forward to your next post🇦🇺😁🦘
Makes me happy to see all y'all thriving at CTB and the OG ranch. I am thinking about your mom and neighbors and everyone else recovering from weather damages and insurance company phone calls. Well done.
So happy 18 babies!! All look healthy! Bison are bred to move around, it’s in their genes. Tatonkas have been migrating for years. Native Americans knew the time of the year they would be on the move. The tribes would pack up to find them, then the hunt was on its way. Am so glad the movies show this history of those times.. but even so, I did not like forcing them off a Clift in order to get their hides .. so much lost for survival. Little did the pioneers realize. Love to see th babies playing together.
I wonder if ya ever consider putting in one or a few of those huge cattle brushes to help them get rid of the burrs & weeds stuck in their coat? I think that would be a good thing & fun to watch them use it!
Dusty, have you heard about the white bison calf from Yellowstone? There tons of pictures. But the rangers haven't seen it yet. I doubt mama would have allowed anyone near it to take it. Just wondering
Hi Dusty, Marissa and Brooks. Great video. Yall have grown so much since yall started with Dunbar. Love watching the bison they are magnificent. Can tell how much yall love what yall are doing to preserve the bison. God bless and love yall ❤❤
Those red dogs are (& they all are) adorable! After learning to stand & learning to nurse (both instinctively), I’ll bet they learn to run with pack w/out being trampled! See a lot of vids where there appears to to be lots of close calls!
Dusty do you have to put salt blocks out for Bison. I just have to tell you and Marissa how proud I am of you too and your family, for the hard work that yall have put in and your Dream of help bringing more of these beautiful animals back to us. Being part Cherokee it does my heart good. Thank you
He shows the mineral troughs he has out and refills constantly in his streams. We se them dragged repositioned, filled the bags of minerals on the back of the vehicle.
I hope you and yours had a wonderful and bless 4th of July! I love watching all your videos of bison, horses, family and all the ofter critters. Hope y'all have a bless evening.
Love and enjoy watching your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the bison and other animals Dusty Happy Fourth to you and your family
DUSTY, congratulations on your new baby turkeys. Hope you have a large amount of hatching from your eggs. Hope your family had a wonderful 4th of July also. David B.,Utah. 🇺🇸🇺🇸💞💞❤❤❤.
Are all these males young ones, you moved into the 40 acres? Wow! That’s a great picture you snapped of the horses gracing with the bison gracing on the other side of the fence.. wow!
The National Wild Turkey Federation has been doing some research recently in Oklahoma due to some of the declines. They can potentially help with transplant birds which will give better results. See if you can get in contact with the local NWTF club. Unfortunately they haven't given very good results for pen raised and released poultry. They will typically do capture in late winter or very early spring before mating and nesting begins.
Dusty, I don't know if they are endangered in your area, but we are Seriously low on quail in Memphis/ North MS. It would be great if you could brood some and reintroduce them to your fields, if they're native and if you're low on them. Love from Memphis!~
Congratulations on your turkey chicks 🎉 glad your trying to bring them back to your area. I live in Northern Ohio and growing up i remember hearing Bob White quails calling in the summer time. Its been years since i heard one now i was thinking about trying that with them here. Its sad what us humans do to animal populations without thinking about the future. We only think about it when its almost too late.
Turkey babies are good. I was hoping that you and Marissa were going to tell us that you had a baby brother or sister on the way for Brooke.
Turkeys, who cares? I’m disappointed it's not a human baby.
Me, too!
Me three 😂😂😂
Why do my comments keep getting deleted?
@SandyL0uise I don't know. I don't delete them. Sometimes RUclips algorithm deletes them.
Dusty, you are the pied piper of bison.
I really enjoy watching. The fact that you can call them to you is simply amazing!
Shoot. Thought you were going to announce y’all’s baby!
Yes, this is awesome. 😂😂😂

I really enjoy learning about the ecology and conservancy of the grasses.
That was a pretty smooth & uneventful transfer to pastures … perfectly executed!
Looking forward to the new turkeys! 🙏🙌✝️❤️🇨🇦
Dusty it is so warming to see the way the Bison responds to your holler and do your wishes. ❤❤❤
I’m so excited to know how to call them when I get to Yosemite next weekend!❤😂
@@GrammyTammy13I WOULD NOT TRY THAT.
I DON’T THINK 🤔 THATS A GOOD IDEA❗️❗️❗️❗️
But they probably want do more than look at you. Or they may not even look your way.

By 1883 they were almost extinct. That means that to truly see the bison you would have to go back to the late 1700s or very beginning of the 1800s.
Love the way you teach us about the herd. Lovely family and way of life!😘

Not the only thing that was almost extinct, Native Americans.
Good job saying "meadow" instead of "meada"!! LOL
Honestly Dunbar is my favorite but Big Joe is one good looking bison!!
Just wondering about hoss… haven’t heard him mentioned in a while…🤔
My grandson (age 9) is raising 2 chics, just moved them out to their new chicken coop
