Bravo! One of the best renditions of the Canto General since the "classic" ones directed by Mikis himself. The soloists are generally good, but the real gem are the choir (which is amazing!), the wonderful percussion players, and of course, the conductor -- who drives this performance, τού δίνει "νεύρο". Congratulations to all!
I was lucky to see the „Canto General“ a several times and was surprised to find this video today. The choir and the conductor did the best job. Of course also the solists are excellent. All in all a fantastic concert and I’m in tears right now. I totally agree with your comment, ctpcmh. Me agapi apo to Kanafa.

Regularly i heard the vetsion of mikis, pandis and farantouri, … it was a marvelous feeling to find this one… they are great, and the fact that they promoting important pieces of work by artist that have been compromised with the history of resistance to the self determination of the people everywhere, is the mayor point today and always be….Viva la union por LIBERTAD
Beautiful that this work is kept alive. Though I would like, some day, to hear a performance with native Spanish-speaking singers. Some pronunciations sound like nails in a chalkboard.
This is, indeed, a marvelous performance. The conductor is great and really seems to be enjoying the performance himself. The chorus is wonderful and the soloists are too. I love Maria Farantouri, and Ariel Ramirez does a very fine job. My only objection is the almost 17 minutes that were cut out. Can anyone tell me if the dancer did her own choreography?

Yes the dancer, Sophy Ribrault, did her own choreography.
Shame the America insurecta was not sang in full... I feel a part is missing. (after 1:23)
