Presented as part of the 39th Greek Festival of Sydney, in partnership with City Recital Hall on Friday 14 May 2021.

Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, this concert presents songs of struggle, liberation and empowerment by Vassilis Tsitsanis, Manos Hatzidakis, Stavros Xarchakos and Mikis Theodorakis, featuring international artist Dimitris Basis, a Greek band, and a symphony orchestra and choir, directed by George Ellis.

We couldn’t travel to Greece this year but Greece came to us to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Greek revolution for Independence. We had the pleasure of seeing Dimitri Basis in Sydney, Hunter valley and the best Greek festival in Darwin!
