I really appreciate you showing how you and Ed are friends now. I am going through a breakup with a long term partner and we plan on staying friends as well. I think the model for breakups is often so negative and hostile. So, it’s refreshing to see someone else doing it differently. Anyway, thank you for being open and sincere in your videos ❤

I love seeing all your graphic novel hauls! It’s fun seeing the kind of art you’re drawn to. I used to read comics a lot (but never really graphic novels) and when I first started out I chose comics based on stories/shows I enjoyed and very quickly realized I love the artwork just as much as the stories! I have 100% been known to choose comics based purely on the art style🙃 It’s wonderful seeing all the different art there is out there! I currently don’t read them as much so it’s nice seeing what you get for yourself. And I’m actually working on “shopping my own library” when it comes to books because, like you, I already have so many I want to read! I won’t let myself buy any more for now. So! I love your book hauls too. Basically, what I’m saying is I live vicariously through you lol, so I say keep it up!😆
P.S.-That jacket is totally 80s work wear (think Golden Girls), shoulder pads and all. Love it!

I've been looking for graphic novel recommendations recently, so thrilled to see what you hauled and hope that you find some new favourites among them. Admittedly, I was rather enthusiastic when I saw that you picked up Joann Sfar - I have been a fan of his work for a while and always happy when more folk explore his work. I first discovered his graphic novel, The Rabbi's Cat, and recommend that should you like The Little Vampire.

If you're looking for an easy, not too technical sci-fi book to try, I'd recommend the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers. Queer/non cishet characters, the world she creates isn't too complex by typical sci-fi standards and the stories are pretty engaging.

That Allende is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read, and it's crazy because it heavily features a character who is just a completely unlikeable monster. I don't know if you are familiar with the artist Emma Rios,but ifyouhaven't I highly recommend her series Mirror and the series Pretty Deadly. Her illustration is incredible. On Pretty Deadly she collaborates with writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and what they have made is just perfection. Unreal.
I love The House of Spirits. Love the movie as well.
