Glad to see someone thinks about having a real shower in their Van, most people do not build one in and it is something a never understand because it is so important when you live in a Van full time. I live in a VW California Beach full time and it is "the thing" I miss most! Excellent job guys...
i like to like videos to show support when i see they dont have a shower i just move on to the next one , living in a van aint no excuse to be dirty, you dont need a huge bed invest in a shower
@@unholyascension3421 it also depends on what they plan to do. Most people that are staying in one place or mostly urban areas use gyms for activity and showers(planet fitness is everywhere), people that are mostly basicly camping in parks and campgrounds already have access and those that will only need them when in middle of nowhere have external or solar showers. Only people that are actually traveling everywhere need them. Otherwise as nice as they are, they take valuable room and do require more upkeep and maintenance to avoid costly problems.
Gonna add to my original comment. Good reason to use sitdown shower and put water tank on top is because you can add a hole in roof to fill water tank when it rains. Then always use environmentally safe soaps in shower then you can freely dump shower anywhere without harming environment.
I really liked your approach to creating the templet of the curved side wall with the disk and pencil. I've watched numerous videos of van builds and yours appears to be the best solution to trace the irregular Shapes. I'll make note and credit you with the idea once I get there. I'm pleased to see that you are still getting views 2 years later. I enjoyed your production.

Framed that good .I work on these for a living . The big companys use 1x1s.. I get it saves weight So they claim light weight. There is a cost for quality. In this case fuel. Its worth it I think ..

Great video! We're doing similar to a slightly larger vehicle. Actually it's a 12.5 metre Mercedes coach that had 53 seats in it. Your video gave us a lot of ideas. I know a stand in shower and toilet takes room and some people opt for not having them but I think it’s good having a no fuss walk in shower/toilet. Toilet looks like it’s Gona have to be sideways sit for carrying out duties but rather that than search for a toilet or having a nature call. Good job 👍
MrStreetboy Yeah exactly, when we first thought of the van we weren’t going to have a bathroom but we didn’t want to be always looking for one. It’s actually a Thetford swivel toilet. We didn’t include it in the video because the silicone was still drying but we will show it in the next one when we do the shower head. Thanks a lot :)
Not sure I'm following all that, but I had a thought... I realize that the shape of the wagon is a consideration, but I think I might have just used a preformed/all in one, fiberglass shower stall. As far as cost goes, I think they're pretty reasonable. Maybe less work to install too. Just a thought. Congrats on all the DIY work going well.

Just a thought that might work. Shower space spends most of the time empty. How about having a wardrobe unit in there - that slides sideways when you want to use the shower. I'm thinking of the dinette beside the shower so the wardrobe can slide over the seat. Maybe have the portaloo slide under the seat. Interested in builders thoughts.
Nice bathroom , it's strange how some biggish vans the people don't seem to need a toilet , our van is 19ft long & it has a very long bonnet ,but i wouldn't have bought it if it had no bathroom with toilet , no were else to go for a no1 or 2 ..lol looking forward to your next build
You shouød have a pull out toilet (from the wall) and a closed loop shower system (the waste water from the shower goes through multiple filters and gets reheated just a tiny bit. In theory you can shower for an hour if you want without using much water
@Quinn Dang It's filtered thoroughly and also treated by a UV light that kills any bacteria so technically yes, it's sanitary.... just don't pee in the shower!
I think it’s better to put the shower in the back. I’m all for a bigger bathroom. IMO. But I guess if you didn’t need to have access to the cockpit you could do a larger bath in the front. But I haven’t really seen that done yet.

A 110 volt Flux core welder is available on Amazon for about $110 (even less at Harbor Fright) and does a good job on any kind of narrow gauge steel box tube. It is pretty easy to use because you won’t need fasteners. I like the fact that welded tube will add structural integrity. ... You can weld directly to the walls, floor and ceiling of the van. ... Also tube will help you maximize interior space. Cheers!

Taking bath in sitting is more beneficient .If one believe in chastity and hate to expose him/herself should take bath in a sitting way.7.By sitting one use a bucket and mug and can easily wash more comfortably and less exhausting.8.If one has any abration or injuries can save from soap and shampoo etc. 9.By this way one can save water etc.10.Four steel rods of five feet wrapped with a cloth can work as a Blind can use in outskirts in emergency. with best wishes.

Try using a magnet to remove lost screws in the metal framing. It will grab it and you can slide it to a hole you can fish it out of
