Dr. Greger knows his sh😊t!
This also may explain why childbirth on our backs are so horrific. When the squatting beds became available...wow. We are designed with Gravity in mind....that's not a force to wrestle with.
Best Wishes for your family ❤️
I love your sense of humor 😂
Thank you for all the amazing work you share with us Dr. Greger, your channel is a blessing.
Please cover any studies discussing how pesticides affect our microbiome. 🙏🙏🙏
Buena noche doctor, qué bueno seria subtitulos en español en sus videos y podcast. Muchas gracias.
Besides all the incredibly valuable information provided by Dr greger my favourite virtue of his is the sense of humour...." Anus shepherd - how s that for a Resume builder?" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love dates...have they the same effect as prunes?
Elvis died from trying to birth a redwood.
Proud to pull off three a day myself.
Always wondered why I have to lift my legs to completely empty out.
My grandfather called prunes " the moving number".
I hnave always dreamt of a bathroom with the standard bits plus a flat hole in the ground style of squatting toilet and a mens urinal.
That's called the Circle K.
It all happens so fast I don't have time for the thinker. I personally stand and salute tp get the last 16 inches to make it around the corner.
We use thinker position & stool stool 😁
👍👍
I've been standing on public and home seats for years, but that's dangerous for you older people, you might fall down. I stand on the seats and squat, no other way to do it, without a real squat toilet.
Interestingly enough, "Shepherd of the Anus" was the name of a late 70s English punk rock band.
I start in the standing position and work my way to a standing hover squat. Total evacuation. No special equipment required, only more raw plants in my meal.
Tried that and shat all over the bathroom. Evacuation of the building was needed.
Can you help me figure out why i have constipation? I eat 5-7 fruits a day, 7 veggies, ... basically I only eat whole foods. I drink plenty of fluids have a normal bmi and my bp is 110/70. I am a mtb racer and train 6 days a week ( 20 hours a week ) but yet i am only able to go to the bathroom every 3-4 days and have to strain out log sized poops that clog my toilet. I eat 10 prunes a day. I recently cut sugar our of my diet. What am I missing? Love what you do, you have helped me turn around my life around after a near death heart attack ....
More fiber. Psyllium husk. And even more water.
A few tips...
It is not just the amount of fibre but also the type of fibre too.
For example diversity of leafy greens and you may wish to consider fermented food and legumes.
Also psyllium husk, Ground flaxseed and chia seed with plenty of liquid.
How is your sodium level? It may be worth reducing your sodium intake if needed.
Also try supplementing with magnesium can help.
Avoid iron supplements as they are notoriously constipation.
Some medication can cause constipation including painkillers.
The health of your gut microbiome is important, so prebiotics can help along with fermented food.
Food intolerances can cause constipation in some.
Excessive protein can also cause problems too.
Exercise is very useful. Keep active throughout the day with walking, stretching etc.
Herbal teas can help too. Specific herbs can have short and long term digestive health benefits as well as treating constipation
Beans and legumes all day long.
You can get constipated from too much fiber too!! Cut down on fiber for a week, drink more water but not too much, have some coconut water, and see how things come out. Good luck. 👍
@@tnijoo5109 Wow, never heard about this before. Not really sure what i'll eat that doesn't have a lot of fiber in it and healthy. I stopped all things coconut years ago, it contains saturated fat that has the same negative effects of meat.
Penny used to be prone to constipation, now she’s prune.
Uncomfortable? I normally sit with my knees against my chest and it's comfortable for me
I read this comment sitting knees to chest in my computer chair. Thankful I can still do comfortable deep squats in middle age.
Four foods that helped me get regular: Kefir, split peas, lentils and pinto beans.
All legumes (beans and lentils) will help.
My joke is that since going WFPB, when I poop, the angels start singing, rainbows appear, butterflies start to fly around, trumpets sound, and the opening sounds of Beethoven's 6th symphony (The Pastorale) starts playing. The nutritionist I'm working with now knows to ask "rainbows and butterflies?" The answer is almost 100% YES. Just one more reason why I'm so grateful to have learned all this about the WFPB diet!
I initially read the title as "Optimal Ejaculation." Is my mind preoccupied with something?
Comment for the algorithm
Elvis approved 👍 🚽
😁👍
He'd still be around if he knew.
I used Weedborn CBD products and healed without any problems.
My kid bm's so big, they won't flush. wtf?
I find squeezing my thumbs in my fists helps direct the energy where it is needed and things flow better.
Weird
@@Keepskatin Better than birthing a redwood because of constipation.
I've been eating a wfpb diet for 5ish years. I eat plenty of fiber. I don't even drink plant milk or eat tofu (they generally have fiber strained out) I still get constipated
Fermented foods, magnesium glycinate, coffee, ground flax/chia seeds...
Do you drink enough water? Might want to get checked out as that sounds like there might be some bowel disease in the background that you don't know of. Get a colonoscopy.
I had a similar experience. I also eat WFPB, and about 1-2 year ago got some strange gastric symptoms with no obvious cause, including over sensitivity to some spices, and constipation. After one severe episode, got CAT scanned in the ER, and they didn't see anything; the doctor said to drink lots of water.
It was hard to believe that at first, but in fact that's all I needed to do! If I get uncomfortable down there, I drink lots of water, maybe a liter, and that does the trick. Lots of water, even though I don't feel thirsty... Gradually my system seems to be getting back to normal. I just started to try something called "garcinia" from an Asian store..it's similar to tamarind, and it seems to help my system - but that could be a coincidence!
Sometimes too much fiber can cause constipation. Crazy, I know. Coconut water is helpful too.
@@larryc1616 I drink a lot of water. Sometimes to the point that it gives me electrolyte imbalances on blood tests
I want to know how many pounds of toxic waste/poopy is just sitting in meat eaters 24/7 🤣
Proteins are digested normally by the body, broken down into amino acids which are then used to repair and build new tissues in the body. Protein does NOT rot in the gut.
Meat eaters have much better bowel function.
Animal products can stay in their systems up to 72hours. Marinating in disease =P
@@ddpwe5269 😅😅 oh wow. Yeah honestly I started off as a vegetarian at 14 but I still ate a ton of eggs and dairy and I'd think it was cute I'd poop every other day 🤦🏻♀️ I thought I just didn't eat a lot or something. I was young and ignorant and I've changed ofc (been vegan almost 5 years now and I'm 23) but the fact grown ass adults see all these facts and the animals being killed and can't step up and change like I could as a kid.. like why did 14 y/o me have more discipline than a 45 year old
None.
Super poop
Check Dr. Ken Berry's channel instead.
Key takeaway: plant foods clog your GI tract and require special positions and yoga moves to squeeze your poop out.
Agreed.
Pretty sure.. Actually entirely sure.. The studies he refers to aren't studying plant exclusive eaters. :p
@@sammakesitsimple6827 pretty sure... actually entirely sure... you're annoying :p
