Excellent choice man!! Your reaction to that startup was the same I had for my truck this Summer when I drove my truck out of the yard at my local performance shop. I couldn’t stop grinning the whole drive home haha!
Haha… gotta say, you got me hooked on your 6.0 journey. Love these things. Also… I’m sure you already know, but make sure you get boots with the ribs built-in like the stock ones and make sure it’s seated properly on the opposing pipe groove. The other key is to absolutely clean the CAC pipe with a residue-free cleaner before you install the boot. You will know you got it right because the boot should almost adhere itself to the metal pipe. The thing will not come off.
Awesome 10 blade? Sounds amazing.... you can use some hair spray to help hold the tubes on, but this turbo will need high performance tubes, clamps, and boots... Strong work, sounds crazy amazing!!! Very rowdy!!! Best sounding truck in the U.S.A...
Even if you replace all the front end components you will still need dual steering stabilizers. I recommend a kit from pmf and no more worrying about death wobble.
Need a bigger intercooler and a new intake elbow and it’ll stop blowing them off. Also if you just get Mishimoto intercooler boots and it’ll stop it as well.
Yup, I went with a 64/66 kc, and it was great until I got my fifth wheel hooked up and started up a hill not far from the yard. Lol popped the exact same boots. Then the other side of the intercooler out . Kinda sucked because I had just kept putting the clamps on to get it the rest of the way. Ordered new pipes and boots only to find out with the aftermarket airbox and something to do with the way the pipe going from the intercooler to the intake hit so just didn't fit. So decided on the stock ugly ones that I knew fit and just used the boots and new clamps. Funny you guys had a plug and play turbo and mind need modifications to fit. It's a stage 2 kc .. 10 blade. If you dont boost a 6.0 past stock lol but if you do at least stud it. And a gasket kit . Just be safe. You can do it . Its not a difficult job. And worth the bucks .

Cold air intake is a MUST for these trucks to be able to breathe properly. You’ll see a huge difference in just a cold air intake alone
