people compare this anime to baki a lot ... I don't know why , this is order of magnitudes better . in baki , you'd have 20 minutes nonsensical explanation about some bullshit move .
Yeah, baki's fight are fun and spectacular but some moves are too whack to suspend your disbelief and the "whack" explanation or whatever just removes all seriousness in the fight. Kengan is, because there are no invincible blood lineage, always feels brutal and thrilling because you favorite figher might lose, or dead, or crippled for life. The stakes still exist !!!

Each and every one of kengan fighter would still die by gun barrage or car crash, no matter how monstrous they appear to be they are still human, we can still believe every fight can lead to someone's death which makes us care so much about their fight. in kengan, if someone were falling headfirst from some 10m high then getting his organs shuffled and lungs punctured, he will be in a PICKLE; forget losing a fight, it would just kill him.

Nah, they're completely different. Akainu perfectly understands what kind of person he is, he lies, cheats and manipulates his enemies against one another in order to kill all threats to the current world order, as quickly as possible. But everything he does is towards the endgoal of "Absolute Justice", not for his selfsatisfaction. He doesn't care about stuff like that and doesn't enjoy executing these tasks, in his mind it's just something that needs to be done. Akoya, meanwhile, is completely insane, he believes himself to be 100% in the right much like Akainu but unlike Akainu he has no reasoning behind it, he's just fully 100% convinced everything he does must be just thus he can never do any wrong and can freely enjoy killing and torturing people because there is no way the one he's killing/torturing is anything but evil. It's just pure delusion, and rather than doing everything towards the end of reaching what he believes to be justice, he relishes in his delusions and cruelty while believing himself to be right. Talking about justice all the time and being absolutely brutal and underhanded towards everybody around them does make them very similiar tho.
Now that i think about it, if Cosmo ended up lossing against Adam Dudley, i think that it would have been interesting seeing a fight between Akoya against Adam.
Akoya would have won this one, the fight was unpredictable however Akoya was the superior fighter, if he finished the fight quicker than he would have won.

This is the only match in Kengan Ashura that have made me felt like this is real underground fighting anime. Omega is too soft and give out more credits to chokes.
The animation is shot but when do u gey to watch an anime with full on action like this no still frame no shaky cam it feels like a fight and the fact tht it's MMA they gey to show offf various fighting techniques
He could've won if he didn't stop Cosmo Imai from forfeiting but instead he took matters into his own hands and cosmo overpowered him in his fighting style
Implying that Akoya SHOULD have won is cringe. He is not a warrior, he's a psychopath who would've eventually been decimated in Round 3. Also, Cosmo still lost against Ohma, and Ohma wasn't even protected from the plot. Quit being a sore loser with bad taste.
