Not gonna argue about Jack getting nerfed, but I must mention that having him puke out his steroids was very out of the blue.
Sure it was a reference, but it originally happened under circunstances that made it very significant, hence why it never happened again. Here they showed it in a way that makes it look like it's something Jack does as a regular power-up, which is just wrong

So Raian powers up with Removal and Jack powers down with Puke. I’m more of a Kengan fan than Baki but even I thought that was horseshit😂 Thing is too I could see Raian and Jack actually being buddies and great sparring partners over Ohma. These two would absolutely have a great time on a slaughter fest against their enemies.
The biggest crashouts in each anime going all out. This is one of the best fights I’ve ever watched lol🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I really enjoyed the whole movie!!!
The callbacks in this fight were crazy, Jack puking out his steroids and Raian trying putting his hands in Jack’s mouth to tear him in half were so cathartic

Definitely nerfs on both sides. If this was post pickle baki fighting kengan tournament ohma, baki would have won. Mostly cause Ohma wasn't using nico style like he does later on in the franchise. Also note how long he uses that "possessed by a god" state or however it's called. Definitely something that ties more into the first series and not omega. Basically, ashura scaled Ohma would have lost most likely. Both sides had their own nerfs and such, and in the end it's simply made for entertainment anyways. I'm an avid fan of both series, so sue me for stating my opinion XD

Why do people believe this Jack is strong ?, current manga Jack i truly believe is quite strong but if you believe that this Jack is strong enought to defeat Raian, then you probably won´t like what Motobe will do to Jack in the next season.
I love Baki way more than Kengan Ashura but in reality i have to say that Raian is stronger than Jack, if we are talking about Baki Rahen Jack and Kengan Omega Raian i probably have to give the victory to Jack but sadly this Jack has just recover from his fight with Pickle there´s no way he wins againts a Raian that is even stronger tha Ohma

netflix completely forgot that one punch from Jack sent Pickle to the birds with that heavy weight. we stand with jack.
It seems that the Baki characters take place after the Pickle Arc, and the Kengan characters are still in Ashura. No bias or anythting but I would’ve had this a clean sweep if not for the fan enjoyment. Hanayama beating Saw Paing was a really good fight, which I do think Hanayama and his death grip would’ve won. Jack recovering after fighting Pickle, would’ve won due to multiple bite wounds leading to Raian and his defeat. Baki displayed all his techniques or a majority of them, but they weren’t properly effective as that were shown and meant to be. Baki had gone toe to toe with Yujiro, who is the top dog and he put up a good fight, so him being surprised by Ohma and his pressure was a bit weird if not for the fan base. Ohma would directly lose in this instance even when he went into Advance, Baki brought out his demon back which also enhanced himself and he would’ve came out on top if it had continued. The sole reason why they even stopped fighting was because Ohma wasn’t in advance mode anymore, or that’s atleast what it looked like to me. ANYWAYS, it was a good short film from both verses.
I think this not only takes place after Pickle but immediatly before the Father vs Yujiro arc so Baki hasnt yet faced Yujiro, you can see that Pickle still has his tooth intact. So yeah Baki here is not at his peak, also I would have really liked the reaction of Kengan fighters to the Triceratops fist
They are not taken from anywhere. Crossovers work in a "anything is canon" type of scenarios generally, hence why Raian tried to used a Kengan Omega move mid fight.

Jack has his face scar from when pickle bit half his jaw off, and Pickle himself makes an appearance. And Katsumi is missing his arm from when it got torn off from Pickle, which leads to my original statement that probably happened after the pickle and father-son arc.

Is less about deciding who wins through math and more about character interactions and fanservice, hence why Jack lost since his role in Baki is to be a jobber while Raian's role is that of a powerful rival so the interactions are decided on that.

Jack uses his "slim form" (i don't Remember the name) that made him stronger but smaller than before, also in tha final act jack lost because instead of trying to free himself from Raian choke , he kept moving forward for the final bite (that is in line with the character in this part of the story)
Also jack was Declared defeated, but he could have keep fighting
Honestly, considering his developement in Baki Rahen, this match with Raian fits right in with building a base of humility similar to his fights with pickle, that caused a massive jump in his power.
This movie is in all accords a treat for both fanbases.

I'm a Baki fan but some of y'all complaining about Baki being nerfed is cringe lol. The fights are supposed to be entertaining and respect fans of both franchises, not a fanservice where your favorite characters stomps the other.
But that's exactly what happened in the fight, raian seemed overpowering and jack like his toy. Jack may not be the strongest but he's not that weak either

Personally I cared for the entertainment behind the fights, not who's stronger. Wish it had more of them tho, my only "complaint".

Yeah, this is why its hard to make an official VS battle style anime between series. If they keep the power level as it is without equalizer the fight will be boring, and the crowd will also fight each other.

All this talk about baki characters being nerfed, I personally think raian wouldve beaten Jack even if Jack was at his normal strength at this point in the anime, raian is even stronger than ohma and only lost to plot so this is very fitting (not to mention raian only used two kure Clan techniques, removal and the one where he put his hands in jacks mouth which wasn't successful) so imagine if he did use them
