It was even better in manga
I love the fight choreography of this show, and the way their punch portray weight, its something baki is missing
Baki is pure hype and no technique and choreography.
It's shallow and empty,thus it feels lacking.
Meanwhile kengan ashura got both a bit of hype and tons of substance behind, thus it's superior.
That, and they don't glaze yuujiro too.
Baki it's a frame with sound not an actual punch

I started watching Kengan after that announcement and I might even prefer Kengan over Baki at this point. Kengan seems to have an actual plot and it's more grounded too with more realistic moves.

While I think Kengan Ashura is deeply flawed and oftentimes poorly written, this fight had me actually invested because Ohma had been playing emotionally aloof until this point, but when he realized Kazuo's son's life was on the line, he couldn't just pretend like he didn't care.
Niko's parting speech was also emotionally resonant to anyone who has pushed themselves too far only to fail - you're not supposed to follow in other people's footsteps until the end, at some point you'll need to find a way to live a life of self-affirmation and self-expression.
The final IRONBREAKER - REVOLUTION hit was also downright cathartic. The music, the sense of impact, the editing, just... *chef's kiss* mwah.
Poorly written? Every character got his own style and story and specially, wdym, they show cased it better lmao
It's not flawed Netflix just cut tons of content explaining what is what 😅😅
The manga is much better and unfortunately netflix cut so much of the story part that some things are lacking.

He pretty much won cleanly, even without techniques, but forced the referee to prolong the fight so that Ohma could get up for round 2. If he didn't do that, the knockdown inflicted was hard and long enough to secure him a win

@leonbarisic318 Raian was holding back against ohma this entire fight and didn't use any techniques. He even says if he does the fight will end in a second. But I believe they amped the kengan fighters including ohma anyway.

I mean, the user will induce both High Blood Pressure and High Heart BPM when using Advance, so if you can do that, I guess it's real. I don't recommend it though because it can kill you for sure. 😅

For regular actions and movements, I honestly think the current animation slaps. The only times I see an issue with it is during "made up" styles, like Kanoh's formless and the Kuroki vs Setsuna fight where traditional 2D animation for the flurry of strikes would definitely portray it better than 3D did
To that end, I'm not looking forward to the Kuroki vs Kanoh because certain still-images of that fight and the exaggerated movements (like when their attacks are phasing through each other) are probably gonna look ass in this 3d cgi esque style
Ohma vs Cosmo should look smooth though since its textbook just striking vs grappling
this way better than Baki though
