*The more disappointed I got with these games, the less motivated I was to make this, so I’m sorry if you can notice that in the video.*
GTA holds some of my earliest easter egg memories, and so being able to revisit them with a new coat of paint sounded amazing. Although I like some of the changes made in these remasters (environments, weapon wheel, etc), there are so many baffling decisions made here. I could go on and on about this... but I won't.
Anyway, I didn't cover a lot of easter eggs because a lot of them were barely changed from the original. I just focused on what I thought was worth showing. I still hope you enjoy the video, and thanks for watching!

The negatives (in game and irl) really outweigh the positives. Rockstar are really slipping lately, so bizarre how lax they're becoming as a company.

Bit of a fun fact, but in the Claude race he's replaced with a different NPC with voice lines. What makes it even more funny is that they actually DID make a Claude model to be used in game, but it was never used for some reason.

I was so hyped for this remastered trilogy, only to be immeasurably disappointed as soon as I saw gameplay.
RockStar really dropped the ball on this one (Yes, I know the remastered trilogy was outsourced, but still).
same. I saw footage on RUclips the minute it was released and I thought they were fake cuz the game look baaad.
The fact Rockstar even thought it was alright to put out puts the blame on them too.
I wouldn't be shocked if one day we find out that R☆ placed unrealistic deadlines on the developers which resulted in this mess.

@@norman4537 Few hours ago i downloaded the original trilogy from Steam. Original trilogy feels very different from definitive edition. Old memories came back when i played the Vice City.
The first person glitch was in the original game.
Don’t get me wrong, the “definitive” edition has many problems. But saying the first person quad glitch is something new is disingenuous

Yes but apparently they gave his NPC voice lines which defeats the purpose.
The fact that they changed the billboard in GTA 3 to have GTA 5 instead of Miami (Vice City) actually makes sense considering the fact that we're getting the "Expanded & Enhanced" Edition (GTA 5) instead of going back to Vice City (GTA 6). How ironic..
Maybe they didn't want to get people's hopes up.

Despite these versions of the games being objectively worse than the original PS2 versions, this video was superb and very well crafted! Aparently they used an algorithm to enhance all the text in the game. So the typos are errors in the algorithm.
There are signs that are clearly just upscaled but the Meat/Heat sign was created from scratch, which is why I find it so confusing.
Thats make more sense now why everything typed with arial typeface

I give a like not because I like this "remaster" that is more like a skin/mod for "HD graphics" but with problems

I somewhat agree, but they clearly just based his look on Claude's appearance in San Andreas instead of the new model they created. You see Claude's hairline receding on the side of his hair which the new Claude doesn't have. They could have just used the new model but removed the stubble and wrinkles.

The transition GOD did it again
its odd what stuff they DID bother to give some detail to compared to EVERYTHING else.
also i heard what the deal is with the many typos and mess ups, its a bit of automation.
they supposedly had an AI-learned auto-text-updater to deal with all the words in the game as getting ALL of those textures updated
for ALL 3 games in the time frame they had would take a colossal amount of time, so it was automated and it has actually pretty decent results knowing that now. otherwise yeah, we got a good few typos since the machine clearly wasnt sure what some letters were supposed to be.
then there is the doughnut building where the hex nut on the building was changed to a circle.
that one is a bit confusing so far as somebody showed the type of program used to auto smooth out jagged polygon models and posited the theory that they may have just throw just about EVERY round environment model in there to make it looks smoother.
then there is the issue with that theory where somebody pointed that the "auto smoother" could not have been used alone
as the nut still had its flat sides, if the program alone was used then it would look like a little grey doughnut.
meaning some specific effort had to be put into making sure it kept its general shape, while nobody stopped
to think about the original shape of the object not needing to be changed.
in other words the games are kind of a clusterfuck!
