You should have stayed the night. I witnessed a beautiful sunset with a full moon over the horizon and made for some great photos with the river boats and temples. I had some beers later that evening at "Junk House" Bar, very catchy Thai Rock music & very good street vendor snacks like deep fried squid.

Most of visitors who wearing Thai traditional costumes are foreign Asian visitors. And Khai-kra-tha you mentioned as a Thai breakfast , actually it’s Vietnamese influenced dish, it looks like western food cuz getting French influence when Vietnam was colonized by France.
FYI ….. The port you mentioned was not and never was a seaport, the sea never receded to where it is today, it was a river port since time immemorial, ships had to navigate from the mouth of the Chao Phraya River (Bangkok). Do some homework Ken.
