Holy crap its IraqVeteran 8888! Was researching the chase tone secret preamp and came across this! I watch your firearm videos all the time! Loathe the strap, but brother, you can play. Full of humanity and character. Some of the most moving random noodling I've ever heard. Hard to express just how much I adore your playing. Would love to jam with you some day.
Seems to sweeten the sound similar to a compression pedal but leaves the dynamics in place unlike a compression

I would say it makes the strings sound more sensitive to touch. Slightly muted when the pedal is off.

I just received the secret yesterday, how is the golden secret different? Didnt know there was one.
Don't panic I think the one I have is just the older one. As far as I know, they are only cosmetically different. I'm sure a quick call to Chase Tone would clear that up.
I have the Golden one and it is the older version. It has the bright and dark toggle where the new one has, bright, mid & dark toggle.
I cant help think you guys got the primo components, and he had to comprimise a little afterwards in the newest ones🙄
@@evankeal He's using the same parts, the one you have just has the extra toggle position.
@@Kurt9099 Thanks, I ve been using the Dunlop pre for years religously, this will be a nice addition or replacement. That extra mid setting may come in handy.
