Good on you for buying it now! Cars like this aren’t going to be around forever, sadly. The kinda car everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
I placed an order for one in March and it was just built. Widebody 6.4L 6 speed F8 Green T/A. First new car and I feel the same way you do about these cars. When I described the car to my wife's dad, he went out and bought one pre owned. Pretty much identical to yours in white. He hadn't bought a new car in a decade and he is blown away. These cars are incredible and a let you go back in time to the 1970s.

Dodge makes beautiful cars but the interior sucks for these cars to cost as much as they do. That cloth makes it look like a rental car inside
I really like this kind of video, versus a typical car review we see on all of the other channels. This was full of "why I like this car" moments, which makes it personal and interesting. It's all about the story, Grady, which you did well!

I just took delivery of my special order 2022 Scat Pack 1320 Challenger Smoke Show grey after nearly 4 month wait and I attest after 140 miles driven it is a beast and I can't stop smiling every time I'm on throttle. great vid brother

I love my 2021 Smoke Show Widebody Shaker 6 speed. Has the Harman Kardon sound, driver convenience group, carbon black wheels, carbon fiber/suede package, plus package, and performance spoiler. Just dropped it to have the calipers painted and the rear brake disc hubs painted black to match the front. I’m sure you get as many looks as I do….enjoy it.

Good review and narrative Bro! No need to go in depth with every feature as there are a thousand reviews out there in depth....lol. I have been driving Challengers for years now, a year ago I upgraded from the 5.7 Shaker to a 2021 Challenger Scat with the ZF 8 Speed, and narrow body. I dont drive it in winter here in VT, but I can't stop driving it in Muscle Car season....😊

Very nice car, wish you the best of luck with it. The color is sweet, love the non metallic colors of late, though I'm not a fan of matte finishes. I consider yours a cement grey it looks awesome, though Smoke Show is a good name for it 👍🏽

How do you like the Alpine system? Do you wish you had the Harmon Kardon? I love to bump my music and looking at getting a scatpack soon, undecided whether I want to fork up the extra
Great question. From what I found was that the upgrade from base to alpine was a greater percentage in quality better per dollar than the jump from Alpine to Harmon. Of course if I had all the money I would have upgraded but I felt like it was a solid system overall.
I own 09 GT-R :) and thinking about 2021 widebody scat pack - Purple exterior - manual trans. I love how they look when sit on lowering springs and sideskirts extensions with tintent windows.

@@gradyeger313 my wife used to have 2019 GT so it was AWD. We had to get rid of it because we needed to buy an SUV because we have a big dog 😂 our son is 10 and he always talks about the challenger how he misses that car lol but v8 is more fun and i showed him widebody haha 😂 I also like Shelby's 350s and Camaro ZL1s but widebody chaly can't go wrong. With the colors they offer. Has to be manual trans. Don't care if it's a bit slower compare to auto.

Do you still have it/enjoy driving it? I just bought a sublime green RT 5.7 L manual and I love driving it. I think it’s the best fit for me because I need some traction in the winter. I did try the Scat pack. It’s funny that you say the 5.7 came to 43k. The Scat pack price doesn’t make sense now it is about 60 K. I wanted to get in at just under 50 so that’s why I bought the 5.7. It’s crazy how prices have gone up just in two years. 😢
I don't have the challenger anymore. Sadly. However I do not regret a single second with it. Still incredibly grateful I got to own my dream car.
Good review. What are your observations on the clutch and gearbox? Do you find the clutch to be too light, too heavy, or just right. And for the gearbox, do you feel it is a bit clinky or notchy when you shift?
Thank you! I found the clutch and shifter to be quite heavy. It has great feel. Not precise. But very solid which I enjoyed a lot.
@@gradyeger313 Yeah...I think something is going on with my clutch and shifter. My shifter is a bit too clunky, and does not shift smoothly in 1st to 2nd and from neutral to Reverse. My clutch, for some reason, feels a bit light and not firm enough, when pressed in. I own a 2020 Chally Scat Pack Widebody with 1,800 current miles. I don't like taking my car into service, but I am going to make a service appointment for a mechanic to make sure my clutch and gearbox have the right factory specs.

Did you ever consider the 8 speed auto? What made you choose the manual and how smooth is the shifting? 😁
I personally never considered it. I have been a manual guy since the beginning. Of course I have owned cars that do not offer manuals. But if they offer it. I will take it. Specs aren't important. It's about feel. For me.
Being around 6’4 I’ve always worried I’ll be too big for the car. At 6’2 do you feel cluttered for space or pretty comfortable?
I felt quite comfortable in the car. I have a long upper body so I was nervous I wouldn’t fit. But once you get the seat adjustments set up right. You should be good.
I'm 7' and am comfortable.. have had one for a few years
I hope I have time to get one by the beginning of 2023

Beautiful car. I really want a Wide Body stick....But they cant order them for 2023. And markups are insane now.
I have a Super Stock but I cant afford to drive it with the markups. Its going to proabbly be 300k in 2024. I CANNOT justify putting miles on a car like that. Sure, it was pricey MSRP but thats one thing...triple...yeah.
If I got another...then I sell one keep mine and put a million miles on it. But thats not likely. I was hoping to get a stick Scat Pack too...
Hope youre still enjoying the car. They are great cars and the 392 is a great engine. I have a Charger WB and its such a fun easy car to toss around despite its size.
What do you mean they can't order them for 2023? I just ordered one on Friday in Ohio, Widebody Shaker manual at MSRP! They have an allocation of 8 and aren't adding anything to the sticker.
@@user-pr5po9iq7t Manual transmission is red in Dealerconnect, at my local dealerships. Tomorrow Im heading back to see what gives, since there is a glitch in DC with building an order.

The 'configuration preview' at the very top, where it says Challenger RT ScatPack and the Widebody directly underneath it were shaded and underneath it had shaded as being restricted but, we configured it and I actually have the VON now and went to Dodge's website and put in my information and I have 2 green check marks meaning that my order has been accepted.
@@RipRoaringGarage ... And did you check on Dodge's website to see if they actually have an allocation for a wide-body ScatPack?.... Just sent another message also.
@@user-pr5po9iq7t Thats what I want to see Monday with the Sale Manager (hes on vacation this week). They do have 6 Scat Pack allocations, so they should be ok with those. Im still bummed out because they have no cat allocations at all, and they "owe" me an allocation lol. I order a bunch from them, but they didnt anticipate being shorted even though theyre in the top 500. If you got a VIN, you're set. I mean, as set as that can be considering Dodge hasnt made new parts for 23 and late orders may not be fullfilled, even with a VIN
