@@SnowDaulphinnot really. There’s more breakups (end of engagement) than divorces. The very first divorce in the Bachelor franchise took place in 2020. Show premiered in 2002.

I could have predicted this from the beginning. They are a complete mismatch. Biologically, he needs to get into a relationship with someone about 15 years younger. This is enough age difference to make things new and interesting. You would be surprised to see how many men use Viagra, but then don't need it anymore once they get a new younger girlfriend. Just find a compatible woman who is sweet and sharp enough to carry on a conversation for many years. Most men do not remarry someone their own age. He is financially sound and appears in good physical health. But once a woman is post menopausal, she physically ages rapidly. Don't mean to sound cruel here, but that is the reality of life. No amount of hair coloring or make-up will make things even. Gravity takes its toll. Don't hate, just understand.

Alyssa, The Bachelor/rette has had 1500 contestants "looking for lasting love" over the past 21 years. 28 couples who are either married, engaged, or still dating ain't a good track record. 🙄
You can't use the number of contestants as a metric. The show format includes straight men and straight women. So the highest possibly number of successful couples would be equal to the amount of SEASONS not the total number of contestants. When you put it that way, the ratio is a lot higher. If you don't like the show, fine. But you don't have to lie 🤷♀

I think there is more here than what they are saying. What’s wrong with staying married but just living apart and just visit each other when you are able, phone calls, texts, FaceTime etc. There are 52 weekends in a year, numerous long weekends, several weeks of holidays, etc, etc.

People go on bachelor shows for reasons other than love. (fame, excitement, travel, etc.) Producers manipulate contestants, their dates, etc. all for ratings.. Gerry & Theresa weren't together weeks ago..They should not have let producers rush them into marriage so quickly... Once reality set in, they realized they are better off as friends...

On behalf of The View, we would like to thank our viewers, knowing the success of our show depends entirely on the stupidity of it's loyal audience.
When I watched it, I felt like living in different places would be a sticking point for all of his final three women. All of them, Gary included, had kids and grandkids. Grandparents don’t play about their grandbabies!
It is harder for older people to change their habits and ways. First thing you should ask yourself when dating someone out of your locality - are you willing to relocate? If not then stick with dating people in your local area.
Also relocating for marriage is hard. I did it and leaving family, friends, and a place that is familiar is hard. However, I was willing to relocate whenever I got married. When I met my husband we had this conversation before getting engaged. We lived in two different states. We did not commit until we agreed where we would live and raise our family. I had already decided I would leave my job and move to where he was. It was a hard transition but I embraced my new life and we are still married after 20 years.
That final choice shud have never happened, never mind getting married 🤦🏾♀️ UNBELIEVABLE!!!

After they got engaged a woman who had previously dated Gerry said that he was cheap, sort of like insinuating that he was a free loader. After that I knew the marriage was not going to last, so the news did not surprise me.
