- An expose in the Hollywood reporter reveals new details about golden bachelor Gerry Turner. An ex-girlfriend came forward claiming she started dating him a month after his wife of 43 years died. This is in contrast to what Gerry himself portrayed, saying he hadn’t dated in 45 years. Were we all duped by Gerry or was this left out by show producers?

I believe Gerry, ex girlfriend is telling the truth. Gerry, makes everyone thinks he's this upstanding person. He was putting on a facade the whole time he was on the show. When Katie Couric, asked him about the ex girlfriend accusations, he dodged the question. This guy really knows how to manipulate women. Smh.

I always knew that Gerry, was putting on a facade, he was so transparent. He turned out to be a pathological liar, cruel man, dishonest and self absorbed. I guess he's not golden after all.
I totally fell for it until this happened. I’m sorry that I didn’t see it the way you did!
If Gerry, can lie about small things, he's definitely going to lie about big things.
The women were expected and contracted to participate, share their feelings and spill all. The bachelor was expected to. He was allowed to keep his feelings close to his vest. The only thing the women had to go on was the information they were provided about Gerry and to determine all their actions and feelings based on the information Gerry provided them. This minimal information should have at least been the truth.
Maybe Gerry won't affect your life after the final rose....but this man may definitely continue to affect the women who fulfilled their part of the deal by allowing themselves to be vulnerable and openly share their feelings ON THE UNDERSTANDING that the feelings they were developing were based on the man that was being PRESENTED TO THEM. The question is the truthfulness of that presentation. Is that fair? These women are at a vulnerable age. Is there anyone who has the decency to see that this experience could be their last and they will know that they allowed themselves to feel for a false package. At least the package should have been real and these mature, even elderly women deserved decency and respect.

Honestly, he was very cruel, and abusive in the way he ended his relationship with Leslie. It was messed up how he dropped Leslie. The entire show he made sure that Leslie felt secure in her hopes and her dreams of life with him. But then dropping her like a hot potato. He played Leslie for a fool.
He was in a three-year live-in relationship that started a month after his late wife passed away. Wonder why he doesn't believe in grieving more than a few weeks especially for his late wife of over 40 years?
The lady spoke her truth and it did not sound like Mr. Golden Bachelor was a wonderful gentleman.
But after learning the truth about how cruel he can be towards a person he is in a relationship with I’m glad that he didn’t choose Faith who I was pulling for and Leslie.
Theresa should make sure she keeps a very watchful eye on her weight. Which makes no sense because his late wife carried a pretty hefty amount of weight on her body. He never told Theresa that he loved her until the very last date he had with her during the pajama party overnight. And after learning about how big her bank account is. And learning about how she would move anywhere to be with him.
Theresa must stay focus and keep watch on her back, her drink, her food, and her bank account.
I agree. He ate up the I love yous Gerry and wallowed in it. You could see it in his face like oxygen to feed his ego that is huge but he feigns sincerity. I think he is a master manipulator. The casting picked him because he can put on the dog..

I think you guys have been in TV land too long. There is actually such a thing as integrity. No one expects these people to be perfect. But it’s one thing to say you haven’t dated in 45 years, and I actually heard him recently on a video say the most he dated any woman was one or two dates. It’s another thing to say that when you’ve had a three year relationship,part of it where she moved into your house.
Also look what he did to Leslie? No one‘s ever done that. He gave her certainty that he was going to marry her that she was definitely the one. And he doesn’t even know that was wrong. He says he was feeling it. Feeling it? When do you say everything that you feel.
he knew he hadn’t chosen the one yet and yet he wanted her to believe it was her. Also when Katie Couric said you told us that you retired at 55 but you had the following jobs he said I just did that to give back to the community. Give back? Did he do this work for free? Way too many red flags. Sorry but this is a very cynical view You all just gave us.
I noticed Gerry had a silver tongue from the start and he acted alot and was too smooth for a man from his era and when I seen a picture of his wife...she was a bit over weight and so are his daughters so I dont think hes ever had a thin wife......and he was to quick for a man to turn on tears and these are usually well learned control behaviors to make the other person feel good and let down their guards......Gerry should have known by now what he wanted in a wife but he was too smooth and too quick to tell each woman the same thing...he would mention how that person has made him feel things for the first time sinse his wife died and once again these are control behaviors to get control over the other persons thoughts and now everything is coming out exposing the man for the politician that he has taught himself to be and hes an actor too......a convincing one.....

It’s not all on Gerry. Editing plays a big role. We don’t even know this woman. Im sure there’s some truth, but it’s still a scorned ex. People are being too hard and crazy on Gerry. I wasn’t even the biggest fan of him bc of the crying every week, but this attack is over the top.
