That bowl is gorgeous! I love that you can make dozens of bowls and each bowl will have its own unique pattern. Thank you for showing us this skill. Shalom as we get ready for Hanukkah.
@@MrRain-hk4zi I have 6 pieces (different sized bowls) from a blonde wood that my cousin turned. I also have a walnut bowl with a lid that I use for a salt cellar by my stove. You're right about each being like a snowflake, I think that's why I love wood so much.
My hubby & son learned wood turning in a lathe years ago, but haven’t done it since my son moved away from home. Been trying to convince him (hubby) to start making them again & other turnings like candle holders. Thanks for the video
I love using a lathe, my husband had one it looked intriguing, he figured I wouldn't like it. Surprise! I loved it and was soon using it more than he did.
Mr Patrick!! I love it as i picked up a similar lathe 15 years ago and haven't used it yet. Having a manufacturing company with all CNC equipment doing manual machining especially on wood has a way more special appreciation to it. Love the smell of fresh cut wood. Thanks for sharing sir!
Thank you Patrick! 🙂 I'm mesmerized by woodturning. 🤩 My eyes and my heart just dances when finish makes the wood grain pop and come alive. Jeepers! Maybe I have sawdust in my veins! 😄 Blessings! 💜
I'll have to look around and see what I have to make one. Send a product request to raincountryhomestead@gmail.com. I don't think I have bowls listed on there as the price can vary greatly due to the piece of wood and size. Thanks!!
Thank you Patrick, so beautiful! My grandfather had a lathe, he loved all kinds of woodworking from basic kitchen spoons to life like wood ducks.
It's a useful pass time.
I love watching woodworking! It's so fascinating to watch! Thank you for sharing!
☺
Lovely bowl! Thanks for sharing the process with us. ❤
Thanks!
Thanks Patrick! A lathe is something I would love to have. You did a great job explaining bowl making.
Thanks Deb. I got this lathe, a Delta lathe and WH planer at a school surplus auction embarrassingly cheap.
Thank you, Patrick. God bless you and Heidi for sharing your life and intelligence ❤ May you both have long time and God loves you !!!
Appreciate that!
You are so talented. Thank you for another amazing how too.
This has always fascinated me. I inherited a lathe. Can't wait to try it out.
They can be fun and rewarding.
Merry Christmas Heidi, Patrick and family. God bless you all❤🙏🌲🎅❤
🤗
Oh my,it beautiful!
The uglier the piece of wood, the prettier the bowl it makes. One just has to look at the inside ;)
Thanks Heidi and Patrick 😊❤❤
...and thank you for stopping by!

With each piece is like a snow flake- no two are the same.

It can be a productive hobby. I like turning wood and seeing what's inside a gnarly piece of wood and releasing it's inner beauty.

That ole' lathe is lonely! You should spend some time with it 👌
@MrRain-hk4zi absolutely on the list
So interesting!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Patrick & Heidi🎄

My dad had an old ruler like that. I hope my brother has it.
My sister bought that rule years ago for my birthday.
Thank you Patrick! 🙂

🙂
Fascinating. 😊
😃
Wonderful to watch dried wood become a beautiful bowl.
Beautiful
Thank you Linda!
What do you use shaving for?
Gardens, chicken coops, fire starters, and more
...What she said. Can also be used for dog bedding. If you have an inside dog one can make a pillow and stuff it with cedar shavings from a planer.
Have you ever thought about turning offering plates for church.
🤔 no, I haven't thought of it.
👍
🥰
Will you please sell me one?
