When people describe this as an action comedy, or just a silly fun movie, I agree with them but most forget that it also has a heart. It's emotional moments hit very hard and you just hope for the lead charecter to come to terms with his true self who wants to help people. Anyways love your reaction and waiting for more.
I always tell people "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" is a beautiful story told beautifully, while Kung Fu Hustle is a beautiful story told by your drunk uncle.
I've watched almost every reaction I can find on this movie, without having ever watched it myself. I noticed you cut several parts everyone else kept in, but you also included a lot I hadn't seen yet, and for that I thank you.
At the beginning of the movie , it's a ref of a movie "Gang Of New York" 6:07 , it's a ref to his previous movie he made "Shaolin Soccer" when he destroyed the ball. Stepen Chow is hilarious and a really good Producer/Editor/actor , really respected in China. 19:06 , it's a ref to a famous movie "Shining" , the river of blood
LANDLADY was in the James Bond Film, The Man with the Golden gun and she helped 007 against an entire martial arts school, run by the bad guys. She was a teenager
Apart from Shaolin Soccer, there is another movie acted and directed by Stephen Chow as well is "From Beijing with Love". It is one of comedy movie worth to watch. Strongly suggest to watch.
19:06 it's a premonition, he sees that there is death behind that door. like when he entered through the fence, he saw a storm cloud, like a tornado above the Asylum before entering. this is one of my all-time favs! great reaction! 👍
It is easier to understand the door and blood if she knows the reference by watchin The Shining (1980). Since it is just in his head, she should take it as an ominous sign, just like the storm at asylum and the black clouds at the village.
the actors of landlord and landlady studied in the same Peking opera school in Hong Kong with Jackie Chan when they're kids most of their school mates became successful stunt performers, kung fu stars, action movie directors or fight choreographers in Hong Kong /Chinese film industry
Kung Fu Hustle, along with Stephen Chow's (the main character, director and producer of this movie) other comedic films are holiday movies in his native Hong Kong and many parts of China. So that tangent away from Christmas movie you wanted to take went all the way around the world and back to a "Christmas" movie :D
Turbo Kid is a hidden gem, a fun, low budget movie with an 80's retro vibe. It's quirky, some gore, but most of all, it's got a whole lot of heart. I loved it, looking forward to your reaction.
Would love to see your reaction to Shaolin Soccer but also to the short film Kung Fury (which I hope you haven't seen yet) as the pinnacle of ridiculous 80s/Kung Fu parody, and available on RUclips.
Hey, nice reaction..🤣🤣 I just want to ask u something, what is the song that you use in the backsound on the introduction starting at 0:00 ? I am just curious, it sounds really good song 🤣
There are a few films like this directed by the star Stephen Chow. The most familiar would likely be "Shaolin Soccer". I would recommend that one next for you if you liked this one.
Recently, I like to watch the reaction of the people who watch the movies. If you hadn't watched Your Name, you would have watched it. I believe you will like. It's a incredible animation.
Howdy- I discovered your channel and see that you gravitate to the Marvel universe. There are many excellent films that I recommend that you submit to your patrons to consider and recommend for you to react to: 1) Shawshank Redemption; 2) Schindler's List; 3) The Green Mile; 4) Forest Gump.; 5) Parasite; and Saving Private Ryan. Virtually all of these won an Oscar award. Many of these are powerful dramas,
I have seen many kung fu hustle reactions video, and I noticed that most westerners could not catch the funny parts of the movie....like we Easterners do....cultural differences I think.
Can you please watch Rumble Fish it's a really good movie Based off the book by S.E. Hinton. Staring Matt Dillon as Rusty James,Nicholas Cage as Smokey,Diane Lane as Patty, and Mickey Rourke as The Motorcycle Boy
Good réaction at the end finally with that crazy everything Stephen chow movies as actor, as director And producer as well!!! Please to reacting more like Shaolin soccer And cj7 And king of comedy And the God of cookery....😉🙏
This is clearly not your type of movie as you said you dont really like action, and this is foreign film, we can see you did not pick up a lot of the references, nor did the sarcasm or irony, the dialogue meanings, as well as the comedy and witty style of Stephen Chow. There are some bits you did like and reacted to, and the "love story" (which is well placed) but generally just from this youtube cut, we can see many of the scenes do not really appeal to you whether its action or comedy or artistic cinematography. Its understandable as it is uniquely Stephen Chow style and there's a lot more hong kong and chinese culture references than western. And you probably focus on story in a movie more than anything else. Perhaps your patreons should suggest other types of movies more to your liking from now on. this movie is a good test. For example, you did not understand why the 3 heroes "fight" against each other. They mention about "spar". That's what fighters do for fun for their martial arts and respect to another and to learn from another, by "sparring". In this context, it is a chinese martial art culture setting. It is an honor to be able to spar against another skilled professional in a friendly setting and build relationship. They showed this in "Ip Man" too. And this is the first time the 3 heroes get to know one another's existence, and they will be departing from each other after that night. So a spar is a form of friendly connection between martial artists. Just like any other artistes that get together, using their art with each other. This is of course very different from super heroes in the western culture and style, which is typically dominated and portrayed by Marvel and DC characters. In Japanese anime culture, you would define this style of character building genre as "Shonen", meaning someone who starts out weak (but has potential), slowly builds up to become strong. Here, you see "Sing" acted by Stephen Chow is as such. The foreshadowing is that he heals fast. Also the Axe gang is reference and based on the real Axe Gang founded in 1921 in Shanghai around Japanese Occupation.
Please do this Sadhguru video, The Four Parts of the Mind - Vinita Bali with Sadhguru This one is 13 min 22 seconds long..........................................................................................................................................................

EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
"Is there a reason for that dance?"
Yes, a simple one actually. . .he's insane.
Meaning the axe gang is dominating the whole city, arrogantly,
how were you not bursting out laughing at the knife throwing scene? Everyone cracked up at that scene!
This shows that this isn't her type of comedy.
I've watched almost every reaction I can find on this movie, without having ever watched it myself. I noticed you cut several parts everyone else kept in, but you also included a lot I hadn't seen yet, and for that I thank you.
The knife throwing scene never ceases to make me laugh.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time
Im sad the sequel never came out😔
Mr. Stephen Chow is already filming the second part of this film series, but the level of secrecy is very high at present.
btw, the Budha palm is technique he learn from the little book from his childhood.
Hollywood today can only dream of making a movie like this.
At the beginning of the movie , it's a ref of a movie "Gang Of New York"
6:07 , it's a ref to his previous movie he made "Shaolin Soccer" when he destroyed the ball. Stepen Chow is hilarious and a really good Producer/Editor/actor , really respected in China.

5:51 "at least the plant is still alive" 😂 great reaction to an amazing film, one of my favs! 👍
Apart from Shaolin Soccer, there is another movie acted and directed by Stephen Chow as well is "From Beijing with Love". It is one of comedy movie worth to watch. Strongly suggest to watch.
The scene with all the blood coming out of the door was a reference to The Shining btw
I still like Shaolin Soccer a bit better...because of the "cheating" scene with the tools and such falling out of the shorts
I love that scene too, it's remarkable like Looney tunes and some other old school cartoon vibes.just cheating.
I wish I could like this twice, the closest film is Shaolin Soccer, same Director, many of the same cast.
You should watch Shaolin Soccer this movie so cool too, from same actor and director of Kungfu Hustle.
19:06 it's a premonition, he sees that there is death behind that door. like when he entered through the fence, he saw a storm cloud, like a tornado above the Asylum before entering. this is one of my all-time favs! great reaction! 👍

The best Epic film in Cinema History
Stephen Chow the director, is the main star in this movie! He wrote and directed it, and he has a script for Kung-fu Hustle 2!
Would love to see your reaction to Shaolin Soccer but also to the short film Kung Fury (which I hope you haven't seen yet) as the pinnacle of ridiculous 80s/Kung Fu parody, and available on RUclips.
Love this silly movie. One of my favs.
Shaolin Soccer is also by Stephen Chow, has a number of the same actors, and is amazing.
Hey, nice reaction..🤣🤣
I just want to ask u something, what is the song that you use in the backsound on the introduction starting at 0:00 ? I am just curious, it sounds really good song 🤣
"Shaolin Soccer" is another one of his works.
You seen Exorcist already? It might not be a Christmas movie, but it did premiere in December from what I've heard 😏👿
There are a few films like this directed by the star Stephen Chow. The most familiar would likely be "Shaolin Soccer". I would recommend that one next for you if you liked this one.
You should check out another Stephen chow movie 2013 ( Journey to the west conquering demons ) comedy & fantasy 👍🏽
