When she says a mere 10 years at the end it feels different compared to how it was perceived before. Because she is talking about a future adventure while letting out a little smile it feels more like she is saying 10 years is not long enough. It went from insignificant and short to short but significant, she understands time to be valuable Keiichirou Saitou who is directing Frieren also directed Bocchi the Rock and some Sonny Boy episodes.
Frierene actually makes me really happy for the same reason. I've hyped it up to my daughter who's 9 so we're watching it together and I'm really happy that I learned early on in being a parent to appreciate every single moment with my kid. Yesterday she was 3 and the most adorable child ever, now she's 9 very much getting into her stride as an individual and I can honestly say I don't feel like I missed anything or that I ever took the time with her for granted. Of course it's bitter sweet to see her get older but I'm really enjoying it. She still wants to snuggle and cuddle all the time and I'll treasure it every time because I know someday there will be a last time she climbs in my lap and cuddles with me, or asks me to lay down with her and cuddle while she goes to sleep. So watching Frieren together with her is a good reminder of how much I've enjoyed raising her...
Damn, that part with the priest reminds me of the One Piece quote: “When does a man die? When he is hit by a bullet? No! When he suffers a disease? No! When he ate a soup made out of a poisonous mushroom? No! A man dies when he is forgotten!”
@@meeeeehhhhhh It's not that I didn't get the plot. The plot progression just seemed so slow and all the build-up for Episode 1 just left me indifferent when it came to that one supposedly touching moment. The characters in the intro also looked kinda generic to me, as in none that called out my attention.
@@_shadiness Nah, I'm not saying that to insult you honestly. Just that you're not in the same wavelength with the anime yet. When I was in my teens, I was so confused with some mature anime that people glorify and I found extremely boring. Later on, when I became an adult and essentially matured, I understood why when I rewatched it because I finally got the message (or rather, it finally resonated within me) and I appreciated it. So yes, don't worry too much about it and just watch what you want to watch now. Maybe you'll remember this anime someday and watch it, who knows. Don't pressure yourself.

havent watched the show yet so not watching to avoid spoilers can someone tell me if he means angry like it sucks or angry like things that happen in it anger him
Frieren the anime series, teaches us, how you must value your life with important people around you. Quit idling around, remember, as the famous quote says "time is gold" so spend it wisely and meaningfulness.
I thought it make you angry because you she this quality and think "why the f we don't see more actual stories with some meaning instead of the shallow, mindless action, self insert otaku powerfantasy that are so f common?"
i really like the Frieren manga but the one thing that really bothers me about it is the names, they spoil like half the plot and feel really uncreative
I would subscribe to OnlyEars
Those ears man, I wanna suck them.

Speaking of Hitler, here's what every name from the series means in German:
Frieren: (to) Freeze (or to feel cold)
@@mwatsy An alternate translation of himmel is heaven which is appropriate for the subject matter
@@mwatsymore Freeze than Cold
@@cyberspacecat Yeah, makes more sense, thanks
Hitler's death was truly one of the saddest deaths ever.
Like wha...?

lol
Mc.Scuse me?!

and Frieren is practically immortal, if you are remembered by her you will live for a long, long time
Dude got traded and got angry, oh sorry that was a different Damian.
For Himmel, Hitler, and Eisen it was 10 years, for Frieren it was just 520 Tuesdays.
Heiter bru, not Hitler 😂
Dyou remember the source on that quote about waking up an adult with responsibilities? Swear i know it from somewhere but can’t remember where
From the trailer I knew it was gonna hit me, not that it would be a contender for my anime of the year.
I kinda fell asleep watching it tho
@@_shadiness Maybe you should watch a generic shonen full of fight
@@_shadinessIt's a show for adults. Come back to this anime when you're in your 20s or 30s.

focuses real hard on the touching moments of the manga/show but also EARS... BIG ASS EARS 🤣
Also toes, lots of elf toes
I love this anime. I heavily relate to the feeling of forgetting the journey that got you to where you are, and feeling guilty because of it.
we're in for something special this season, i hope it continues delivering this strong.

It's Heiler
And that's not how you pronounce Eisen

it's not Heiler, it's Heiter, because he's jovial when drunk
