- Meet my Sunset Cardigan Pattern. This pattern comes in two other styles, to keep you stylish all spring and summer! In this tutorial I show you how to create the full length cardigan. You can find the pattern bundle for the cropped, full length, and cover up versions in my Etsy Shop:

For the Back Panel the graphic with the chain count was accidentally left out, below you can find the chain count for each size.
Sizes will be written XS/S (M/L, XL/2X, 3X/4X, 5X/6X)
Chain 66 (82, 106, 122, 138)
Method: Crochet
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Hook: 8 mm L Hook
Yarn: Size 3 weight Cotton Yarn or Cotton Blend Yarn
Yarn Brand Options: Lion Brands "Coboo" or "Truboo". Bernat "Softee Baby Cotton". Patons "Hempster"
(Used Carron Cotton Angel Cakes for sample cardi, it is catagroized
as a size 4 cotton blend yarn- however its rather thin and I would put it in the size 3 category.)
Yardage:
XS/S: 860
M/L: 1,060
XL/2X: 1,260
3X/4X: 1,460
5X/6X: 1,660
Other: Yarn Needle, 1 Stitch Marker & Scissors

I really really, really really would you would do a short tutorial on the stitches for your cropped cardigans !!! I and a visual learner, i have crochet experience, but i am nervous about purchasing those 2 patterns and sort of blindly, for me going into them. I just bought the sunset cardi today, going to Michaels tonight for the yarn! I really appreciate your cardi, being a mid/plus size gal myself its nice to have cardi I know that are geared for me!
The stitches are exactly the same as shown in this video. The only difference with the cropped cardigan is less rows. Everything else in this tutorial is the same.

I just started the M/L size & I’m wondering how big the back panel should measure?
Yes that is correct. The back panel should span over each shoulder to create a sleeve almost. This cardigan is an oversized fit. If you want a more fitted look you can go down one size.
If i use the Caboo yarn, what size hook should I use? Thank you 😊
Hi! Coboo is one of the alternative yarn I mention so you would use the same hook size I use in the video. 8mm L hook

How long ( how many rows) on back panel?
I did 52 Rows total but you can make this cardigan as long/short as you want it. Just make sure you keep your row count the same for your front panels :)

The # of chains for each size is at 3:16. You may have missed it because it flashed but quickly. Thank you for posting the chains and stitch counts. Many people can’t afford rent and groceries with the terrible inflation. Your kindness is appreciated. When I have some extra $$ I’ll purchase some patterns from you.

The first piece was the back… she gives the ch needed at -41.47.
