Tip for PNF stretches: you can do many of them with a partner or one of those rubber bands used for strength training. For example for the hamstrings. Lie on your back, one leg on the ground. Your partner kneels in front of you and you put your leg on his shoulder. Now comes the passive stretch. He will stretch your straight leg to the point where you either feel the stretch or where your lower back is still on the ground (with tight hamstrings the lower back and butt usually lifts up pretty soon). Hold that stretch for a while. Next, the strength part: you put your leg back on your partner's shoulder and you try to push it to the ground, as if you wanted to push him away. 7 seconds of that, full power and you can go to the next part. The active stretch. Your partner leads you to the point you have reached before, but this time you also try to go into an active stretch, so you actively try to contract the antagonist, which is the big muscle on the front of your thigh, the quadriceps. You will probably get quite a lot further this time. Again, make sure that you have good form. Lower back stays on the ground. There are many of these stretches that can be a lot easier with a partner or a rubber band. The rubber band will be primarily useful for the strength portion. A partner can help you during all the steps and make sure tat you have good form.
Alex Glentworth - Yea, we pretty much wear them all the time.. love the feiyues, super comfortable, super cheap ha. Only downside is the soles wear out pretty quickly..mainly with wall runs.
Nice video, and I love the Feiyue shoes as well! They have helped me so much in finding my weak areas such as in landing wrong and balancing. You really must pay attention to your form in them!
ah man! surely u gotta put some cat grab and martial arts tutorials. i've been asking this fr 3 videos. however this video is super cool man i'm gonna try this tomorrow. as like ur other tutorials, i'm gonna succeed in it.
Tight hamstrings bothered me so much with my training, it just limits what i can do with my body which made me frustrated sometimes. Thx for the video.
Another great way to build flexibility is by doing the sit and reach and cross leg stretches where you split your legs apart and strait then stretch towards one side then the other. This will help with multiple muscles in the lower body.
NICE!!! Very descriptive as always. Thanks a lot for these great tips and The "Holy Grail" too. U guys don't just upload these tutorials u also describe, why do we do that, how does it help in our body fitness... Which is very important to know. I need a little help on my leg workouts, can u give some exercise to develop leg muscles? Thanks... :)
Note to self: When making splits, make sure you're holding onto something so you don't slip with your feet deeper than you can/should otherwise you might feel a lot of pain.
i like these videos they help out allot but i dont know where i could use these move can u make a video that shows us good place to do tricks if u can that would be great
Hey brothers Can you please give a few tips and examples on using local streets for urban flow.. like if I wanted to run around my neighbor Hood and practice flowing thru what are some commen stuff you'd see on a street and how to go about it so I can just eventually just flow thru without thinking about it... Thanks so much guys 💕
I do all the training but it pays off but I don't see much progression is there any exercise what I could do was combines all the exercises so pay off even more
I used to go to a gymnastics academy. I was new to gymnastics so i didn't do so good in the evaluation class so i was put in beginners i made it to advanced intermediates in a little over a year.
thanks for this I'm totally going to the martial arts stretches and strengthening exercises. I never considered going from the front to the side and took the back without putting my foot down. One question though, with the PNF stretches when you said 30 seconds did you mean contract for total of 30 seconds and then relax only do PNF stretching or 30 seconds?
Hey Sean, awesome to hear my friend and hope your training is going well! For the 30 seconds of PNF stretching, I meant 30 seconds for the PNF stretching session for that position. For example, for the side split stretch I will hold the static position for 3-5 seconds, contract for 7 seconds, relax for 3 seconds, slowly lower down and hold in the lower side split position for 15 seconds. That will complete the side split, then I move to stretching a different set of muscles or position. Occasionally I will perform an extra set of side split PNF stretching (again 30 seconds total) after I have stretched in my other positions.
Ahh, thanks a lot man! I'm totally going try that out. I'm diggin the martial arts training you both are doing. What's it like training with sifu Kisu?
Sean Lord Awesome! Training with Sifu Kisu is an incredible experience. He teaches the application and kung fu techniques very well and he puts his heart and soul into the teachings. Def. one of our top mentors and instructors we've had.
TappBrothers hi !! I was a fat guy before and so lazy ,but then i started training parkour anf for three months i losted 13 kg but im not that much flexible still its hard for me to control my body and stay tight please do u have any tips ??
Durim Leci Awesome to hear of the great weight loss results from training Parkour! For what you described I would recommend training some ballet and Yoga. I have found these 2 disciplines perfect for gaining body control and flexibility. YOu don't have to train to cray with it. Just a few ballet or yoga exercises each morning or added on top of your workouts will make a big difference. Also following the exercises shown in this video will help ;)
Mark Anderson I had the same thing the first time I did those circles, especially in my neck and shoulders. The next day it was already better and now after a week it is almost completely gone. In my personal experience the sound your joints make is fine, as long as you're not hurting yourself. Don't take my word for it though as I don't have much knowledge on stretching
do you have any tips about how keep glasses from falling off or breaking and also how to keep your phone from falling out your pockets and breaking awhile running around town
I'm 13 and when I first saw parkour I thought it was so cool and I really want to try it. Sadly I can't even do a parkour roll and I think I'm overweight and nonflexible plz can u help
btw i've been trying to do they active flexing in my legs but i'm having trouble to even get my leg straight (the one i'm lifting) have you had any luck?
Dont make circles with your head, its a non physiological movement... Better split it up in: half circles (front side and backside), as well as looking down and up in one movement, looking left & right, and ear to shoulder... Reason is that the neck has no circle joint, it just seems like it...
Tip for PNF stretches: you can do many of them with a partner or one of those rubber bands used for strength training. For example for the hamstrings. Lie on your back, one leg on the ground. Your partner kneels in front of you and you put your leg on his shoulder.

In doing the joint circles as part of the warm up, many of my joints pop and crack. Will that go away, or should I be doing something else first?

Pull-ups, becouse push-ups focuz more on the chest.
Did anyone reference Chuck Norris?
🤔
OK I understand using the rubber to keep the phone in your pocket but what about landing on the phone while its in your pocket and break it
The best thing to do is get a phone case... so just try not to land on the phone

Gamers like me gotta know this.My standing posture is a bit forward often!!!!!
Dont make circles with your head, its a non physiological movement... Better split it up in: half circles (front side and backside), as well as looking down and up in one movement, looking left & right, and ear to shoulder... Reason is that the neck has no circle joint, it just seems like it...
