The dial on the 41mm Ranger is much more interesting than the newer 39mm Ranger. The new Ranger is too sterile imo. The Rose Logo and smiling self winding and the red seconds hand, add personality to the 41.
Thank you so much for this comparison! Great content and great collection. I just purchased the 2022 Ranger a couple days ago. You’re one of the few reviewers who actually have the watch in hand. Yours is a fair assessment compared to others. Bravo!
I am a collector, more than 400 watches. I own almost every modern Tudor. Thats what brings me to share with community. My channel shares my views on what i own and buy. I am glad this comparisson between 3 pueces i know very well is of use
Appreciate your detailed description. I am going to buy the old Ranger. From Rolexes and Black Bays I‘ve had and have enough so far. Except the P01 which is actually on my list as well 😉
@@WatchInTime Fully understand, the key issue of almost each collector. Especially since you have several in the same range. Had the 41 Ranger, the 39er and the BB P01 in hands today. Difficult decision making, went finally for the P01 for now: on secondary market, like new for a very reasonable price. But I am sure my watch story will end . . . 😉

@@WatchInTime I paid 2.700 € for the P01 like new. The retail prices are indeed going up like everywhere, therefore I buy only on secondary market. The Northflag looks great indeed - was not on my screen so far - for approx 2.700 € available. Would be an option as well . . . .
This is exactly the comparison video I was looking for. I have the Ranger 41mm and was thinking of selling it to get the new Ranger 39mm but after looking at this video I'm sticking with my 41mm. Not sure why but I kind of like it better and I don't see a big big difference in size they both have the same big style look on your wrist since they both have a big dial. You are bless to be able to have both of them and it sucks that the new Ranger doesn't come with that gorgeous camouflage NATO strap.
thanks for the comments. Also the bund strap of the 41mm is very nice and unique, very tool military. no other strap is like that today in Tudor, its a pity it was not reimagined. The rubber cloth strap is the same as the pro, hence no real novelty. They are very very similar, keeping the 41 is an excellent choice.
Agreed. I sold mine to buy the new one, and it was the right choice for my needs but the Heritage Ranger is a more elegant and interesting watch. I will be purchasing it again in future.
@@Jo5ue1 the 38mm with the bracelet feels just as large as the 41mm. The difference is the dial size makes the 41 look larger. The size is not the issue in my opinion but the style. i know what they said.. see it your self here, Rolex is a 904 steel, still this 316 is as good. Brushing is perfect and very very fine vertical. The clasp is fantastic. I own 10 Rolexes, i can tell you for sure this TUDOR is giving you as much for a fraction of the price. and an excellent reliable movement too.
Thank god I’m NOT Adrien Barker or doing anything he does…Ranger is one of the coolest watches on the entire market from any brand I’ve ever seen in my life and I had to have it.
fantastic comparisons - I will jhave to check out your other vids. It looks like the bracelet taper is on par with the Rolex which has been a nick pick of mine regarding Tudor bracelets.
good question, it does not. Nato is a 22mm, the new Ranger as other BB58, is a 20mm. Curious thing they told me at AD is that also the nato strapa from the BB58, will not fit as holes are in a different position.
Yes sorry i forgot tonhave a lume shot, i never prepare my videos, just sit and have a chat. Like friends do. The Ranger 39, seems brighter than all after charged but what i noticed is when not charged like at night going from a lighted area to dark, its more visible having that yellowish hue
Enjoyed your video. I got offered a rubber strap edition yesterday. I’m going to hold out for a bracelet model. I currently have a 36mm Explorer. I love my Explorer, but the value has prohibited me enjoying it when I’m actually doing fun stuff. I may sell it for this watch and just bang this ranger up guilt free. In the video the Rolex seems to wear larger than the 39mm. I obviously would have loved the Ranger in 36mm, but how does it compare to you in terms of size to your 39mm Explorer? Again, great video.
It in facts wears smaller so better for you that like the 36mm. Dial is smaller and lug to lug slightly too this is why. Plus the arabics are too and this makes the effect. The strap tapers too. Explorer are not more sought after watches but i understand dont wanting to ruin, watches are made to be wear, hence if you are afraid to enjoy the explorer better to sell and get this. Will give you same feeling with more fun. Definetly get ss steel bracelet. Try to get from your retail the nato for free. Update us on this story

@briandorsey6437 you're blind sorry
If the Ranger had white printing, I would like it better than the Explorer...I really don't like the (too) wide bezel on the Explorer.
Its an interesting point of view. If it was white it would have been a perfect prob better twin
I know it is historically accurate, but I find the dial so flat and dull. It’s a shame because it seems like a well made watch.
Just a lazy job really.
Which do you prefer, the Ranger 39 or the Explorer. I suspect Rolex screwed up and let Tudor produce a better product in this case.
They did compared to the 36mm but this is my opinion. Tudor is a purist, a tool watch in all its essence

True, as i said on video the 41 is 100% a tool watch impossible to wear with a tie, the new 39 is not a lets you wear less as a tool
