What are the other ports you'll be visiting? You can find information on my blog, I did most of the Mediterranean ports myself, so the information is detailed and reliable. You can find the ports here, hope it helps :): adventourbegins.com/mediterranean-cruises/
I'm from Civitavecchia and I think you forgot to add one of the main attraction my city has to offer: The "Madonna col Kimono" painting in Chiesa dei Santi martiti Giapponesi. It's the only painting in Europe depicting the Virgin Mary with the traditional Japanese Kimono :)
Thanks so much. I’m thinking about a Mediterranean cruise and this provides a lot of useful information as Rome (Civitavecchia) would be our final stop.
Hi, I am glad the video is helpful! I advise you to stay in Rome for at least 3-4 days after your cruise, there's so much to see and one day is not enough. If you are planning to visit the attractions, book the tickets online in advance. Have a great cruise! :)
I like your video, it’s very informative, thank you. I’ll be visiting Rome through a cruise this summer and already booked a the hop on hop off bus with transfer from Civitavechia but I can’t find the drop off place once we get to Rome. I need to find that out so I can buy the tickets online for the Vatican Museum. By any chance chance do you know where those motor couches drop the cruise passengers off? TIA
Hello Marisol, thank you, I am glad you like the video. :) As far as I remember, there are two drop-off points in the area of Vatican, one is right by St Peter's Square (a 5-10 minute walk from Vatican Museums) and the second one is across the bridge from Castel Sant'Angelo (in this case, you need to walk about 15 minutes). Anyway, they will provide you with maps and information, usually there are representatives of the Hop on Hop off bus company so you can ask them too, they will tell you more precisely which are the names of bus stops :) Hope this helps! Have a wonderful time in Rome!
We did the coach tour from Civitavecchia to Rome in 2018 as part of our Med cruise. Wouldn't recommend it. Wandering at leisure in Civitavecchia itself is a perfectly pleasant way to spend a day, whereas Rome was incredibly hot and very crowded.
Hello! June should be fine, I would be more concerned about July and August! Although I was in Rome in May last year and it was hot, it really depends on the day@@kiwisun529
Hi! I didn't stay in a hotel, I visited Civitavecchia/Rome on a cruise ship. But I researched the best hotels/accommodations in Civitavecchia near the cruise port and in Rome suitable for cruise passengers (hotels for different budgets), and I listed them in my blog post: adventourbegins.com/best-hotels-near-port-of-civitavecchia-rome/ Check it out, I think the list is good 😇
Thank you! This is very informative. We need port information. I hope you have the rest of the ports we’ll be going to.

Hi do you remember what month it was. We are scheduled to be there early june and im wondering if heat will be unbearable. thx
Very objective opinion. For people fascinated by history it's a must see. Some people absolutely must visit the city in their life time

Thanks 🙏🏽
Are all these attraction pretty close to each other ? Walking distance ?
Yes! Very close
Everything is within walking distance, with good organization you can cover the city highlights in a day.
In what hotel did you stay at civitavecchia?

I heard that Trieste is the busiest port in Italy, but google says Genoa. So, our voice here must not be correct.
They are all big ports, and they constantly grow, so who knows :)
