@HammerFan Hvala vam na komentaru. Zaista je predivna ova pruga. Volio bih putovati i snimiti i put do Zadra. nadam se, da če se vratiti putnički promet...
I was wondering why the train was so loud until I realize the locomotive is an EMD GT22HW-2 model, which is partially based on the EMD SD40/45 model that were so popular in the USA as freight locomotives.
Once more my favourite line and this time with an EMD 😍 Can't wait to see the last part, especially the departure from Perković, I hope the driver did not spare the gasoline there 😁
Thank you for another great video! This time with my new workplace in sight, the glass building on the left, as soon as the loco starts to accelerate from the Zagreb main. EDIT: Once again, Vukovar Avenue at 7:05 is Dubrovnik Avenue. 😁
I know this line almost better than the railways near home! However, despite the diesel locomotive it feels like being on an Intercity. Do Hzpp intend to modernize and double the line to Rijeka? If so, the line to Karlovac would be simple. Problems would arise later, with viaducts and tunnels. I know they have been talking about it for years. Nice line anyway, especially in the Mreznica Valley. The stations would need renovation.
Thanks very much for another ride on this line. Speeds are really horrible, especially on the flat route between Zagreb and Karlovac.Until next year they are only doing road overpasses and underpasses, and after that they will start to upgrade the track. I wish you will find a chance to film recently reconstructed regional railway between Zabok and Krapina ;)
@doriancroatia2054 I will certainly have this in my mind. Sometimes I am repeating the lines, but at the moment there are many renovations going on around.
@@RailRelaxation yep, this whole decade will be one big railway construction site over here :D some things are finnished or in the high stage of completion, though :)
Hi. Do you know if the railway line that connect Zagreb to Knin and pass by Bihac, BiH (Una line), will be reopen ? I searched the web and there is some articles about that, but nothing very positive.
@@AntenneQC Unfortunately, it will not happen - even if it will, it will be in a very distant future....things are too complicated...line goes along Croatia - BiH border.... Croatia is part of a Schengen area, Bosna is not even real EU candidate yet...
This line will probably be the one to use the Koncar battery electric trains to replace diesel trains since the line isn’t electrified. These trains have a designed maximum top speed of 120 kph which is more than enough for this line. I guess they figured buying battery trains is cheaper than electrifying hundreds of kilometers of railway.
Croatia could finally settle its differences with Bosnia and use the old route via Bihać again. Even if several kilometers of track would have to be repaired first. The scenic journey over the Kapela Mountains and through the Lika would be lost, but the Una Valley is said to be very beautiful. And it could work electrically again as far as Knin if the overhead line is rebuilt. Theoretically, this would even be possible without time-consuming locomotive changes, if each railway administration did not have to use its own machine. And as far as I know, the Stadler EuroDual is currently being tested in Croatia, so these locomotives could be used over the entire route.
@@themazeLE highly unlikely to happen. It’s not political as much as it’s economic feasibility. Who would use that route? Very little people probably. And that like would have to go over repairs in both countries. Croatia is slow with these reconstructions, Bosnia is infinitely slower though. That’s just unrealistic. What would be more realistic is to have a night train between Zagreb and Sarajevo but then you have to get over the burden of border controls. In conclusion there are many more important routes which need to be taken care of before thinking of maintaining a good rail connection with a non EU member
No, they are ordering New electro-diesel trains (6 units) specifically for the route Zagreb - Split. Deliveries from 2026. Between Zagreb and Oštarije it Will operate as a Electric train, further South to Split as a diesel train. It Will ne built by Končar group
Of course. Even though I already know the route as a passenger and from your previous videos, I'm looking forward to the next parts. It's a real shame that I can't go on holiday to Croatia this year. 😕
Ciao,un bellissimo video 🎉che ci porta dalla capitale Zagabria fino a Spalato. Posso chiedere se c'è qualcuno che mi possa aiutare a reperire dei Fascicoli Orario anche scaduti di validità? Ringrazio anticipatamente.
And most of the time the blame is put on the stock or the drivers but rarely on the track. The drivers are always doing there best keeping to the timetable but with all the small speed limits popping around every corner it can be stressful. If they want this stock to be fast, the track needs to have speed limit of 120 km/h all the way from Zagreb to Split.
Renovations are going to be done, so that Zadar can once again be connected with the rest of the country by train. And then RR is going to be there to bring us the scenery! 😁

@DeathMagnetic666Kirk Thank you my friend. I really appreciate that I have people like you following the channel from the beginning.
