    Amy, I make all my pudding pie fillings in my microwave and I don't have to stir it all the time.

    Could you use a vacuum sealed container instead of using the plastic wrap?

      I haven't seen that done. As long as there is no air, then a skin should not form.

    If you have an egg allergy like I do what's the substitute? If there is any

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook 2 года назад

      I think the egg is for richness like a custard. Since the corn starch is the thickener, it may be possible to omit the egg yolks or use any egg substitute.

    What gives it the butterscotch flavor as opposed to just making vanilla pudding?

      My hubs like vanilla pudding, what should I change in the recipe to make it vanilla?

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook 2 года назад +2

      I think the butter and brown sugar help.

    • @AmyLearnsToCook
      @AmyLearnsToCook  2 года назад +2

      Butterscotch flavor is from the brown sugar and butter. It is the base for butterscotch candy and actually caramel as well. Thanks for watching, Lisa!

    • @AmyLearnsToCook
      @AmyLearnsToCook  2 года назад +1

      A kitchen in our basement is fine. Half of our basement is above ground. It has a walkout and 5 floor to ceiling windows. We have all the permits needed and it has been inspected once and will be again twice by the county.
