- One of my bucket list items has always been to see Tom's Resto-mod 1990 Foxbody Mustang Notchback in person. Well, not only did I get to see it, he let me drive it! This car is no stranger to RUclips and/or the cover of magazines and car shows alike. Tom's car - better known as War Admiral, has recently gone through some changes. It has been mini tubbed, rear end shortened, new 12" wide barrels in the rear, massive new Nitto R888 rear tires, new fuel system, bigger turbo, new hydraulic clutch, etc. etc. etc.
This car is honestly hard to put into words. I try my best during the POV driving scenes, and I also try to sum it up towards the end of the video as well however, I think my reactions through out this video will give you a good impression of what this car is really all about.

Man if a fox coupe ever gave you the drive to build your own dream….then this is the coupe that inspires me everyday to build my project 1985 t-top coupe to this kinda level…I’m a long way away with a roller , fully stripped and a rusty floor pan to deal with😩 but I have time!

Always been a huge fan of foxbody, but this one takes it. This one has all the advantages combined with a pretty sick engine. I don't know more than the video, but if the rest of the mods align with the 1000hp claim, like the handling, the large brakes, and all proper ride stiffness like tower braces, and thick anti-roll etc. I mean this is the best version of the foxbody. Maybe what I'd add is more downforce and widebody kit. But I wouldn't want to change the look I'd still try to keep it a sleeper.

Awesome car! Thing is, I drive a bolt-on fox body 5.0 and enjoy it as a daily driver/weekend warrior! What I don't like is how my 30 year old hot rod isn't competitive with the Chevy SSs or the Dodge Demons! I would like to see your car outrunning these factory hot rods being sold these days! I know you could do it! I just want to see one of my favorites putting these factory hot rods in their place. (The rear view mirror!) Thanks and good luck my friends!
