Another great video Guy cheers. Was literally about to pull the trigger on a 2021 E160s this week, after having ridden a hire bike at FOD last month and loved it. Seeing the new models on the horizon, think i'll wait to get the latest tech. 90% sure i'll be getting one of these now. I've ridden a couple of other options over the last month and, as you say, I have yet to find another bike that I feel is so planted and balanced on the trail. Hedging my bets with stock...but think i'll await for one of these bad boys.
@@GuyKesTV Sold! haha, eagerly awaiting the drop of MX E-160s bikes. One thing that strikes me though, can the battery be removed with the bike free-standing, or does it need to be in a stand or upside down?
Hi Guy, Great video.. how would you compare this to the Mondraker Crafty you rode? I'm torn between this and the RR... which is the better all rounder? Cheers
Both really great bikes, Whyte geometry/weight placement feels a bit more planted but the online feels awesome on the RR and I'm pretty sure it's lighter too. Mondraker definitely kill it on price
@@GuyKesTV Awesome, thanks for the reply. I've managed to blag a Crafty demo next week, so will hopefully get to try an e160 before I completely decide. I like a bike that's planted.. but also like lighter!! Might have to flip a coin 😆😆
@@dirtyoffroader2093 just be wary that the Ohlins on the RR can feel a bit dead at first because it’s so well damped. When you start attacking stuff hard though it’s an absolute charger.
@GuyKesTV Thanks fir the heads up, I think this RR has Fox 38s on the front, the XR has Òhlins 👍.. although I don't mind stiffer suspension, it suits me better. Looking forward to trying it. 👍
£8,000 is quite a lot for an alloy framed, fox elite equipped ebike! This years Giant Reign E0, again alloy frame but with Fox Factory is ‘only’ £7,500.
@@jeremyparsons5379 You had a bad experience with them?. Most owners seem to be absolute fanboys according to fb groups. Way less issues compared to Giant, cube, focus, haibike etc. Genuinely interested as I cant be dealing with anymore build quality issues and shite manufacturer support, Id stay with my current bike for a few more years
Fox 38 and E=Mtb². Why would anyone NOT want to explore new Grounds.???? If Mtb riders haven't worked it out after 4 years of Emtb then they never will. They are NOT for racing just Fun Fun Fun. It's simply the Evolution of human thinking. E=Mtb²
In terms of handling and ride vibe I'd go Whyte all the way, Rails are good but they're a bit of a brute to chuck about. I've heard a lot of issues about loose batteries cutting out on older Rails too but don't know if that's a thing anymore.
Good video Guy
Love the colour way of this! Seems like this bike has it all going on FairPlay!

Definitely worth going for a new one unless you can find a current model super cheap

Have you reviewed the 160 rs none ebike yet guy.
Great detailed reviews as always 👍
Great review. Bought one of these after watching and loving it! Can anyone tell me where this video was shot? Nice trails.
Kilburn
This or the Megawatt? I am leaning towards the longer travel Nukeproof but I also like the bigger battery on the Whyte! Cheers!
Do you know which water bottle/cage combo fits the RSX as my new Fidlock 450ml bottle hits the shock reservoir?

Yeah I agree. Pricing was only announced a week after I shot the video.
If you had to choose only one, Kenevo sl or the E160?
This, just for the extra runs
Looking at Focus jam or the RSX Whyte
Can you run the Whyte as a mullet?
Yup, the Shape It link lets you adjust geom for mullet 👍🏻
What is the weight?
I’d it 160mm on the back?
No it’s about 153mm
Cooll
Ticks every box, now the battery can be removed. Time to sell my current ebike I think
Be careful buying a Whyte, build quality not great

@@MTBTrailsAroundSurrey agreed...from my experience with others owning Whyte's the excellent build quality has been their stand-out feature.
@@jeremyparsons5379that's bollox pal. I've owned x3 Whyte bikes including the '22e160s and I've not had any problems with my Whyte bikes

Price is now extortionate for what it is… I’m out!
Fair enough. I hadn't been told the pricing when I was filming or editing and it's definitely jumped from the previous generation.
How would you rate this against the Trek Rail

I tested the Rail 7 and E160S, then I bought the Whyte👍🏽
