We're all guilty of it, but you're actually supposed to disconnect the negative terminal rather than the positive.. It's all about things ability to short thru ground...

Also main and rod bearings out of spec will cause low oil pressure

That's why I have my oil changed 3k miles or every 4 to 5 months on my 14 grand caravan. Oil is cheaper than an engine

Alright get this. I just had the oil changed on mine and they used the wrong oil filter, I then got the P06DD code come up and went back. I watched them pull the incorrect filter out of the car and replace it with the right one. I still can't get rid of the code though and the car is in limp mode because of it. Help me out please and thank you.

TYRONE, GOOD RULE OF THUMB REMOVING BATTERY CABLE, WITH TODAY'S COMPUTERIZED VEHICLES LIKE THE REMOTE STARTS. IF A STRAY SIGNAL TRIGGERS THE AUTOSTART AND YOU'RE WORKING ON THE PULLEYS. YOU CAN GET YOUR FINGERS CHOPPED OFF.

I have been having this off and on with my 2014 Ram 1500, seems like my filter seal was bad causing it to piss out oil, topped off the oil, replaced the seal, and it did do it a couple time after but I checked, seen oil down the manifold from the filter, took the air gun blasted a bunch of shit out and so far its been okay

I only ever own worn out, ancient engines (some of my fleet is from the 1950s) and I have never known an oil pump to fail. The engine will run again, but its life is going to be short...they destroyed it though neglect.

Thats a cat code. Check your o2 sensor wiring & the catalytic converter

@@Flatlandproductionz you are correct checked everything and it’s a glitch in the software. When it’s warm out it doesn’t come on. Weird one I’ve worked on thousands of these vans and the one I own has this issue lol my luck

Would the wrong oil filter cause you to lose oil? I got an oil change a few months ago, now I got the P06DD and my oil was VERY low.

Same issue. Oil was low. Put oil in and runs smooth

Then there's a leak. Most likely the oil filter cooler

I have a 2014 Jeep grand Cherokee limited with a penstar v6, I’m getting the p06dd code and traction control light coming on when I’m usually on the highway, I’ve replaced the oil cooler with the upgraded metal one, changed oil, new filter and it’s still happening. Any tips?

If that thing needs a new oil pump, it needs a new engine. debris has circulated throughout and taken out the oil pump..and bearings too.

Not necessarily on the pentastar. It has a pump that adjusts its size via a solenoid on the pump the solenoid is what fails.
