Have stayed in some similar guesthouses on Soi Pothole , Soi Lengkee and Soi Bukhao , usually all good value and clean , only negative is no elevator ,
Looks really nice. Very clean, good location, well appointed and nice receptionist. Only concern I would have is with outside noise front and back. Probably won't be long before building starts on the cleared area behind the hotel, and Soi Pothole I expect is very noisy at night.
I stayed in this guesthouse in November 2019, before the pandemic started. I was in a superior room with a balcony overlooking soi pot hole on the second floor. I never heared any noise at all until i opened the balcony door. So was ok for noise at night, Only thing was I found the mattress very hard and took a couple of nights to get used to it. Would definately stay again.
My last visit to Thailand was June of 2019. Did have a few beers on Soi Pot hole. I actually miss the potholes. It kept the vehicle traffic low on that street. Now a lot of people drive up and down the street since it connects to 3rd road
I stayed there once. Got a good rate because my friend in Pattaya was mates with the owner. Really liked it. I had a standard room with balcony. Was a bit noisy at night but if your out most nights that doesn’t matter.
Just a quick thanks for all the previous condo and these hotel vids. I'm returning to live in Jomtien after 3 years away.. this time STAYING for an early semi retirement. Curtis in Las Vegas (2 days until I fly)
Nice vlog as always, Daz! Seems like a good short term option. Location is....interesting. Convenient if you plan to bar hop Pothole and be walking distance to LK and Treetown. Probably "too convenient" if you plan to Butterfly. And sleeping "normal hours" probably ok right now but not as business returns.
Just booked this place again for a trip next March...Balcony rooms booked out for a lot of dates already...Even the Suite room wasn't available for the first 4 nights of my stay
I stayed here for a week my last stay, by coincidence, in that same first room she showed you. TV reception was very patchy. Rooms were clean, but very tired. Location is pretty great though. Service ranged from very friendly to stand-offish and for the record: I wasn't noisy, rude or disruptive. Maybe I exceeded my guest turnover quota though. *cough cough...ahem*
One question: Does it have a restaurant or are there restaurants very close by for breakfast, lunch, dinner ?? A jug for hot drinks is good for me. What about a shop close by to buy tea or coffee and for myself citrus Lime fruit ?? Girl friendly but joiner fee ?? Now for those who may be interested in another aspect of friendships: Is this place L.B. friendly ?? Or does "Guest friendly" cover everything as long as everybody behaves themselves ??
So with the bosses discount, that is about $475 per month for the top floor suite. Brilliant location. There is so much choice. All you need to do is decide where you want to be, and there seem to be bargains.
Hi Daz , Pratumnak ( Sands Condo ) was amazing , But will go Buakhao next time again .... Booked basic standard Room @ Chaiyapoon Inn for Next Year March ( Pay later / can cancel on Agoda) 10,080 B for 29 day/ 28 nites . At about 350 b/ nite cheap enough to go to K. Kood ( fr example ) for a week and not care . Read many good reports , and hear they have soundproofed front room doors / windows .
What a bargain. Great location, could be a bit noisy for some people but not for me. IMO the more Soi Chaiyapoon grows the more it's looking like a mini Ko San Road.
I can recommend the Bike rental shop on soi Langkee, (bottom end opposite Loaf) Geoff Carter did a vlog a few year ago, reasonable selection, scooters, msx/grom a 250 off roader and a 300 sports. owner is sound. HTH.
Just started watching your budget hotel videos and enjoying it very much. I do not know the locations you're referring to in the videos. It would be nice to start off the videos with google map locations.
Looked at this too... It looks good and in the middle of the action 😂 The only thing that is "holding me back" is the lack of pool... But is it easy to use other hotel pools? (like pay for a drink or a small fee?) Or how is the prices on those sauna clubs with a pool? Because most likely I'll not use a pool everyday but when I wanna cool off some 😂
Nice enough facility...but I'd be rather disinclined to be that close to the nightlife--I'm no nightowl by any means and I appreciate that there would be a good deal of noise late into the night on such a street. I'd prefer the walk or baht bus trip from a distance away--just me. And the hotel gal is skinny but cute.
Can you do a a review of the sea side restraunt on soi pot hole . They have a nice burger and fries. I think I was 85 baht. Best I had in Pattaya. I went back many times
With the growth of soi chaiyapoon there will be a party every other night at many of the bars, so may not be good for those wishing to be in bed by midnight!
i would do the big unit for 30 days. I prefer a place with a pool though, although it is not a far walk to other hotels that will let you pay as you go for a day swim. good location just off of soi bukhao
@@everythingPattaya its right up near central pattYa rd at the quiet end of soi bukhao. You can cut through between them . There was a laundry there i think. Its a very cheap hotel. I was there years ago.but its still there.
Language is my biggest turn off. Cable tv, but any English speaking programming? I lean toward the Philippines because many speak at least a little English. But great video.
The top room with kitchen is nice & big for $25/month? Unbelievably cheap... Wish they have an elevator... I can do bar hopping next door and bring girls home every night... No long walk No risk of accident after being drunk . Nice location.. Wish 7 eleven next door
I stayed there on my first trip to Pattaya. Not a great place but not bad either. If you're looking for cheap accommodations in a great location, this is it.
When you do these it would be helpful if you would ask if they register you at immigration for your place of residence. If you do not register within 72 hours then you get a 1600 baht fine. One year I found out the hard way and got a 1600 baht fine . A hotel is expected to register you if they do not then they get 2000baht per day fine.some guest houses it and some do not.evev is you own your own condo and leave Thailand to go back home you have 72 hours to get. To Immagration and register again. When you do your reviews can you pleas ask if they register there guests.if you rent an appartmen you have to Register yourself. Do not take there word for it. Go and get it done. It is free. Take your contract and receipt with you to immigration. There are agents just out see of immigration to the left and will do the papers properly for 200 baht. I highrecomendthem they can move you up quickly in the q . Get register papers from desk when you first walk in and take them to the agent to to the left of entry outside. Take your passport with you

Another well-made video. Your voice really makes it enjoyable to watch and listen.
You've got to love the dog and billiards picture hanging in the common area adjacent to the entrance of the room.
GREAT series. hoping to add value to your efforts. This place is as low as $11 US per night on the web. love the scouting! big fan.

I stayed in the big suite room with the kitchen area during sonkran in 2019 was great fun in that road 😀👍
Looks a great place.
In non cvid times too noisy.
Now ok bars shut early
I stayed in the suite about 6 years ago. One of the best friendliest places I have stayed in Pattaya
The 2nd room looks great, location good, I just couldn't manage the stairs with my dud knees...
OMG that Big one with Kitchen I could live there for sure no Taxi Bills for Fun its just down the Stairs Awesome Job mate good Find Thank you

Suite looks fine and dandy for the price for those on a tight budget, thanks for sharing, regards from England 🍺🍺👍
Budget is OK if you don't mind being kept awake half the night by the noise, as I found out when I rented a room in soi Diane.

Some people who stay there are the ones making the noise!
