I bought a White Gretsch 5124 because of this man. He SHOULD be listed on the Gretsch site... In fact they should make a Martin Gore special like they did with Setzer.
I bought a 5126 silver sparkle Electromatic because of him, and adapted it with a few Gretsch parts. G-tail, space control bridge, grover tuners......My homage to Martin and glam rock all in one!
At his auction Alan Wilder sold a Gretsch Double Anniversary copy by Dick Knight, modified to feed back less. This went for £10,400, £11,960 with buyers premium.
Why the fuck is Martin Gore not listed on the "Gretsch" websites Artist section like other Gretsch players? His fav guitar is a vintage Gretsch Anni .........unbelievable!
Perhaps because his most iconic models seem to be quite more custom make (or discontinued vintage) than what Gretsch markets? (Or... they've asked to feature him, Martin said no?).
I Love when Martin plays the guitar. ❤️

He has an original '58 Annie in Cadillac green that never leaves his house. Too bloody valuable!

Cool! ..a 58, I thought he had an early 60's model, anyhow Martin and David Garza should be put on the Gretsch user list.
The small one is a Rambler and the "cats eye" is a Streamliner
