Never did I think there'd be a video for him. I fell in love with his Tome of Beasts stat block and just had to use him as a BBEG. Thank you so much! Your content always makes my day. Also, in case anyone would be interested in using him, I did make up some lair actions for Camazotz since I was personally disappointed that he lacked them (These still WIP, so some might be a bit unbalanced). Lair Actions: On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Camazotz can take a lair action to cause one of the following magical effects; Camazotz can't use the same effect two rounds in a row: - Camazotz summons a cloud of bats to swarm around him obscuring himself from his enemies. All ranged attacks made against Camazotz are made with disadvantage until initiative count 20. - Camazotz targets one creature who is below their max hit points within 30 feet of him. The target must make a DC18 Consitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target's wounds begin to fester and grow. Until initiative count 20 the creature has disadvantage on Consitution saving throws and when it takes either piercing or slashing damage, the attack deals an extra 2d6 of that damage type to the creature. - Camazotz ignites a unholy flame of life in the dead body of a fiend, undead, or bat-like creature he can see within 60 feet of him. The creature returns with its max hit points and takes its turn immidiatly after Camazotz in initiative. After each of the creature's turns, it must make a DC15 Consitution saving throw, on a failure the creature immediately dies, turning to ash and can't be targeted by this lair action again. On a success, the DC for the Consitution save increases by 2 for its next turn and the creature takes 2d6 fire damage as Camazotz's gift eats away at its body. This damage can't be negated in any way.
Nice. I’m afraid I haven’t thought about Camazotz a lot in my world though I do like the idea that he is the origin of Vampirism. I’ve got an oddly specific suggestion which is a monster based on the Medieval depiction of a Chameleon
This is excellent as usual, love your videos! This creature sounds like a heinous villain to have to deal with. It could be a really neat stand in for Dracula in a Castlevania style game. I hope your week goes well!
