Be careful and stay safe and keep on welding . As always, Jeffrey !!!

Thanks man! Yah it's a great feeling getting things just the way you want them and building things yourself with your hands just adds to that appreciation
Nice, Brandon. Quick tip, McMaster-Carr part number 6628K324 is an undersized 1144 steel 5/8" rod. A foot of it is just under $7. That and a pack of 5/8 ID washers welded on top of the cut pieces and you have your mounting stubs for about $0.75 each.
@@BrandonLund It doesn't cost anything to set up an account with McMaster-Carr or MSC industrial supply, so those are the first two places I set up my accounts with.
I had an account there about 15 years ago. I never thought about re opening it until you mentioned it. We have a distributor about an hour away. That place is dangerous to my wallet. Right on man! You don't need top of the line brand new stuff to have fun and make the task at hand much more enjoyable. Getting out there and doing it is half the battle. 👍
I had resigned myself to doing without your Fabrication Table because I can't afford to spend $300 plus for a magnetic drill and some annular cutters. When you mentioned renting the drill, it gave me hope! I don't even know if they rent them in Boise but I bet they do. Brandon, these clamps are awesome. I knew I saw this video last year, but a refresher is always good! I tried to source those shoulder bolts locally back then without much success on Amazon. I went looking again today. Best price I could find was $5.84 each! Worst price was $19.13 each!!!!! Our Princess Auto (very similar to Harbor Freight) Has a 24' x 36" fab table with the holes already drilled. It is only about 1/4" thick for $319.00. I think it will work for light fabrication stuff.
Thanks Fred, any time! I've noticed the 50% off coupons are getting harder to find but 3 bucks for a clamp doesn't break the bank so I didn't get too crazy trying to find a coupon.
So glad I found your channel a few months ago. I got my first mig. I got a Klutch 140. Built a cart for it with scraps I had. Ended up using the arc welder to assemble it. I picked up a new grinder and cut off saw at a pawnshop. I build tools/jigs a lot too. Love your videos.

To keep the slope and finger gap, offsetting the cut using a straight edge (or the speed square) pivoted around the fixed jaw's point of contact might have allowed you to maintain more of the adjustability range and bottom out at when the clamp is set at it's tightest rather than before. Never open the bottle all the way, you just need to crack it open barely !!! In saying that, great project! Been doing this exact thing for friggin years, save a shit load of cash!
Non flammable gas bottles have back sealing valves. For the valve to be seated it has to be opened fully Flammable gasses are the opposite. You open them a minimal amount so in the event there is a problem, the valve can be closed quickly.
@@BrandonLund I know, but I still do this with argon o2 mix anyway, there's 2000 plus psi in the bottle, you really don't need to open it all the way, ever, not for mig or tig! I've never run into gas starvation on non-flammable mixes! In a possible emergency, you're left closing the bottle for 10 plus seconds...
I don't think it's a matter of gas starvation, I think has to do with sealing the stem of the valve from gas leaking by. It's how I was taught so thats how I do it.
@@BrandonLund That's the thing isn't it, you're not doing the wrong thing as that's what you were taught, same goes here with me, was taught that it's not necessary to open the valve all the way. I think this is a case of different strokes for different folks!
Anytime brother. Honestly though, everything Fronius makes is best of the best top of the line. One viewer described it as the Ferrari and Rolls Royce of welders.
Well I heard the brand is like German or Austrian I know people over there don't mess around when it comes to Manufacturing. I've used Lincoln and Miller's small portable wire feeders but they always crap out on me. Based on everything I've heard this is the next brand to try, everyone talks wonders about it. Can't wait to get mines Thanks
You will love it. I think it's Austrian. Every welder is calibrated and certified with the date and who certified it before it leaves the facility. I cant say enough about mine. I love it. The stinger is laser engraved with a QR code as is a lot of the components to make things easy to replace parts. Fronius is next level.
Great video, I'll be making a couple of those, thanks for the tip. On a side note. Here is a tip for you. When recording, look into the camera not your image on the phone. The eyes will point in the right place

At 9:35, it kinda looks like the slope that was cut resulted in the jaw bottoming out prematurely and thus reducing maximum opening.
I fiddled with it and ground a little off the end where it pivots. They probably should have done that from the factory.

Thanks for watching Richard!
Would you recommend that transSteel 2200?
It is hands down the best welder you can buy. 100% I would. Its expensive but it's worth every penny.
@@BrandonLund thank you👍
Anytime brother.
Can't wait to get mines
Thanks
You will love it. I think it's Austrian. Every welder is calibrated and certified with the date and who certified it before it leaves the facility. I cant say enough about mine. I love it. The stinger is laser engraved with a QR code as is a lot of the components to make things easy to replace parts. Fronius is next level.
Great video, I'll be making a couple of those, thanks for the tip.
On a side note. Here is a tip for you. When recording, look into the camera not your image on the phone. The eyes will point in the right place
Thanks John!
Nice channel and videos. Thank you. Lund must be Swedish name 😊

@@BrandonLund You should. Sweden is awesome 😎
