Where Band-Maid are the queens of Rock, Lovebites are definitely the queens of Metal. I knew you'd both appreciate the superb musicianship on display. After 30+ years of watching men sweat and grimace over complex guitar work, it's so refreshing to see the same level of musicianship being performed in high heels and sparkly dresses by women with happy faces (Miyako, the guitarist on the right, is a happy person but her stage persona is generally unsmiling, but she's the exception). Between Band-Maid, Lovebites and The Warning I'm pretty content with my musical playlists! PS Asami always sings in English which is why there's no subtitles!
Hahahaha! Watching men grimace and sweat is exactly part of the reason why I didn't get into metal. I grew up during the Golden Era of punk rock (late 70's to early 80's and Metal (with all do respect) except a few bands just didn't do it for me. Until, I discovered the lovely Metal Queens and Pricesses of Japanese Metal. Starting with Babymetal. So refreshing! Smiling, having a great time, bring positivity, playfulness and hapiness in to the Metal world. Let's not forget the Japanese fans with their participation. I was into Punk in 76 and 77 but was already into Rock and Metal too (Sabbath was my first gig in 76 but in that same year I also saw Quo, Hawkwind, Bob Marley, The Clash and the Sex Pistols) but by the 90's it all sounded like inferior copies of bands I'd already seen with odd exceptions. Then I found Babymetal in 2016 and haven't looked West since (apart from The Warning, a female Rock trio - 3 sisters from Mexico - who I'm going to see live in April). They led me to Band-Maid,,,Lovebites...Asterism...Nemophila and many others from Japan. And now I'm very happy with my playlists!

At 72 years old I have traveled much of Europe to see metal concerts (and other genres) and I can say, in my opinion, these young women form the best group and the best twin guitars of the history of metal. This is from her first tour. Her name is Fami and she has her own followers from before Lovebites. A prodigy. The drummer is Haruna. She is very small and is rumored to be nuclear powered because she never stops her blinding fast drumming. Her placing of cymbals is top tier.

The blonde guitarist is Midori. She is also an avid body builder, even competes. The dark haired guitarist is Miyako. Miyako is also a very talented pianist. The singer is Asami. Prior to Lovebites her background was in R&B and soul. Fami (like family) is on the bass. Haruna is on drums. Interesting bit of trivia involving Haruna. She is one of the founding members of Lovebites (along with Miho, the original bassist) and founded the band after leaving a band called Destrose. Destrose in an important band in the female Japanese metal community, so many current and past bands have a direct link to Destrose. Saki, the guitarist from Nemophila (usually on the right of your screen) was also a member of Destrose. Some other bands to include members of Destrose include Mary’s Blood (Saki was also in this band), Fate Gear (a steampunk metal band), Mardelas, Disqualia, Aldious (through a guitarist named Narumi and Mari, a drummer), and Lonesome Blue, to name a few. You could spend months just going down a Destrose rabbit hole. Destrose is the Kevin Bacon of female Japanese metal. Like you said, they probably don’t need the qualifiers, but in this case it makes sense.

Miho played in DESTROSE until the band disbanded (DESTROSE's last concert took place in July 2015). Miho was the second longest serving member of DESTROSE, after Mina (founder and leader of DESTROSE). After DESTROSE, Miho played in several metal bands as a support bassist (guest). At the beginning of 2016, Miho decided to create her own band (the band of her dreams). She invited Haruna to her new band . We can say that thanks to Miho, Haruna returned to her professional music career. By and large, LOVEBITES came about thanks to Miho, who remained the leader and 'brains' of the band until her departure in August 2021.

I would not call Edge of the world a Ballad, yes it starts as a Ballad, but this is more a Theme song hence the Titel of the song, this song starts very slow like a ballad but this is more a intro how "bad "things in moment at the world or if you want in live are, you stay on the Edge and you struggle to not fall over the Edge, than it gets dramatic and tense as you fight to stay on the edge and than it seems you gain distance from the Edge, and in the end fought and prevail the upper hand and win against all odds so the song has 4 mood changes and this is what makes this song one of my absolute favorite It tells a story alone from the Musical Interlude .. This song is definitely not a Ballad.

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about the band: LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. You can enjoy good music even if you don't understand the language or the lyrics. English speakers have been spoiled in the last 50 years because almost 100% of the songs in the charts were in English. A friend recommended Lovebites to me some 3 years ago. I was dubious at first when I saw the thumbnails for their videos on RUclips, I thought they were going to be a J Pop band, but gave them a go. First song I heard from them was 'Winds of Transylvania' , the Vlad Love version. I think they are one of, if not the best, band I have ever heard in my 74 years. They revived an interest in the genre that I had somewhat lost in the 1990's. In many ways they are a reinvention of the 70'/80's British/European rock/metal bands I loved back then. A great performance. Please play We Are by Aldious with the blonde singer. They are reminisce of Judas Priest and Thin Lizzy. They also have a twin guitar attack. The don't seem to get the attention the Love Bites and Band Maid get. I have listened to various foreign language music. It's the music that has to appeal to first.

Asami, the lead singer, has joined Lzzy and Halestorm at the 2019 Download festival to perform that song. MIyako and Midori (blond pony tail) are IMO 2 of the best guitarists today. Haruna is a beast behind the drums. New bassist ,Fami (seen here), joined in Oct 2022, and she fits right in. Formed in 2016 by 2 ex- Destrose members, original bassist Miho ,and Haruna. They will tell you "we play heavy metal", some songs lean thrash, some lean power metal, and some ballads. Judgement Day is the title track ,and lead single, of the 4th album, released last year, first recorded with Fami. This show was Fami's live debut. This song, and the 2nd album single Stand an Deliver (Shoot 'em Down), both have bass intros, a 'here's our new bassist, this is what she can do' kind of intro. Asami, singer wrote the music and lyrics for "Judgement Day" She is also the primary lyricist. Plus a fairly new Mother and Wife. They are petite ladies, so they decided to wear White. This is due to Metal Stages being normally dark. White reflects light so by wearing White they stand out on the dark stage. For your wife, the blond guitarist is Midori. She left pharmacy school to become a musician at 20yo. She went to a vocational school where she also learned how to make guitars. A guitar she built is on display in a Tokyo shop, NOT for sale. Asami knew nothing about Metal music when she joined the band. She primary singing R&B, Jazz. One of the main reason she was selected is that she is English fluent. She is singing in English!! She rained as a ballerina, but there isn't much for 4'10" ballerinas so she became a singer. She is not the shortest member of the band. The newest member is Fami, bass. For the thrashier route, look for "Set The World On Fire", "Break The Wall", "Raise Some Hell", "The Hammer Of Wrath", "M.D.O.", etc. For Mrs. Coach use the "E" songs "Edge Of The World", "Epilogue", "Empty Daydream", plus "A FrozEn SErEnadE", and maybe "Rising [Acoustic Version]". We in the Wolfpack (Lovebite's fanbase) lovingly refer to them as M&M! They are one of the best dual-guitar tandems in the metal world, alongside Dave Murray and Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden), Glenn Tipton and KK Downing (ex-Judas Priest - well, partially "ex," as Glenn is still somewhat involved), Herman Li and Sam Totman (Dragonforce), and Saki and Hazuki (Nemophila).

Yes, these women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile proficient musicians. Those twin lead guitar solos by Miyako and Midori are already legendary, in just seven years. They are five of a kind. Their live performances are just outstanding. Some people say that they’re redefining metal or that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Can’t remember the first Babymetal video you did, will have to go back and watch it again, but I do remember Mrs C had a very similar disconnect to Band-Maid in regards to their appearance and the music they were playing. Holy War, Live at Zepp Divercity Tokyo 2020 is fast paced with great instrumentals and soaring vocals. If you would like some classical piano with another great song, try Swan Song (with Chopin intro) also from Live at Zepp Divercity Tokyo 2020. Another great song is Frozen Serenade, Live in Toyko 2021 (during the pandemic). There are so many great songs.
Even in the Japanese metal scene, "white" was considered taboo, and if you wore a white costume on stage, you risked being isolated and not accepted by those around you. Nevertheless, they dared to choose a feminine white stage costume and made the wolf the band's symbol, saying that they did not mind being treated like lone wolves. And their fans somehow came to call themselves the "Wolf Pack".
the instramental side of music is usually what gets me with music regardless where it is from you can generally tune out the lyrics and listen soley to the music. Lovebites, Bandmaid and alot of other japanese bands put a lot of soul into the actual music side of it.

Drummer Haruna is relentless like a metronome, both Miho and Fami master their bass (for Fami's capabilities, you should visit "Alien Alien" from my list, it's in her RUclips channel will almost 700K subscribers), the dual guitars M&M (for Midori and Miyako) is most certainly the best duo for trading guitar solos and harmonizing, and Asami's voice is stellar with big range, powerful belt and good vibrato. She is also a trained ballerina with exceptional stage presence. One reactor caller her "Stage General", which is perfectly put. Hard, tight, fast, relentless, effortless and clean, that's LOVEBITES. Where Band-Maid are the queens of Rock, Lovebites are definitely the queens of Metal. I knew you'd both appreciate the superb musicianship on display. After 30+ years of watching men sweat and grimace over complex guitar work, it's so refreshing to see the same level of musicianship being performed in high heels and sparkly dresses by women with happy faces (Miyako, the guitarist on the right, is a happy person but her stage persona is generally unsmiling, but she's the exception). Between Band-Maid, Lovebites and The Warning I'm pretty content with my musical playlists! PS Asami always sings in English which is why there's no subtitles!

Hahahaha! Watching men grimace and sweat is exactly part of the reason why I didn't get into metal. I grew up during the Golden Era of punk rock (late 70's to early 80's and Metal (with all do respect) except a few bands just didn't do it for me. Until, I discovered the lovely Metal Queens and Pricesses of Japanese Metal. Starting with Babymetal. So refreshing! Smiling, having a great time, bring positivity, playfulness and hapiness in to the Metal world. Let's not forget the Japanese fans with their participation. It all just brings joy and hapiness into the world. ❤️❤️❤️

I was into Punk in 76 and 77 but was already into Rock and Metal too (Sabbath was my first gig in 76 but in that same year I also saw Quo, Hawkwind, Bob Marley, The Clash and the Sex Pistols) but by the 90's it all sounded like inferior copies of bands I'd already seen with odd exceptions. Then I found Babymetal in 2016 and haven't looked West since (apart from The Warning, a female Rock trio - 3 sisters from Mexico - who I'm going to see live in April). They led me to Band-Maid,,,Lovebites...Asterism...Nemophila and many others from Japan. And now I'm very happy with my playlists!

The bassist is only 20 years old and she is totally new to the band. This is from her first tour. Her name is Fami and she has her own followers from before Lovebites. A prodigy.
The drummer is Haruna. She is very small and is rumored to be nuclear powered because she never stops her blinding fast drumming. Her placing of cymbals is top tier.

🐺Asami started with R&B and Soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started studying ballet at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs.
🐺Fami plays bass, keyboards, guitar, writes songs, sings. She has released solo Album, which she dedicated to graduating from school.

These ladies are world class musicians and they are taking heavy metal to another level. They are also the best live band; flawless and effortless.
The blonde guitarist is Midori. She is also an avid body builder, even competes. The dark haired guitarist is Miyako. Miyako is also a very talented pianist. The singer is Asami. Prior to Lovebites her background was in R&B and soul. Fami (like family) is on the bass. Haruna is on drums. Interesting bit of trivia involving Haruna. She is one of the founding members of Lovebites (along with Miho, the original bassist) and founded the band after leaving a band called Destrose. Destrose in an important band in the female Japanese metal community, so many current and past bands have a direct link to Destrose. Saki, the guitarist from Nemophila (usually on the right of your screen) was also a member of Destrose. Some other bands to include members of Destrose include Mary’s Blood (Saki was also in this band), Fate Gear (a steampunk metal band), Mardelas, Disqualia, Aldious (through a guitarist named Narumi and Mari, a drummer), and Lonesome Blue, to name a few. You could spend months just going down a Destrose rabbit hole. Destrose is the Kevin Bacon of female Japanese metal. Like you said, they probably don’t need the qualifiers, but in this case it makes sense.

Sorry. Small clarification.🤗 At her last concert with DESTROSE (December 2014), Haruna announced that she was leaving the music industry. Miho played in DESTROSE until the band disbanded (DESTROSE's last concert took place in July 2015). Miho was the second longest serving member of DESTROSE, after Mina (founder and leader of DESTROSE). After DESTROSE, Miho played in several metal bands as a support bassist (guest). At the beginning of 2016, Miho decided to create her own band (the band of her dreams). She invited Haruna to her new band . We can say that thanks to Miho, Haruna returned to her professional music career. By and large, LOVEBITES came about thanks to Miho, who remained the leader and 'brains' of the band until her departure in August 2021.
Even Hazuki from Nemophila had a connection to Destrose prior to Nemophila, as she was in the band Disqualia (who you mentioned).

I would not call Edge of the world a Ballad, yes it starts as a Ballad, but this is more a Theme song hence the Titel of the song, this song starts very slow like a ballad but this is more a intro how "bad "things in moment at the world or if you want in live are, you stay on the Edge and you struggle to not fall over the Edge, than it gets dramatic and tense as you fight to stay on the edge and than it seems you gain distance from the Edge, and in the end fought and prevail the upper hand and win against all odds so the song has 4 mood changes and this is what makes this song one of my absolute favorite It tells a story alone from the Musical Interlude .. This song is definitely not a Ballad.

Here some information about the band:
LOVEBITES are around since 2016 and their first EP and album came out in 2017. At this point they have already released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of live DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.

Has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, also she is a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, she loves her pets and Star Wars

Best drummer in the universe (IMO), wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food

Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop

You can enjoy good music even if you don't understand the language or the lyrics. English speakers have been spoiled in the last 50 years because almost 100% of the songs in the charts were in English. The rest of the world has always had to live with not understanding anything or not understanding everything. So the non-English speaking world has learned a lot and the English speaking world has stood still. As for Lovebites, they sing in English, but with an accent. If you listen to them a lot, your brain will get used to it and then you will understand them. Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in

In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. A friend recommended Lovebites to me some 3 years ago. I was dubious at first when I saw the thumbnails for their videos on RUclips, I thought they were going to be a J Pop band, but gave them a go. First song I heard from them was 'Winds of Transylvania' , the Vlad Love version. I think they are one of, if not the best, band I have ever heard in my 74 years. They revived an interest in the genre that I had somewhat lost in the 1990's. In many ways they are a reinvention of the 70'/80's British/European rock/metal bands I loved back then. Do please try more of their songs, if you liked this, you will not be disappointed. I'm going to see them in London next June 😃🐺 welcome to the Wolfpack.

A great performance. Please play We Are by Aldious with the blonde singer. They are reminisce of Judas Priest and Thin Lizzy. They also have a twin guitar attack. The don't seem to get the attention the Love Bites and Band Maid get.

Welcome to the Wolfpack. 🐺. Named after the Grammy winning Halestorm song, Love Bites (So Do I). Asami, the lead singer, has joined Lzzy and Halestorm at the 2019 Download festival to perform that song. MIyako and Midori (blond pony tail) are IMO 2 of the best guitarists today. Haruna is a beast behind the drums. New bassist ,Fami (seen here), joined in Oct 2022, and she fits right in. Formed in 2016 by 2 ex- Destrose members, original bassist Miho ,and Haruna. They will tell you "we play heavy metal", some songs lean thrash, some lean power metal, and some ballads.
Judgement Day is the title track ,and lead single, of the 4th album, released last year, first recorded with Fami. This show was Fami's live debut. This song, and the 2nd album single Stand an Deliver (Shoot 'em Down), both have bass intros, a 'here's our new bassist, this is what she can do' kind of intro. To meet Miho, here's a few songs from the Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 concert to watch: "Holy War", "Break the Wall", "Thunder Vengeance", and "Swan Song" with a Chopin piano intro played by Miyako.
Asami, singer wrote the music and lyrics for "Judgement Day" She is also the primary lyricist. Plus a fairly new Mother and Wife.
They are petite ladies, so they decided to wear White. This is due to Metal Stages being normally dark. White reflects light so by wearing White they stand out on the dark stage.
For your wife, the blond guitarist is Midori. She left pharmacy school to become a musician at 20yo. She went to a vocational school where she also learned how to make guitars. A guitar she built is on display in a Tokyo shop, NOT for sale.
Asami knew nothing about Metal music when she joined the band. She primary singing R&B, Jazz. One of the main reason she was selected is that she is English fluent. She is singing in English!! She rained as a ballerina, but there isn't much for 4'10" ballerinas so she became a singer. She is not the shortest member of the band.
The newest member is Fami, bass. This was her first time playing in a band and her first major concert.

Don't let the guitars distract you from the obvious! They are all 5 over the top musicians! You've mentioned Asami's voice, but don't forget Haruna's drumming and Fami's bass!
For the thrashier route, look for "Set The World On Fire", "Break The Wall", "Raise Some Hell", "The Hammer Of Wrath", "M.D.O.", etc.
For Mrs. Coach use the "E" songs "Edge Of The World", "Epilogue", "Empty Daydream", plus "A FrozEn SErEnadE", and maybe "Rising [Acoustic Version]".

The blonde guitarist that Mrs. Coach was asking about is Midori Tatematsu. The other guitarist is Miyako Watanabe (who is also a world-class concert pianist). We in the Wolfpack (Lovebite's fanbase) lovingly refer to them as M&M! They are one of the best dual-guitar tandems in the metal world, alongside Dave Murray and Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden), Glenn Tipton and KK Downing (ex-Judas Priest - well, partially "ex," as Glenn is still somewhat involved), Herman Li and Sam Totman (Dragonforce), and Saki and Hazuki (Nemophila).
Btw, Lovebites is coming to America for the first time this fall in Sept. I'm just waiting on the announcement to buy tickets.

Yes, these women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile proficient musicians. Those twin lead guitar solos by Miyako and Midori are already legendary, in just seven years. They are five of a kind. Their live performances are just outstanding. Some people say that they’re redefining metal or that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Can’t remember the first Babymetal video you did, will have to go back and watch it again, but I do remember Mrs C had a very similar disconnect to Band-Maid in regards to their appearance and the music they were playing. Sometimes it just takes a couple viewings for it to sink in lol. Love both of these bands as well as Nemophila, happy to see they are coming soon too. Lovebites guitarists go hard everytime
the instramental side of music is usually what gets me with music regardless where it is from you can generally tune out the lyrics and listen soley to the music. Lovebites, Bandmaid and alot of other japanese bands put a lot of soul into the actual music side of it.
All song from this band are amazing if you want a metal ballade you can hear Empty Daydream- Edge Of The World" and Epilogue " you can really hear the skills of those ladies but all songs are different and Amazing and different , I loved your face full surprise when you first hear them becouse you dont expect that sound and that voice from the singher Asami. If you feel like hear the crazy croud do it MDO from the same concert of Judgement Day [Live From Knockin' On Heaven's Gate].
