Now that you've seen this, pull up the live version and watch it. Yes, they can recreate this live! Always, but always, seek out the live versions. If you want a 10 out of 10, go for Frozen Serenade. Arrangement, a 10, it's a freakin' masterpiece. Electric guitar solo , acoustic guitar solo, ballet dancing by Asami, slow tempo, up tempo, piano playing. This song rivals a 2013 Wacken Nightwish production! A Frozen Serenade live. If you aren't familiar with the comparison, pull up Ghost Love Story live at Wacken 2013.
Comparing what Nightwish produces with the creativity of Love bites is like comparing cheap plastic jewelry with real jewelry. How can you put next to musicians who practically do not know how to play instruments (Nightwish of the first composition) and a group of elite musicians, world-level virtuosos (Lovebites). Nightwish is, in its own way, a phenomenal band. The first vocalist - the only real musician in the group (has two higher musical education) provided 98% of their popularity and commercial success. After they broke up with her, they released only four mediocre albums in 18 years. The most overrated and promoted group in the world. All they have is a good female vocals and a good drummer (in the new line-up). Everything else is an orchestral soundtrack made to order by a professional symphony or philharmonic orchestra without the participation of the Nightwish musicians themselves at all.
Wow, I wonder if you hate Nightwish! I based my comparison on the 2013 Wacken concert footage, that I've seen. Nightwish's compositions were epic back then, to say the least. Obviously, for Rockin Roundtable to give a ten out of ten, they are looking for more than just great musicianship, otherwise they would have given this song a ten out of ten. I think a great composition, along with the skill, will do it for them, hence A Frozen Serenade. Nightwish, regardless of who arranges their music, had some of the most awesome compositions during that era. Are they better musicians, no, but their compositions were, without a doubt, epic! For anyone's compositions today, to be compared with Nightwish of 2013, is a major complement. I'm a 62 year old, former professional guitarist, songwriter and producer. I've seen some great musical success in my life. My opinion isn't the end all, but I've never blown smoke up anyone's ass. If I thought it was good, you can bet 90% of the managers, artist, publishers and executives thought it was good, as well. I don't know why Nightwish rubs you the wrong way, but most people that hear any of the songs, from that concert, would agree with me. However, I will, at the very least, edit my comment to include the concert footage I was referencing. One other observation concerning your comment, are you aware that Lovebites also uses orchestral, synth, guitar and piano backing tracks, as well as an outside composer named Mio (Mao). Are you now, equally bias against them?
@@fultonbenjamin9022 I know enough about the history of Nightwish and have seen all their live performances (including 2013 Wacken), with the exception of the most recent. And the first thing that always come to mind was how badly they play. Is epicness possible with such a low level of performance skill? Quite possible, it all depends on the listener. To undemanding listeners (teenagers), and they were the main consumers of Nightwish music, the product of mass culture seems to be an epic work. The popularity and commercial success of the band is due precisely to the fact that its music was simple and understandable to this audience. I'm sorry, but I don't share your point of view and I don't see anything epic in Nightwish's compositions. Sometimes I see pomposity and pathos. In vocal parts and orchestral arrangement. And there is nothing else in Nightwish's work worthy of attention. Of course I know that Love bites use synth and piano backing tracks, which they record themselves, perhaps sometimes with the participation of Mao (not Mio).
@@dymyavalor6135 I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, at least about what I know, Wacken 2013. Personally, I was blown away by at least two of the songs circulating on the internet, Ghost Love Story, and Storytime. Granted, the vocals were the biggest part, but for me, the arrangements were epic, and I do consider myself a demanding listener. However, some people like opera, and others like rap. Neither is wrong in their belief that what they listen to sounds great. Beautiful music is in the ear of the beholder. While I disagree, I certainly can see it from your point of view. Nightwish's music "is" tailored for a younger audience, and from what I saw in the 2013 crowd, they were definitely their main consumers. Thank you for correcting me on Lovebites co-writer and composer, Mao. I'll change the name in my comment.
@@fultonbenjamin9022 You probably meant Ghost Love Score. The audience at Waken 2013 is already older, grew up with the group. There were teenagers at the early concerts. I listen to progressive rock and metal, jazz rock and just jazz, classical music. And I collect recordings of concert performances in high quality. Therefore, first of all I pay attention to the musicians. As a rule, good musicians show their skills at concert releases, and engineers record it in a video sequence. When I first saw Nightwish perform, it was a big disappointment. The approach was the opposite. If it was possible, they tried to show anything, just to avoid a real demonstration of the musicians. Nevertheless, mediocre bass and drums, a very weak guitar could not be hidden. As for the keys, it is more difficult to understand, the orchestral soundtrack covers everything. I suspected deception and conducted a little research concerning the history of the group, its members and the products released. I think there is hardly a convincing video of a Nightwish keyboard player playing on the Internet. Basically, it's no more than a few seconds of showing a very simple game. The history of the group and the biographies of the participants do not refute these suspicions, rather, on the contrary, they aggravate them. Moreover, I read in a book about Nightwish that from the very beginning of their existence they used phonograms of keyboard parts and even guitars at concerts. Can musicians who don't know the instrument well make a good arrangement themselves? I think not.

This band is just something else. I’m a Maiden fan since the 80s as well as fan of Anthrax, Metallica, Slayer, Nightwish, and so on. Lovebites is just all of them in a really magic pocket 🐺🤘🏻 Forget about the rating. The bar will change at every video! 😂
Two years hiatus, no live performing, losing their founder, two of them having babies, a pandemic, lots of doubts--and this is the first thing they dropped. Clearly a statement.
Maybe it's just me, but I never had any doubts about LOVEBITES in any way. When Miho left, they immediately said they're going on hiatus but would come back. I believed them, and that belief was further cemented by the "Nameless Warrior" video. I always knew they were coming back, the only question for me was when and who with.
And during hiatus and pandemic, when so many people become unsecure, frustrated and nervous, Lovebites dropped "Stand and deliver", to spread encouragement, smiles and laughter. 😊I will never forget that. And I could not be prouder of them. 🐺
great reaction folks. These ladies are world class talents. Please continue to react and supporting Lovebites. They don't know how to write bad song. Their lyrics are so uplifting and inspirng. These ladies are the savior of heavy metal.
Usually, there is no higher cathegory than "excellent" or "brilliant". But Lovebites simply started it: Watch this song *live* . 😊 Like their song "When destinies align". It is already brilliant/excellent as official video. But it is *heavenly* _live_ . 😊 Up the Irons, and long live Lovebites! 😊🐺 And Nemophila, of course. 😊💮
This band so powerfull in every parts, fast, tight, rolling without brake, Iron Maiden is they idol, I suggest you check Swan Song, how Miyako play amazing Chopin, thank you reacting Lovebites, tons to go 👍👍👌
Wait until you see them live! Japan is overflowing with a very high level of musically skilled female musicians making all the best Metal and Rock for the 21st century. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Babymetal, Nemophila, Asterism, Hanabie...the list goes on. And they all kill it live. In heels and with smiles.
Every Lovebites song becomes your favorite! This is the rule. All their songs are perfect. If you want more "Judgement day" you can watch their live version on their official RUclips channel! And of course you need to react to their song "Swan song with Chopin intro" (not on their RUclips channel). This is another side of Lovebites. Thank you for the reaction. More Lovebites on the channel.

Ya, this was the way you show you are back from your hiatus! They came back better than ever and this proved that Fami (bass) was the right choice to replace the former bass player.
Thank you for showcasing LOVEBITES, which can only help them get new fans. Numbering approximately 60, I can assure you that the entire LOVEBITES catalogue is on a par with the three songs you’ve seen so far. So that’s the backlog. Enjoy!
I can suggest You two ballads like Edge of the World or Epilogue, or Swan song+Chopin revolutionary etude intro or Frozen Serenade, but always live, please, because it's better! Thank you!
The title of this song, "Judgment Day," has little religious significance. After months of open auditions for a bass guitarist, the band chose FAMI, then a 20-year-old college student, from among hundreds of applicants. She is also a RUclips star with over 650,000 subscribers. However, some fans were concerned about her lack of band experience and the fact that she had never played metal songs on her channel. So they decided to let all their fans listen to the new album and judge the reborn LOVEBITES, and titled the album "Judgement Day".
This song is awesome live. Keep it going, tip of the iceberg with these ladies. It's amazing that they are all 4.9 to 5.2 tall. Their personas are like 6 ft amazons. FYI Best beard I've seen in a long time.
Always here for LOVEBITES. So excited for the future releases by them and until then I'll just keep experiencing them here and on my sound & vision systems.
Now you've reacted to three Power Metal(ish) songs from LOVEBITES, you need to react to one of their thrash songs. Here's a recent live video of them performing "Hammer of Wrath", which is one of their thrashier songs.
many of us are VERY envious of you . discovering LOVEBITES is like finding a new planet or something. and they are definitely on their own planet. been with them from the very start in 2016 because a lot of us were fans of DESTROSE - the previous girl's metal band of drummer haruna and the departed bassist miho who you saw in 'holy war' live in your first reaction. DESTROSE - 2005 -2015 - was a groundbreaking band because all female metal bands were in their infancy in japan in '05. then they disbanded and it became known that haruna and miho were starting what turns out to be THE best female band to ever exist. the 2 guitarists were also veterans of metal bands. they added the one and only voice - vocalist asami - and voila - they should rule the world - they rule mine ! almnost every song may become your new favorite
Great reaction!! As many have already suggested, please react to “A Frozen Serenade 2021 LIVE in Tokyo with lyrics” and the 10 score will get assigned right-away!!
I get the Iron Maiden vibes, but also Nightwish. I actually want to hear Floor Jansen try it when she's back from Materity leave, as I know Asami is a fan. 😉 💜
The problem you'll probably have with lovebites is frustration, when even the least popular songs seem better than most bands best songs, sounds like crazy fan boy talk, and maybe it is, but I haven't heard anything less than good by them and too many masterpieces for any 1 band, and they only have 60.🤘🎤🥁🎹🎸🐺.you should check out the live version of this, its even better
"Unfortunately", you are right. I am a die-hard Iron Maiden fan for almost 40 years now, and I always thought, that some masterpieces are just appropriate for such an outstanding band like Iron Maiden. And Iron Maiden are actually groundbreaking, giants of Metal, and they actually produced several serious masterpieces of Metal! Then I got to know Lovebites about 3 months ago, and... OMG! Not just _several_ masterpieces, but _umpteen_ ...! That was so unreal... And they are still so young... Now I had to broaden my Metal horizon a little bit: Iron Maiden, Lovebites, Nemophila. 😁 🐺💮
@@jawosammadennhier7062 Ace's high cover by nemophila is an awesome one, Rattii is another, nemophila are top level musicians and I love Mayu's voice. but Asami is not just the one and only voice, her stage presence is mesmerising and off the charts, and a band of virtuoso musicians behind her makes them a level above another level, just my opinion, might be a little biased but what can I say lol🤘🎤🥁🎹🎸🐺
@@gordonnottsfinest180 From Iron Maiden I like the creative diversity of the arrangements and the sounds of their songs. (Fear of the dark, Paschendale, Face in the sand, Empire of the clouds: All different.) And the theatrical vibe of their live shows (Bruce's masks, clothings, their stage backdrops). Concerning Lovebites, I like their symphonic sound, their "arty" clothings, paired with their clear-sounding Metal. Concerning Nemophila, I just love their clothings and their "punky" Metal sound, and the voice of Mayu (be it clear or growling). All are masters/mistresses of their craft.
@@jawosammadennhier7062 The creativity and technical arrangements we see today shows who most of their influence came from, Miho was a huge iron maiden fan, I think that's why Asami was the obvious choice for them, a lot of people see her as a female Bruce Dickenson, and of course the twin lead guitars, M&M are both world class but as a duo they're easily the best in the world today. And as for Haruna, she is flawless and never misses a single beat Amazing! Once they have started the tour I think they'll be confirmed as one of the greats.
@@gordonnottsfinest180 Yes, the influences on Lovebites from other bands they appreciate are obvious: Iron Maiden, Helloween, Slayer, Motörhead... The crazy thing for me personally: Whenever I heard Slayer or Motörhead, I did not like them. But when Lovebites sound like them, it sounds just great for me. 😂 I always thought, that I have an extremely specific taste of Metal. Since appreciating Lovebites music (who include many Metal subsections in their songs), I am not so sure anymore. Supposedly I much more "tolerant" towards Metal subsections than I thought. 😉 Concerning Haruna, she clearly belongs to the global drummers' elite in my opinion. I always say, that I have four favorite drummers whom I adore technically: Nicko McBrain, Daniel Löble (Helloween), Haruna, and Murata Tamu (Nemophila). All of them just _command_ their drums, and they all can also play their sets _silently_ (which is much more difficult than playing it loud). And I find the joy of Nicko McBrain, Haruna and Murata Tamu amazing, when any camera catches them. 😊
Keep going !! There’s more mind-blowing videos, mv or live!! To me , live is better, you should have headphones, to really hear next level music that these ladies play!! Phenomenal, IMO!!🔥🤘🐺🤘
Request for you guys to react both on LOVEBITES MV/LIVE songs JUDGEMENT DAY, WHEN DESTINIES ALIGN, SHADOW MAKER, GLORY TO THE WORLD, WINDS OF TRANSYLVANIA, SCREAM FOR ME, and compare the sounds from MV and LIVE.... 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

The new album did bring a certain edge with it. A lot has been said about the transition from Miho to Fami (I believe all respected by the fans) but there was a subtle shift in the dynamic by doing this - something which happens to any band that undergoes any change of personnel. Another track which capably demonstrates this is "Dissonance", an album track as opposed to live or music video, but is well worth checking out as a sample of what seems to have bloomed. I haven't seen the new live DVD/bluray so I can't comment too much on what Fami has brought to the back catalogue, although the couple of back tracks I have seen from the show seem to show that same tilt. Great stuff!
You two should take a trip to India. Yes India has metal bands. Look up Bloodywood. They are a folk metal band from New Delhi and they sing in both English and Hindi. Check out their song, Aaj.
Good morning Shay and Mattias. Good reaction, my suggest next if you're want to see the brutality Lovebites in stage please check out SOLDIER STANDS SOLITARILY live version 2023. Greeting from Jogjakarta, Indonesia
What a terrible reaction. I mean really, to be afraid of giving a 10 because questioning if a 10 exists? Your ears are the criteria. 9.5? 9.0? Horrible ratings. 🤪 🤣Ok, now that I got being defensive out of the way, great reaction. I only joked defensively because this song right here is, after 50+ years of listening to metal, my all-time favorite song by any band, ever. It's a perfect 10 to me. Everything about this song hits every single chord with me. I've never heard a better solo run before, and solo runs have always been a favorite of mine, being that I love thrash/speed. You should check out the live version, because when you listen to the studio version you wonder could they pull this off live. Well, they do, but for me the studio version is just a tad better.Ok

And they perform live even better if you can imagine that..Lovebites Metal Goddesses !
Thanks for a great reaction. Just started listening to Lovebites two months ago, and I want to hear more all the time.
Do you already know Nemophila? They seem like the sisters or cousins of Lovebites to me.
I have heard them too. A US tour of both together would be great.@@jawosammadennhier7062

Wolfpack is here for more LOVEBITES! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Always here for LOVEBITES. So excited for the future releases by them and until then I'll just keep experiencing them here and on my sound & vision systems.
Listen to the covers of Pain Killer and Eagles fly free.....tack och hej från Uppsala
Rock On Ostra Aros 🤘Tack!
Now you've reacted to three Power Metal(ish) songs from LOVEBITES, you need to react to one of their thrash songs. Here's a recent live video of them performing "Hammer of Wrath", which is one of their thrashier songs.
"This was probably the best song I've heard so far by them."
I predict that you will say this after _every_ Lovebites song you will hear.
Typical Lovebites. 🤷♂
I like LOVEBITES as much as the next guy, but I would say the next stop is Band-Maid so you can hear all of the great Japanese female bands.😊
I can't wait to see your reaction to glory to the world. Thank you for your genuine reaction. 🙏
There's a song from this album with no video, but I think you'll love it. It's called Dissonance. It's exactly what you think. Check it out.
many of us are VERY envious of you . discovering LOVEBITES is like finding a new planet or something. and they are definitely on their own planet. been with them from the very start in 2016 because a lot of us were fans of DESTROSE - the previous girl's metal band of drummer haruna and the departed bassist miho who you saw in 'holy war' live in your first reaction.
Concerning Haruna, she clearly belongs to the global drummers' elite in my opinion.
Next painkiller cover of judas
Request for you guys to react both on LOVEBITES MV/LIVE songs JUDGEMENT DAY, WHEN DESTINIES ALIGN, SHADOW MAKER, GLORY TO THE WORLD, WINDS OF TRANSYLVANIA, SCREAM FOR ME, and compare the sounds from MV and LIVE.... 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Love it kicking ass in dresses and heels need more chicks in metal bands so much talent at a young age killing it Rock on
This band really know how to write, play & perform @ the highest level & my tip for a 10 is A Frozen Serenade live
Regards Wolfpack UK 🐺🤘🎸🎤🥁🎶🤯
Hi, MATTIAS, SHAY🤘🐺🤘
The reaction was very good👍

I'm rooting for you from Japan🇯🇵Both of you, Please take care of yourself and do your best💪
🤘🤘🤘🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If I may, I advise you to react to "Frozen Serenade" which is, for me and many others, their absolute masterpiece.
should have reacted to the Live show
You two should take a trip to India. Yes India has metal bands. Look up Bloodywood. They are a folk metal band from New Delhi and they sing in both English and Hindi. Check out their song, Aaj.
🤘🐺🔥
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘❤❤❤❤❤🔥
Good morning Shay and Mattias. Good reaction, my suggest next if you're want to see the brutality Lovebites in stage please check out SOLDIER STANDS SOLITARILY live version 2023. Greeting from Jogjakarta, Indonesia
0:18 Shay and Mattias.
Next song: *Break the Wall*
What a terrible reaction. I mean really, to be afraid of giving a 10 because questioning if a 10 exists? Your ears are the criteria. 9.5? 9.0? Horrible ratings. 🤪
🤣Ok, now that I got being defensive out of the way, great reaction.
The live is so much better 😈🇧🇻
CAN YOU PLEASE REACT TO BAND-MAID: "WHY WHY WHY" DAY OF THE MAID PERFORMANCE?
Hey Max.. How's it going..
this song is just like Yngiwe.....so BORING
🤘🤘
