Now you have met the new bassist ,Fami. She joined in Oct 2022. original bassist ,Miho, left in 2021. The bass parts ,I believe were written before Fami joined, but she brought her style. Lead singer ,Asami, joined Halestorm at Download 2019 to perform Love Bites(So Do I), the song the band is named after. Not just 45 minutes, they play that intense for 2 hour shows. Besides power metal, they have songs that are more thrash. For that , try Break the Wall or Thunder Vengeance. And to see Miyako's piano skills, watch Swan Song with Chopin piano intro. All 3 songs were played at the same show as the Holy War video you watched, Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020.
Good call on influences. They draw on a wide range of influences, from Beethoven, Chopin and Rachmaninoff to Purple, Sabbath, Rainbow, Metallica, Slayer, Dragonforce, and many more. Thanks for coming back to Lovebites and showing your friend.
Awesome reaction! They are actually named for the Halestorm song. I'm an old 80's metal head and have been blown away by these ladies since I stumbled across Break the Wall a couple of years ago.
I think you have to react to more of these girls' songs.they have some amazing live performances and you will notice the speed that these girls have with their guitars live.there you will appreciate the enormous talent of these 5 girls.
Thanks for the reaction. Midori (blond, guitar) is an active athlete. She performs at competitions. At her first competition in Japan (July 2022), she took 6th place (reached the final). At the second competition (October 2022), Midori placed #2 (medal). I congratulate you also a record ! Your reaction to the song LOVEBITES "Holy War" (May 3, 2022) became the champion of your channel. At the moment, the song has received 19,745 views. Absolute record for views (#1). More than reactions to other bands and other artists that you have ever done on your channel.
12:02 Its not that part of the song sound like Gates of Babylon by Rainbow, rather there is a specific musical scale sometimes used by musicians. Steve Harris also used it for Powerslave and Alexander the Great.
Exactly! I was looking for the name of the range that this passage reminded me of, thank you! And... if you had to stop every time you spotted that a band or a composer was using one of the thousands of scales ... that's the basis of harmony, not plagiarism or 'heavy' borrowing!
Asami vs. The Army of Darkness Considering what's happening in the video, it's kind of funny that the arcade cab behind you is Magic Sword. I don't know many fans of Magic Sword, so it's nice to see it.
Dude got hooked on Midori in about 30 seconds. 😆 Yeah, most of us are certainly familiar with Dio and Rainbow. Lovebites music pulls from many influences. I hear Maiden, Priest, Helloween, Metallica, Symphony X, and many other bands in their music. Lovebites can do it all.
For their live music, the 2020 Five of a Kind Concert is really great. Great intro to the concert and the encore and the band goes non-stop from beginning to end. You could check out the bands reaction videos to their own songs from the new album. The last song, Soldier Stands Solidarity is probably one of their fastest songs. Also, their name comes from Hailstorms song, Lovebites and so Do I. The band sang the song and really liked it and named themselves after the song. Asami, the singer, got to sing that song with Hailstorm in the U.K.. There is a video of that performance as well.
About the sword thing, they have done samurai style, complete with the katanas, in their MV for "When Destinies Align". You should check it out. Thanks for coming back to our ladies in white, and a nice reaction also. Cheers!! 🔥🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼🔥
I would recommend "Scream For Me", a great but underrated track that has killer guitar through out between Midori and Miyoki. The version from the "Live From Abyss" rehearsal stream has a better mix then the live concert version and that last minute and half solo "battle" between Miyako and Midori is so impressively clean. In fact that entire DVD has some of the best live music recorded by Lovebites. And one thing about Miyako. She makes it look easy, but she puts in a LOT of practice time on piano and guitar. She's very humble in her abilities also, always thinking she can be better and always looking to be challenged. The most amazing part is how accessible she is with fans. I've personally been surprised to get a direct response from her over a random comment on her socials (she works hard too on improving her English). She even spent over 4 hours straight shouting out fans on a live stream record signing, thanking each individual as she signed their copy of her personal EP. Her personality is actually a lot warmer and more bubbly than it sometimes comes across in the Lovebites videos. Finally, the more you listen to Lovebites the more you'll notice how Miyako's approach to composition is more comparable to classic songwriters than it is to the uncreative "pop hits" writers in popular western music. Japan as a whole has some of the most talented and refreshing songwriters around imo.
Three hours after," next person is fami, it's not like that." "It's really fami.“ "oh, I didn't know fami's real name. I thought it would be a bad idea to ask her what her real name. fami, your real name is so cute."
Miyako (black haired guitarist) who writes a decent amount of their songs mentioned that her mom would play Rainbow albums to her when she was little. So it's definitely one of her bigger infuences.
I liked your reaction to the previous song and this. I have a slight hunch that they would chisel their name in the history of metal music? This band has started from the personal idea of the former bassist Miho and soon the drummer Haruna joined. Their intensive search successfully ended up with finding two marvelous guitarists Midori and Miyako. Miyako has a classic piano background, and has graduated from an elite guitar school. Midori is also from the same school. The main vocal Asami was found when she was doing a back vocalist of famous singers, however at that time she had NO idea what is the Metal music all about. After Miho, a founder of the band, has quit, a huge shock to them!, they auditioned and selected a 20 years old bassist Fami, who had already been famous in bass on You Tube in her high school. You and I also were impressed with the guitars, but it is worth while focusing on the bass line in the guitar solos. To me it sounds like pounding heart beat of dangerous beasts. Ah I should not forget to mention that each of Asami and Miyako has a cute baby, so they are super cool moms! This week Miyako has released a piano cover version of ‘Eagle fly free’ of Halloween. But I would believe if someone tells that is from the newly discovered Score of Chopin. So beautiful and perfect. If you have not heard, I recommend the live version of Break the wall. But I am 100% sure other people recommend more cool songs. Too long, will shut up, LOLO
Yeah! This reaction was very cool and funny! Please, invite your friend more! Of course, I always suggest their live videos. But if you want katanas try their music video "When destinies align". Thank you for the reaction. More Lovebites on the channel!

Thanks for coming back to LOVEBITES. Their follow-up Music Video is quite drastic change of song-style & video-presentation, giving a 'hint' of how wide their 'spectrum' is. Miyako's "Eagle Fly Free" solo piano arrangement is a dynamic 'window' into a major contributor to LOVEBITES music & arrangements, as well as guitar, 'keys' & backing vocals. "Stand & Deliver" MV 2023: ruclips.net/video/4ImGA7cPyrs/видео.html Miyako also wrote this music, Asami the lyrics. It has [cc] (all songs are English) 🐺
It's funny now; what I mean is that you can listen to LoveBites now and actually pick out the influences straight away. As we've seen with their first 3 albums, the EPs, and the live shows, you can clearly hear the Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, and Testament influences in each of the songs played. In the case of Judgement Day, the influence here is clearly Yngwie Malmsteen. Two of Midori's runs come straight out of Black Star. And given Miyako's piano EP coming out covering Far Beyond the Sun, it's clear that she's a fan of Malmsteen as well. As also mentioned, you're being introduced to Fami as well, who is the new bass player. Miho left the band amicably, most likely due to personal/familial reasons (If I remember correctly, her father passed away recently), so no one begrudges her on her decision. But Fami is a phenomenal player, who got the job from a worldwide audition, and is a perfect fit for the ladies. Granted this is a music video, so anything can be done in pre and post-production, so if you want to really see how they throw down, check out their entire Five of a Kind concert from Zepp DiverCity, in Tokyo. That show is phenomenal.
For sheer power enjoyment, try Breaking the Wall. You won't regret it! For classical background confirmation, try Swan Song with the Chopin intro. Classical piano combined with metal.
Their singes has really put in the effort in the past few years, she sounds so much better than ever before. Don't understand me wrong, i always liked her singing, but one could hear that English wasn't her strongest language... but this... holy damn... this is something else. She's also done progress on her head voice and high belts... they're much more relaxed now and she seems to have more range.
Finally! Someone says something about the freaking sword! Haruna is the Drummer and one of the original founders. Miho was the Bassist and the other founder, who has resigned from Lovebites to pursue other interests. The Band took a year off to find Miho's replacement, and this video is the title song of their newest album "Judgement Day". Fami (Fah-mee) is Miho's replacement and she is phenomenal in her own right and just 20 in this video, I believe. Fami has her own channel on YT (Note: check out her cover of "Alien Alien", link: ruclips.net/video/Q_UqztwYAOU/видео.htmlsi=yd0hq_zDAuIDu2wl Watch closely about the 20 second mark! Anyway, Midori is a competitive bodybuilder or fitness model. She is the one with the "blond" hair. And dude, considering the size your arms, I really take issue with you misidentifying muscle groups... Midori's forearms, biceps, triceps, and deltoids are quite defined, although not cut to the point of striations being visible. Her quads and hamstrings are in excellent shape as well. Midori is one of two LEAD guitarists. Miyako, is the other lady, with black beyond waist length hair, that is absolutely beautiful; and she is the other lead guitarist as well as pianist (she appears with the Tokyo Symphony, among others, when Lovebites is not touring. In fact, I believe Miyako just recently concluded a concert series, but I may be off a little on timing there. She began piano at age 3! but then took up guitar at 18, she is around 25 or so here, I think. Last, but certainly not least is Asami. Her vocals are amazing and her English is improving. She studied Ballet in the USA for several years but I believe she suffered an injury that stopped that dream. As you mentioned, she has an R&B and maybe pop or jazz vocal background, but we lover her powerful vocals in this genre as well. She writes most of the lyrics for their songs, where Miyako does the composing, for the most part. I am pretty sure they all collaborate for their new stuff. And I am looking forward to their next album/single to be released... unknown data for that. But I can hope. Overall, I enjoyed your reaction and review. Enjoy the link(s) I included above. [Damn it! This name of the band has ZERO connection to the Def Leopard song, to my understanding.]
Asami said that Judgment Day represents fight with yourself and your greastest fears. Its the greatest battle that anyone can have. Thats why they all have their light and darker costumes in the video. These girls are really special. The whole album is just a power metal masterpiece.
Lovebites has a song called Shadowmaker where the main riff is definitely reminiscent of Gates of Babylon. That's one of the cool things about Lovebites... they have tons of classic bands as inspiration, and you can pick them out across their song catalogue, but nothing ever sounds like a rip-off. They're just taking what they love and applying it to their own brand of awesome music. I'm sure you're going to find out, because I very much doubt you're done with Lovebites! 😁
incase you didnt know Asami Singer plays Guitar and Piano. Yeah, she isn't a body builder at all. She is seriously into fitness comps. Nothing to do with adding mass or using chems. She is going for perfect tone.
Rainbow homage 🤔. Definitely stretching the imagination there. There were overtones of dream theater, malmsteen, iron maiden and dragonforce! The obsession over midori is a tad obsessive 😉. However, there are few videos of her competing if you want to salivate over them 😂!!
Next new songs MV Stand And Deliver(Shoot 'em Down), live songs Set The World On Fire, Break The Wall, The Hammer Of Wrath, Thunder Vengeance, Raise Some Hell, Scream For Me.....
Guys, guys, guys .... nice you are having a good time and enjoy yourself. And I do like your reactions. But ... this evening and this reaction ... a bit too much :P
People eager to stop the video before the end... that says all you need to know about their real commitment in the listening process. Just give us your views and your thumbs up.
The 3 of you need to get back on the Lovebites reaction train. Been a hot minute. Something you should do to truly understand their breath of capabilities. React to Set The World On Fire live ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html to see their thrash metal side, and boy, can they do it well. It's the Big 4/ Testament with Dragonforce-like solos. Then do A Frozen Serenade live ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html to be mind-blown. To think it's one band doing both these songs; the stark contrast is unreal. As musicians, I think you'll really appreciate the amount of time they put in honing their skills. Frozen Serenade is a song for the ages and one that just NEVER gets old...no matter how many times you watch it. IMHO. Hoping you'll take me up on the offer; the wolfpack (fanbase) will love it! 🤘
Midori is a body builder, fitness bikini athlete. For a 110 pound woman she has almost zero body fat and her muscle mass is very well defined. You wont see roided Western profiles but you will see well defined muscles that do not hinder the arms and legs movement and poses required for the Pro Bikini Fitness circuits. Watch a few live vids and you will see an athletic Midori running the stage and bouncing all while wearing high heel stiletto. That is Total fitness imo.
@@gt1man931How is Bodybuilding different from Fitness? Categories Fitness - part of Bodybuilding or without going into details, these are two disciplines of the same sport. 🤭Conventionally, they differ in the same way that sprinting differs from long-distance running (marathon). If you look at Midori's workouts, you will see that they include such exercises as: deadlift with a barbell; pull-ups on the crossbar with weights; barbell squats; standing barbell row, bent over; barbell presses; leg press , lying on your back on the simulator ; work on other simulators with weights for all muscle groups, etc. etc.(fragments of her workouts can be seen on the Internet). The difference can only be in the weight of the shells, in the number of approaches, in the number of repetitions, etc. Everything else, including: nutrition, drinking regimen, the use of dietary supplements, protein mixtures, etc. same, with slight variations. P.S. The first competition in which Midori participated in July 2022 was held by the YBFF(Yokohama Bodybuilding Fitness Federation). In Bodybuilding "for men" there is also a section "posing" (Fitness compositions)
Fun reaction, but you did not pick the right pausing point as the solo section wasn't complete yet - harmonized section followed. You need to practice your feel for breaking points😂....you know I'm joking. In my opinion, collectively the best high level of talent across the board in any band I have ever heard (I'm 63 and have been listening to metal for 50+ years). Their inspirations come from the likes of Maiden, Priest, Motorhead ("Stand and Deliver" official music video highlights this ruclips.net/video/4ImGA7cPyrs/видео.html ), basically the 80's metal scene. They can play pure thrash ("Break the Wall" - live Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html ), pure power metal ("Glory to the World" music video ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html ), and in most songs they blend multiple inspirations and sub genres of metal. Midori (blonde hair - fitness) and Miyako (black hair) and the best dual guitar leads ever, in my opinion. They are an amazing live band. Fami is the new bassist (replaced Miho, one of the co-founders) who was introduced to the world in Lovebites with this song. Haruna (other co-founder) is a machine on drums. Asami's voice is so metal without being metal. They are my favorite band ever for a reason, and this is my personal favorite song by any band. Miyako is also a virtuoso pianist, and my favorite musician. Piano, guitar, composer of many Lovebites songs - amazing. She just released her piano cover of "Eagle Fly Free" by Helloween. ruclips.net/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/видео.html
@Ponyboy Curtis It's so hard to explain what Miyako did. If you knew nothing about that song, it sounds like a classical piece. To us metalheads, it's a metal sing turned classical yet still completely metal.
Gates of Babylon: the part you mean reminded me too of that song. Miyako (the black-haired guitarist)'s mother is a classic rock fan, and Miyako grew up with a steady diet of not only Chopin, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Liszt, but also Deep Purple, Rainbow, Queen and (later) Gary Moore. The sword, I think, was a European sword for a reason: the story in the video is supposed to be a universal one (the whole thing is a parable for the fight against the darkness in yourself) and thus uses universal fantasy tropes rather than localized ones. BTW, they had already posed as samurai in an older video: When Destinies Align. Pssst: they do this for two hours straight, also the guitarists and the singer are all in the 30-35 age range. You can do it too, you gotta practice some more. ;-)
Thank you for responding to lovebites. But I'm tired of hearing things that sound like something from the past. That's what everyone thinks. I don't understand English, but I can only see him mocking Japanese artists while drinking. It's not that I'm angry with you guys, but I'm sad and wrote. I'm sorry if it bothers you.
Everything is derivative of something else. That’s not a negative, but a huge benefit since their influences so closely align with my own. We meant no disrespect to Japanese culture. I’m quite smitten with it actually.

Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em
Have to do a reaction with your friend to Stand and Deliver where they are in studio wo costumes 🤘
incase you didnt know Asami Singer plays Guitar and Piano. Miyako Black Haired Guitarist players Guitar, Bass, Drums and Piano Midori blonde hair guitarist Plays Guitar and Piano, Miho old bassist plays Bass and Piano, Fami new bassist plays Bass, Guitar and Piano and Harume Drummer plays Drums, Bass and Piano you guys should react to Scream For Me daughters of the dawn live tokyo 2019 if you want to hear how good they are at guitars this song has 14 guitar solos please let me know what you think
Fami Fami Fami!
Yeah, there's a part of Gates of Babylon...the ladies ARE metal/rock fans, I'm sure it's tribute to the legends.
they name is from Halestorms song lovebites not def leppard
You all may want to check out Lilliac. Romanian family band and all on their own to my knowledge no major label has picked them up.
Next new songs MV Stand And Deliver(Shoot 'em Down), live songs Set The World On Fire, Break The Wall, The Hammer Of Wrath, Thunder Vengeance, Raise Some Hell, Scream For Me.....
🐺🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤘
Guys, guys, guys .... nice you are having a good time and enjoy yourself. And I do like your reactions. But ... this evening and this reaction ... a bit too much :P
People eager to stop the video before the end... that says all you need to know about their real commitment in the listening process. Just give us your views and your thumbs up.
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
Great spot for Gates of Babylon…..”Phrygian Dominant” scale. I adore Lovebites but Ritchie is God.
Sorry, been on vacation and then relatives visiting for a few weeks. We’ll get back to it!
@@FlameImperishable Family first always! Fam and I just got back from OBX, NC ourselves so I hear ya! 🤘
The band name Lovebites comes from the Halestorm track Love Bites.
Anthony is a cool dude.
Shades of Lou Ferigno hanging with Audrey Hepburn and Wyatt Earp. Make Anthony a regular.
Midori was second in her body building competition
Fitness comps. She is not doing body building.
Fitness competitions is part of body building. There’s more than one category in the sport.
Like I said, there’s more than one category in body building as a sporting competition.
Thanks! Lol, can’t wait to dive deeper into their music!
You can do it too, you gotta practice some more. ;-)
with the addition of 21-year-old fami, the average age of lovebites is 29.4.
@@bonered9210 Do you have the ages of everyone? Please list them.

Yeah, you can tell where to pause....in a solo😢 oh yeah song structure and all that I KNOW everything, NOT😂excuse while I stroke my face more

I‘m in my 40‘s. And don‘t feel old 😉
New bassist, fami, is 3rd year university student and turned 21 on June 1st.
That's young to me. I'm 57.
