This song is the Wolfpack's Lovebites anthem. They close a lot of their shows with this track. BTW, Lovebites will embark on their World Tour this year. Several European and 1 US (ProgPower in Atlanta) dates have already been confirmed. They'll be adding shows on an ongoing basis that might include a US tour, so watch out for new announcements.

Asami at 4' 10" is a stage Napoleon, who controls the crowd, the band and the entire concert. Off stage she is quiet, classy with a positive disposition, but put a mic in her hand and give her a stage and watch out! M&M as usual demonstrates the Vulcan mind meld perfectly. The ladies are so happy to be back together performing in front of a crowd after the hiatus to find Fami (bass) and it shows. They are dedicated to their music, their fans (Wolfpack), and each other completely while they chase perfection in their art. So positive and refreshing after having grown up with drugs, ego wars and poor relations in a lot of the old bands.I enjoyed (Cream {1966-68} I am looking at you). Their team is ready for their world tour this year and these musicians are ready to explode on the metal scene such that people won't be able to ignore them any longer. Great reaction as always and your insights from a band perspective is always on point!!!!
They play "Happy Metal" song for Wolfpack🐺. Because this song like the anthem song of Lovebites for wolfpack🤘
that image that you stopped on right after the long solo really sums up what LOVEBITES is all about. look at those smiles in that photo. nothing faked here - they are having the time of their lives and they know it probably won't last forever. so they put their all into their shows. magic.
A few years ago, Lovebites achieved perfection. Since then, they have continued to get even better. Not sure how that works, but there you have it.
The happiness they exude comes from the joy of the music they produce! With the addition of Fami has added to that! It must be noted that Fami's infectious smiling and uplifting behaviour was one of the reasons why she was picked. Asami's interview after the announcement of Fami gave me the impression that the happy demeanour was brought about by the 4 themselves and Fami's infectious youthful enthusiasm that made them realise what they were missing and love music again!
I said in my other post, that Lovebites appear much happier than they were in the past, and that I don’t think it’s entirely because it just feels new to them again. Besides Fami lifting their spirits, I think it has more to do with solving whatever issues they had in the past (perhaps even conflicts over direction, who knows), while they seem much more united now, and looking to the future. Also it could just be a combination of all these factors; the newness, Fami, a united goal.

I loved your reaction, it's so nice to hear the point of view from musicians like you, I'd love to see a reaction from you of "A frozen serenade" and "edge of the world" by Lovebites (there are subtitled versions on RUclips). Kind regards from France 🐺🐺🐺😊
This is simply the best band, in every possible sense, there has ever been. Seriously. In a documentary on an earlier live release the girls do their own makeup. On the Judgement Day tour in particular Fami the Bassist changed her hairstyle every gig…but probably had help plaiting it. Next time you watch the track, Fami is seen in only a brief moment right at the very end in a state of concentration, otherwise for every moment of the song she is smiling.
As for choreography, that too is down to endless rehearsals by the band themselves. The only thing I know of that they themselves have little to do with is the set design and layout.
The song is very good, and so is the performance, but there are two things that stand out for me in this performance, the first is Haruna looking like a happy kid on christmas, bobbing her head from side to side with a big smile, and then Fami and Asami come up behind the kit and join her. The second thing, the fistbump between Midori and Miyako after their solo, even Miyako, who usually looks so serious, stoic and focused, gives us a smile. You really can tell that this is their/our anthem, and that they enjoy playing it together very much.
it must be so difficult walking up those stairs in high heels while playing that bass at that neckbreaking pace, especially when it is your first great show. thank you for your fine reaction and appreciation of the ladies.

To me Lovebites appear much happier than they were in the past, which I think many other fans would agree to as well, and is further supported by the many reactors pointing out the same thing. I also don’t think it’s entirely because it feels new to them again. It can be part of it, but I also think whatever problems they may have had in the past, were probably solved, and so are likely looking to the future now. Even a member being unhappy in the past, could explain the strong difference/contrast compared to now. For happiness (like Fami shows) along with sadness, are both contagious. Just sharing my perspective.

Well… reissue Gibson Futura and think it was loaned, but fantastic song and performance. Asami’s grin when she got on the piano is precious, the Miyako and Midori fist bump is epic, and Asami’s chuckle toward the end is so endearing 🤘🎸🐺

I spent a whole concert watching Haruna (The Final Judgement, Zepp Yokohama). Because I'm vertically challenged lol, and the venue was packed but I found myself a spot and remained there watching the Goddess of Thunder (and a few glimpses of MYK-sensei).
My jaw was cramped after the concert because I smiled the whole time. I love you Harupi❤
Lovebites give extra meaning to LIVE concert: they make you feel ALIVE. They galvanize your heart with the most precious Metal. You feel invincible, ready to face the world again.

Part of the Happiness this band exhibits comes from their own Japanese heritage. They strive for Harmonious Perfection and Respect for both themselves and All others. Almost completely opposite of most Western Music industry. Also their management Victor does a fantastic job of keeping the band in a Happy place while still keeping the Lightning in the bottle effect going strong. The balance of Class and Technicality is just Amazing with this band. And nice throwback of Miyako playing a 50's Gibson Futura and killing the most modern and technical music possible.

Despite Asami repeated last two lines of the 1st verse in the 2nd one, this possibly the best live version of this great metal anthem to the moment ! 🤘 And that fist bump that Miyako and Midori traditionally gave each other after their awesome solo became a legend already. Let's stay united!✌🐺🤘

This is HAPPY METAL!
The reaction from the band themselves why they were smiling so big and so happy is this was their second concert which was the day after the first one since March of 2021. Also the audience was given permission to actually cheer and sing along. The last concert that was released which was the Ride for Vengeance Tour (with a four month pregnant Miyako) people were social distanced and wearing masks and could only clap. The smiles, the excitement, and energy was being able to hear the audience.

I really liked this version showing how happy the metal queens are. I think it comes from all they have gone through with CIVID and losing Miho their co-founder and bassist and having Fami come on as their new bassist. You paused on a great shot of guitarists Miyako and Midori.

Wonderful reaction and your wife, Yennifer (sorry, couldn't resist the Witcher opportunity :-)) is spot on, they are PERFECT. To come full circle and really understand just exactly what these ladies are capable of, think you need to check out these 3 songs specifically (at some point):

This is the last song of the album, of course composed by musical genius Miyako (pianist / guitarist), to think she wrote this for the Glory, Glory To The World EP and it didn't make the cut is mind-boggling. Jason, you mentioned on a prior reaction that you hope power metal makes a comeback to mainstream and you think Lovebites can help make that happen. If there was ever a song to do it...SSS is the one, imho. Goosebumps / chills from the opening dual leads, all the way through. Watching the 5 Queens of metal joking / having fun during one of the most intense songs I've ever heard is quite the experience. My favorite song by any band ever...in 51yrs.

Fami Fami Fami! not perfect at least this show the Piano/keyboard was terribly miked if at all just watch the end of "Swan Song" from this same concert and you saw when Asami was playing how she finished with flourish which was not audible.
