midwest emo pics are always familiar... but this is literally my dorm lol
Thats hella cool
you're the one lying? lol
@Liam Jones ah I meant it looked like my room at TVD. this photo is of the kinsella brothers likely around '96
@@kazuo1f are these really Kinsella brothers?
@@abhiskekrachit1411 it isn’t the “brothers” per say as much as its Mike and Steve Lamos lol.
I love how midwestern emo and genres like it always sound like they were recorded in someone's basement or a college dorm room at 1 am. And I specifically mean 1 am.
I think this is the first Midwest emo mixtape I've come across on here that has Bright Eyes. "If Winter Ends" is a classic.
My favorite song by them is Lua! I want hyped when I heard them
A couple years ago my friend and I were driving up to a place in the mountains to find the spot where his ex had just died in a car wreck. She rolled her car in December right before Christmas on black ice. We went to say goodbye and since we do paranormal investigation we had our EVPs and ghost radar on. He was also on speaker phone with our other friend who is a medium. Our equipment lit up all of a sudden and at the EXACT moment our medium friend made contact with his ex and was telling us that she was entering another life and for my friend to not be sad and it's all going to be okay, I noticed When Winter Ends suddenly came on and Conor was saying It's gonna be alright over and over again at the very same moment she said that to him. I know the song is about something else but everything coincided perfectly. The energy in the car raised and it's like nothing I've ever seen or felt since. I had never even heard that song before then and I have loved Bright Eyes forever. The fact that it involved a car and winter ending and getting past the dead and eternal snow and slowly dying still gives me goosebumps even today. I don't care if you don't believe in ghosts or the afterlife bc that shit was real af and thank you for putting it on this mix and whoever reads this.
This is the best comment so far thanks for telling us this story
i think this is my new favorite music genre
Same same
welcome to the sad gang
A mix tape that actually includes Free Throw? Fuck yeah. This was great.
when it started off with If Winter Ends i knew this was gonna be a good one 😭😭😭
the guy on the floor in this picture is mike kinsella
Real emos failed out of college to write music about a girl still in college
Shit......
Fuck you that hurt
Look... if the mix got mythmaker, all the songs are bangers 😤🤘🏽
Remembering the old scenes of my life. Parties, friends, dates... it seems like so long ago.
One of the firsts, if not the first, mixtape o bumped into when i was introducing myself to the genre.
Feels good coming back after 2 years or so.
you are the ember of my heart, whether you like that or not.
Fantastic song
This may be a Midwest mix, but I am loving it here in Northern California .
at least you live in the US
You've chosen the tracks position in the mixtape like the old mixtapes of 2014/15.
good job!

They definitely were in the early years no doubt… this scene in the 90s was a big part of some of their lives, atleast Connor and mike
Also bright eyes is amazing
Expected to hear some nice mellow stuff and was immediately bludgeoned in the face with If Winter Ends. Great playlist though!
amazing mix!
This picture resonates with me.

I enjoy sad Russian songs that sound similar to this. Its funny to see a Russian comment on an American/ English video. I'm sure russian people think the same when they see my English commente on Russian music videos lol

Wow I'm Always surprised to see northfolk
I need stuff specifically like North Folk Mythmaker. The perfect breakdown in a song
I really love I can sing it for you by them, maybe u will too if u havnt heard?:)
How can we submit a song to this playlist? We’re a Midwest emo band from detroit.
someone has feelings for me, and I have feelings for him too, but I don't know how to tell him how I really feel. I love him, but I'm afraid ya know?
33 and still a creep...🖤
16:23 100% sounds like Brendan Lukens of Mobo. Is it?
It isss
how dare you cut out the intro to if winter ends
It wouldn't fit the mixtape dynamics, ahahaha
Sorry xD
@@pedrobenedetti7293 is alright
i'll never have courage to talk to her, i'm just a ugly little guy with lack of confidence. hope she will be have a perfect date.
LOL some of these songs are first world problems. Oh no! I'm going to college 😭 Trust me you don't want the "excitement "of some third world countries. Or maybe you do, go and help them.
*laughs in Brazil*
I mean I get what you are saying and in general it's not bad to take a step back and be thankful for what you have. However, to take your point to the extrem, you could say nobody is allowed to feel bad about anything if there are still people who have it way worse. This is just not helpful. Sure, there might be people all over the world starving but right now *I* feel like shit and I need help with *my* problems - just telling people to "suck it up, it's not that bad" has proven again and again to not be particularly helpful. It's okay to feel bad, no matter what someone else might have to go through. But at the same time be compassionate with everyone struggling because you can't imagine what they are feeling. And try to be there for those who have it worse than you.
