  • We’re doing a spring overhaul of the backyard and the finishing touches are adding some lights. I bought this kit at Lowe’s - it is the Portfolio Special Textured Bronze Low Voltage Integrated LED Path Light Kit - it is a great deal at $109. Kit comes with 4 pathway lights, 2 spotlights, 45 watt transformer and 45 ft of wire.

Your backyard looks great. Good video, thanks! I love how easy it is to connect the lights to the main wire. I bought another kit where you had to connect each to the lights individually and it was such a pain that I returned it 😀 I’m not very handy. Anyway, thanks again!

Thank you so much!!! I’ve been looking for someone to explain this. What do I do with the other end of the wire that’s not connected to the transformer? And the wiring on the wire need to face upward or downward?

You can just leave the end of the wire - there are probably caps you can buy to terminate the end but it’s so low voltage it won’t cause any problems either way. I’m not sure what you mean by upward or downward but you can pierce the wire with the lights from either side!
