I think the kid who plays Jordan is like 17 or 18 and the kid who plays Jonathan is 19 or 20
Kids don't play actual kids on CW shows because it would be super weird to sexualize children...

@@Sam-mi9wi Interesting! Usually the guys are older and girls are younger. I think on the OC, the main male characters were in their 20s and the girls were teens :-(. This is a nice shift.

Not to mix you girls up even further with the kids names, but the actor who plays Johnathan in real life is named Jordan. So yes it does fit his name better lol

Very impressed by the music, storytelling, VFX, emotion. The first 5 minutes of this show was better then most things WB DC has ever done. Felt genuine and felt angst/love. This is going to be helluva ride.

😂😂😂I was so excited when I found out about the kids. It adds so much more layers to Superman as a whole and to the story
The powers that be have said this version of Superman will be more of a family drama like "Friday Night Lights" then a typical CW superhero show so be ready for a 1/4 Jordan, Sarah, and Jonathan high school teen angst vibe, 1/4 Lois and Morgan edge journalistic mystery, 1/4 Superman & Lex hero/villain arc, and a Clark, Lois, Jordan, and Jonathan family drama series.
That’s another thing I love about the twins is that Johnathan loves his brother and would do anything for him but they are just different ppl. I also think Jordan in some ways find comfort in his brothers remarks
The guys over at Blind Wave had a smart idea that the "Captain Luthor" is from one of the destroyed earths from Crisis

I bet it's alexander luthor, even lex hates him in the comics. It's an alt universe lex who goes by his full name, instead of lex.

I think it's appropriate that the son named after Clark's Kryptonian dad was the one with the powers. I just figured he was because he kind of looks like him.

What's so cool about Jordan is that he's a new character that was created from crisis but as a twin to Jonathan and you can definitely see that their relationship is very important to each other despite each other calling each other names and being stupid boys. I am very very very intrigued by Jordan and his abilities that he inherited from Clark as well as trying to fit in as a new kid in Smallville and Jordan and Jonathan are definitely going to have problems with the boyfriend as well as problems with the parents

Captain Luther is the son of Lex Luther from a future timeline you know just like how the Legends Of Tomorrow come from different future/past timelines
You're also getting them up because the actor who plays Jonathan's real name is Jordan
The actor playing Lex Luthor is Wole Parks, who played the Devil Cade in The CW's "The Vampire Diaries".

He was alive at the end of Supergirl SE5 and then in the premiere of Superman and Lois there is a new Lex.
At the moment I'm going with since there were two Beth Kane's on Prime Earth { one from Earth 99 } because of Crisis there are now two Lex's, with this one somehow needing the suit to remain alive.
Also Jon Cryer, the actor was likely only interested in doing two seasons of Supergirl and when they asked if he'd like to sign on as part o the S&L cast he passed on the offer so they had to find a new Lex for this hopefully 6 or 8 season show.

Usually the simplest of explanations is the answer and with the events of Crisis having just happened and the fact Beth Kane of Earth 99 was "relocated" to Earth Prime where her doppelganger Alice aka Beth Kane lives on "Batwoman" I'm going with this Lex being a different version of Lex from another Earth.
Lex: "Where I come from lets just say the two of us have history."
Superman: "Where is that exactly ?"
Lex: "No where, now. My world was destroyed but somehow I managed to survive. I eventually arrived here where I learned you were here to."

AFAIK, at least Supergirl’s adoptive mother is alive. Not sure if her biological mother came back after Crisis.
So to recap:
Green Arrow’s parents - dead
The Flash’s parents - dead
Supergirl’s parents - both fathers dead; at least one mother alive
Black Lightning’s parents - father dead, mother unknown
White Canary’s parents - father dead, mother presumed alive
Batwoman’s (Kate Kane’s) parents - mother dead, father alive
Batwoman II’s parents - mother dead, father unknown
Also, I presume Jordan is named after Clark’s biological father Jor-El, much like how Jonathan is named after his adoptive father.
After Crisis, Oliver's mother is alive and Sara's father is also alive.

They both have powers I think. in the opening montage, you might've missed it, Jonathan threw an american football through the rope which i'm fairly sure would require some strength to actually break a strong piece of rope with a rubber ball
Something tells me that Jordan's powers were activated by the crystal he got from the ship. I don't think Johnathon's powers are active yet. Him being great at sports and breaking the rope was a red herring.

Superman's Kryptonian parents are named Jor-El and Lara Jor-El. Before Krypton was destroyed, the two sent their son to Earth to not only give him a better future but also to preserve their species continuation.
if you guys heard the conversation between clark and captain luthor before they fought he said he is from another world that was destroyed and he was his greatest enemy on his world and was very surprised when he showed up on this world and found out that superman was here too he is talking about crisis like when all the brainiacs came here from another earth, or another beth kane or an evil winn schott please let me know what out think

You can not know a lot about a comic book character's vast 80+ year history and backstory and still dislike a specific actor's portrayal in one or two movies. Having prior knowledge of a character from comics is not a prerequisite for enjoying a movie version.
