As a long time windows developer trying linux, I am very excited for the linutil. Can we add system options for various developer setups? Like front end react development, full stack dev, dotnet dev, go dev etc?
With the 'linutil' would you be able to offer customisation's from other RUclipsrs, or famous Linux people, too? Like Brodie Robertson, DistroTube. Stallman, Torvalds, etc...
I am glad I was able to set up some of the framework that helped winutil to get where it is today. Also happy to see you join us on the Developer journey
This is the kind of thing that Linux needs to have on a distro for normies to be able to use it. But it needs to be all GUI. This is a huge step in the right direction. If I had the time and skill to help I would love to work on something like this. I will be following this git and trying to learn and help.
Bro i tell people to you! I can't believe you are making a linux one now, tons of new people will be exited. Everyone who knows about this uses it each time they set up windows. Just know that people really appreciate your work and effort on this.
So happy for you Chris, I personally have been with the program since early windebloat days and you are doing an amazing job with all of the time and effort you have been putting in to it. Very nice sir, very nice.
WOW you made ❤it. All the best wishes on your new way. I am happy to follow you since. Even I have 40 Years of IT Experience I still can learn from you ❤Greetings and Good Luck from Germany. Thumbs Up

This man deserves so much respect for what he has done for the community, especially people like me who are trying to learn and find it very complicated from most sources. He seems to put things in ways which are very easy to interpret and seemingly has no judgement for noobie mistakes. I appreciate your content man, keep it up
Been using your windows utility for awhile and love it to death because of how easy it is to setup everything after a fresh install. Well recently i've made the switch to linux as my daily driver and on my gaming pc and wished there was something like the Win utility and my secret wish was granted! Gonna be keeping a close eye on this project and have high hopes for the future.
We need a way of reinstalling a Linux Distro, from install media, right on the Desktop, without a disk or USB Drive. ..Like we can do in Windows...I would pay for that.
The extent of my automation prowess may be limited to simply clicking the 'Subscribe' button, yet now I delight in every new video that graces my RUclips feed.
Excited to check out LinUtil, Chris! Wishing you nothing but success and inspiration. Anything that makes it easier to customize and streamline our desktop Linux experience is awesome. And from a coverage point of view -- keep me posted!
Great timing. I just bought a second SSD and will dual boot Linux on my main laptop. I've been trying arch on my second laptop and I want it on my main. I'm also going to clean install windows on my current drive with your tool. I can't wait. Thank you!
Been watching on and off for a while... love your content with linux (helping me make the switch soon). Just bought the Windows Toolbox to do my little part to help your job shift. Keep up the great work, "You'll go far kid" :)
Man I'd just like to say a big thank you for your work and countless hours of time your dedicating to this project. Its going to be huge and make things so much easier for newbies to just get their system running
Thanks so much Chris for all you do. I use your win util tool everytime I load my machines & such a huge time saver! Super stoked to play with the linux one as well! Just now in the process of switching over to Linux as my daily driver🎉
on an android phone when too many apps are installed and the phone becomes laggy we run a factory reset which cleans everything up without needing to reinstall the os. is it possible to add a similar feature to linux?
That's amazing! Thanks for the great work! I've been having some issues with a win11 iso 26000 (i'm daily driving it), when I try to install some apps, something relate to c:/windows folder. I great thing will be making the microwin more customizable. Anyway keep the good work and wish you the best.
I'm excited for the Linutil. I'm not that tech savey. I know just enough to get my OS on my pc and kind of follow instructions when I can find them. Thank you for you and others for making Linux even better.
I have a crappy laptop that my work gave me and must use and thanks to your tool I was able to bring down the ram usage to around 4gb on windows 11. Thanks
Hey Chris, I think you should consider doing something like Proton or Port Proton for Linux users or just contribute to these projects to migrate people from Windows to Linux.
Hey Chris, congratulations and thanks for your windows utilities. I use them on every machine. Question for you: how come when I install a web browser via your utility inside an administrator account, it doesn’t show up on another users account? Is there a way to solve this? What I don’t understand is when I log into the non admin account and select to install a browser, the utility says that it’s already installed but I have no icon on the desktop or the start menu. What gives?
Hi Chris i was just searching for conky clock widget to customise my Linux mint and found your video. But i believe it needs an update and is there a small space for conky and other customisation in this LinTool for home PC users (not a dev here) newbie.
Now I don't want to kill the hype but now that the project is becoming popular and considering the nature of it, wouldn't it become a target for malicious people trying to infiltrate the project and write malicious code on it?
Suggestion/request for the Linux tool... Do the tweaks to LibreOffice that make it more like MS Office (like making .docx the default save type, using a ribbon menu, Windows fonts, etc).
Thanks for all the work put into this tool. It’s essential for Windows especially with all the garbage they are stuffing into the operating system and are planning to. I use my machine for audio production and it feels so much snappier with the OS stripped down. 👍
Chris, what do you think about the updates with Nobara 40? Seems like the Linus UTL could be awesome in the future to streamline so much of the junk needed in Linux paired with Nobara seems like a win!
Will this also be available on Fedora? It would be great, though in my experience it uses a lot of different defaults compared to Debian/Ubuntu and Arch... So it might be a challange
Absolutely love Win-util, its one of the very first things i launch on a new windows install. Looking forward to making use of Lin-util as well! Maybe sometime in the not too distant future, we will also have a Mac-util 👀 Also want to say thank you for your mybash script, which i also make good use of on my fresh *nix installs! - I would love to see MacOS (sh) support for mybash too! (Maybe i need to dive in and open a PR)
Is the Windows Util something I should run each time I boot my pc, or run it every so often or just after a windows update and it resets things that the windows util had disabled? Cheers
APPLAUDS - appreciate you Titus. That gaming set up will make it easier to convince my friends to get on linux. I just use CachyOS but even that to some people seems like too much work. I just want all gamers to switch to linux.
Can I make a suggestion about tools? Do you know what Linux distros need? A native or non-native tool that synchronizes files accurately between local files and Google Drive or OneDrive. It would be really great. I know there is rclone and other some tools that are paid, but something really good and free like a desktop version of google drive
Anyway to make remote desktop work every version of Windows iv tested over the past year have all had same issue remote desktop just doesn't work and these are clean installs. Has this app been dropped from within a network?

it's great to see how far this tool has come from just being a simple powershell script to fully fledged github project. Congrats CT!
So hyped for you man. You are gonna kill it 🫡
Pretty cool seeing Theo here!
This was an unexpected encounter 😮
I installed windows on 5 machines this past week, used the util on every single one.
So I can imagine 300K users are real...
The ChrisTitusAgen is coming hahah looking forward to see more development content from you
Man, you're a legend! These tools would save a lot of time for everyone. Especially the Linutil.
Good luck CTT, love your windows scripts.
Thanks for making linux desktop better.

@@ChrisTitusTech grand, ta! 😀
You’ve come a long way. I really do think of you as the guy who just makes things work.
You can stream while you are learning and share your learning progress😇
That's the plan!
This is super awesome man. Thanks for putting the time into this work!
I am glad I was able to set up some of the framework that helped winutil to get where it is today. Also happy to see you join us on the Developer journey
Yes! Chris' developer era!
Good Luck with your new avenue and thank you for the help you have given to so many of us.

You take Linux and Titus... and you mash them together! LinusUtil!!!
It's always the right decision to learn and strive for more. You will thrive in the long run
Thank you for all the work and effort you're putting into these very useful tools! I'm glad you're enjoying your time doing dev work.

On wayland, especially if you're getting into rust, anyrun might be worth a try (rofi alternative).
lin and win will be the easiest to remember imo
your obsession inspires me - great evolution!
This is fantastic. Thanks for the contributions.
You getting jazzed with this really got me jazzed about sw development path which I have not dedicated much time into. As usual, thanks for sharing!

What awesome tools man, I use them frequently and are delighted with them. Thanks loads!
How about setting samba up to join the linux pc to an AD domain automatically.
O feel we are just getting started here!
It would be really sweet if the linux tool would work on BSD too, if you did that, the program would probably stick around about as long as X11.
Thanks so much Chris for all you do. I use your win util tool everytime I load my machines & such a huge time saver! Super stoked to play with the linux one as well! Just now in the process of switching over to Linux as my daily driver🎉
This is just off the top of my head, so it's probably really dumb, but how about integrating LinUtil into an existing Linux utility like Stacer?
on an android phone when too many apps are installed and the phone becomes laggy we run a factory reset which cleans everything up without needing to reinstall the os. is it possible to add a similar feature to linux?
I can't imagine the time you and your contributors have put in this great Windows tool utility. Keep the good work !

"Titus Toolbox for Windows"
"Titus Toolbox for Linux"
I'd recommend keeping the branding the same.
QT is multiplatform I'm sure some people must use it.
Sorry to hear that.
This man made the Titus utility tool w/out going in full energy into developing. Think about that
That's amazing! Thanks for the great work!

My iso was in pt-br, I did the patch again with an en-us iso and worked fine. Could be that the issue?
Thanks so much for your awesome WinUtil!

On winutil I really want the grey mode with dark mode and look forward to see where linutil goes and keep doing your fantastic work! Thanks Chris
With Your knowledge You can become a great developer!
Could you make it so we can add our own packages to your Linux one maybe by a conf file
Hey Chris, congratulations and thanks for your windows utilities. I use them on every machine. Please do a video on building the Linux kernel with kernel customization.
Hi Chris i was just searching for conky clock widget to customise my Linux mint and found your video. But i believe it needs an update and is there a small space for conky and other customisation in this LinTool for home PC users (not a dev here) newbie.
It works great but the ui needs a lot of work. The layout, colors, fonts are all over the place.
Now I don't want to kill the hype but now that the project is becoming popular and considering the nature of it, wouldn't it become a target for malicious people trying to infiltrate the project and write malicious code on it?

Hey Chris, I installed Linux Mint, and now can't get to the BIOS. Thr LM forum doesn't seem to have answers... Any pointers?
Titus becoming the Linus of Windows Utilities 😂😮 At least you have some assistance.
Will this also be available on Fedora? It would be great, though in my experience it uses a lot of different defaults compared to Debian/Ubuntu and Arch... So it might be a challange

Is the Windows Util something I should run each time I boot my pc, or run it every so often or just after a windows update and it resets things that the windows util had disabled? Cheers
For linux side you could probably get most of your way there by using ansible on the backend
Linux Titus tool? amazing... just amazing man
Super! I really like the WinUtil and can't wait for the Linux Version to be flushed out! Great stuff, keep it up!
Dude, are you changin your distro in like, every video?
I admire your honesty!
APPLAUDS - appreciate you Titus. That gaming set up will make it easier to convince my friends to get on linux. I just use CachyOS but even that to some people seems like too much work. I just want all gamers to switch to linux.

@ChrisTitusTech how do you do that. Which programming languages do you learn, practice and use, especially for the Windows tools you've created!
Anyway to make remote desktop work every version of Windows iv tested over the past year have all had same issue remote desktop just doesn't work and these are clean installs. Has this app been dropped from within a network?
