Well said the software support is becoming horrible I am still on jan security patch and no android 11 on 7 pro
I like seeing StarCraft II footage on your videos. It always warms my heart.
Loved the Killer Instinct reference.
Nice wallpaper/theme, please drop the description !!
I must be blind but i literally have never noticed an actual difference in camera quality in just about any phone i've used for the last 5 years. I just don't care any more. They are all plenty good enough to take random shots of my dogs. I feel like this might be one of those things where content creators think it's important to everyone because it's important to them.
could you please add a link for the theme you use. it would be great ..
I was waiting for this video for soo long,
Nice to see an early review from you 👍
Yes, I was shocked about how he credited netflix for Loki but actually it's on disney+.
Had them both, and I feel better having the 9 over the Pro. The OIS never became a problem for me. The battery is better on the 9. The size is perfect, and I'm a big guy. Camera does what I need it to do 100% of the time, and I'm coming from a 11 Pro Max. Yeah, there's better cameras, but for the combo of what's offered, and I'm the average user, this is the best phone at this price!
thank you for mentioning about their inconsistency with software updates my oneplus 7t is still on android 10 which sucks.
The OnePlus 3T also has the OIS and then it went missing for the 5 & 5T. It does return with OnePlus 6 onward.
I just wanna say,
We love You.
People are saying oneplus 9 don't have OIS but even without this, video recording is stable asF.
Really like the homescreen setup, just curious how can also implement it for my oneplus
sameeeeeeeeeeee...
Hahahhahahaha... Loved the "C c c combo breaker" from Killer Instinct at 03:18. Nice one 👌
What's missing.🤔

Do you write any kind of script, pointers or something or do you just improvise everything at the spot?
C-C-C-C-OMBO BREAKER brought me right back to the days of ultra combos with Orchid in the N64. Those were the days!
Thanks for this criticism. Hopefully they listen, also highlight about the lack of dual sim.
"Loki - Netflix"
You have no idea how mad that makes me
I came to say the same thing
why?
What??
What...Netflix??
Oh now I get it! Turn off subtitle, 0:40
As one who has never cared for cameras too much, I really appreciate what one plus phones have to offer with warp charge and what not 👍
I'd argue that the 499 OnePlus 8 is a better deal than the 729 OnePlus 9.
You just earned a sub. Thanks for being honest to your viewers!
I just loved your home screen setup can you please tell how?
Employee 1: We've partnered with Hasselblad for OnePlus 9 Pro, but there's no much improvement. What should we do?
Employee 2: Just remove OIS on regular OnePlus 9
Employee 1: Good idea!
Dave: "No one's done that yet" (removing OIS)
Apple: "Found our next feature"
@weinerschnitzelboy are you sure? I remember an old Google Pixel ad saying "We don't offer more features for a bigger phone" which was taking a direct hit at Apple.
@weinerschnitzelboy I mean....the Pro has a smaller battery then the Max, and doesn't have sensor- shift.
The mini has a smaller battery, and 12watt magsafe charging, a smaller display.
The gap between the 12 generation seems like more then the gap between the 11 and 13 generation
The more I watch Dave videos, the more I realise he is better than MKBHD, because Dave always talks the truth and get to the point
You are right. mkbhd makes video for the cinematic experience not for end user benefit
What about MrWhostheBoss?
That is exactly what a Dave2d fan would say.
@@mikiswordbreaker4805 he's amazing
New title: "OnePlus 9: WHAT THE F*** WERE THEY THINKING?!"
I've bought the OP 8T from amazon, as it was 100 euro off on sale, don't regret it at all, much better value then OP9, and been using GCam, and can say photos are quite good, am happy with it
Dave are you gonna review the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro? They even made a color specifically for you!
I think they will have the OIS in the T version, as you said, to make T look better.
First the Loki-Netflix thing then....
3:15 the OnePlus Plus 9 Pro lol
Hey Dave don't take too much stress please
brooooooo this intro!!! well done!!
When you see your favorite "lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study" youtube music video in a DaveD review ;)
Yay. Another video to listen to.
Your thoughts on 9R please
Another piece of crap. Better off getting S20 FE 5G
0:43 watch me give all of my attention to Netflix's Loki and giving zero shit about the phone😂
I was thinking "huh..Loki..on Netflix!? 🤣🤣
Hi @Dave2D - just wanted to say thanks. I had the OnePlus 9 on preorder, and I cancelled it after watching this video. I'm 100% ok with them keeping better features for the Pro model, I don't mind, but intentionally castrating the 9 just to give the Pro some weird edge? Nope, not ok, you won't get my money today OnePlus. Ordered an S21 instead, your review of it seemed a lot more positive.
Hey Dave, what launcher do you use on your phones?
Dave watching the Loki trailer is what I needed 😅
the unexpected C-c-c-c-combobreaker made me laugh out loud in the office. Thanks for that.
For one second I thought that Dave was playing StarCraft 2 on the phone... that would be nice! of course, with a keyboard and mouse + dex + a big screen would be totally awesome XD
Any idea what game he was playing?
Yeah I'd like to know about the name of the game too
What's the theme applied in that device Dave had?
I'm using OnePlus 9, sincerely everything works great, screen 120hz refresh rate, dual stereo speaker sounds great, 888 chip run blazing fast, charging damn fast along the main camera without OIS worst than 8T, and battery drain slightly faster.
Hey dave, the review was very short and sweet. But i would love to see some comprehensive insights.
I know I'm not the only one who wants to know what Icon Pack is being used by Dave! Anyone?? DAVE? It's so clean!

This is one of the best and honest review I have seen in a while from you Dave. I can really feel the frustration here in this video
I'm Not interested In OnePlus anymore after I read that Oppo Will Be Managing it and OnePlus CEO quit
PLEASE, can someone tell me what Android Skin is that; looks minimalistic and cool at the same time
Oxygen Os
oxygen os (oneplus) with custom icons
Fight Icon pack on playstore
I use whicoins icons pack with Oxygen OS, and a personal wallpaper
Whicons with nova launcher
Oneplus is not the same now.
It's was only good till Oneplus 3t for me.
Best reviewed Dave.. thanks 😊
Agreed with your points made here. I planned and saved up to finally upgrade my OnePlus 7 Pro because they were supposed to have fixed the accidental touch issue which I've come to loathe in my 7 Pro to the 9 but because of these moves, I can't part with my savings to get it. I won't do it to myself. Thanks for the video.
I'm still on my OP8T and the camera is so trash that I hate using it.
Autofocus is a 40% hit chance for me.
Honestly.
I tap to focus and this piece of crap can't do it 6/10 times...
Its horrible
Even I'm still using overplus 6T
Ha ha have 7 pro same shit camera
and got amoled screen burn after 10months wtf lol 🤷🏼♀️💩🤦
1:59 In Indian varient they even removed the wireless charging 😭😭
Not a flagship in my book
Ikr
Lol they removed the wireless charging and also they give only 2 5g bands. Oneplus has almost become oppo now.
@@akashsajjan206 yeah.
Probably coz of that new woman CEO or something
Oneplus should think like this:
"Who is dumb enough to buy a ₹50000 phone without OIS and wireless charging and Plastic back" 🙄
@@akb595 They really thought slapping a Big Iconic Camera brands logo on the back would make their phones incredible... absolute tomfoolery

And it has begun
I am a huge fan or a fanboy
But this time it feels sad from inside

Waiting for NOTHING phones now
OnePlus needs a miracle now to come back
Such an honest review must watch for anyone who considers 9 over 9 Pro due to budget constraints. Every year OnePlus disappoints one way or the another, Samsung in India is sold with Exynos instead of Snapdragon. Only iPhone remains the best option, but it is the costliest and sold at a higher price compared to other regions such as the US for instance.
